I visited a Uhaul at 8000 Penn Randall Pl, Upper Marlboro MD. The representative was awesome. The representative mentioned that when I pick up the cargo all uhauls will assemble the cargo. After setting up my rental agreement, I asked who would assemble the cargo? The lady stated, “we don't assemble the cargo and that will be an additional charge”. I mentioned that I spoke with corporate and was told you assemble and at no charge. Finally the manager stated he would come and assemble. How do you rent items to people who never assembled a cargo and expect people like me set that up. I felt this was poor customer service.

When I booked the trailer and then went into check in online. The pick up location changed. I am not sure if an email went out when the changed occur, but if it didnt, that would be my suggestion as if I did not long into check in online, I would not have seen the change in location pick up. Again, my reservation was for 1 pick up location and in actuality the day of I was directed to another location.

That location need to level the area where the u-haul equipment is located. Large potholes that are normally full of water that you have to navigate when trying to pick up your trailers and or vehicles. No one wants to have soaking wet feet.

I reserved an appliance car dolly with my truck and paid extra. I was informed when I arrived that they didn't have a dolly.

The trailer had several issues. Tie downs were broken, or missing. Lights on the top of the trailer were missing or broken.

It was a little difficult to pull out of this location in the truck because the location's exit is adjacent to a busy intersection.

There was and still is a hold on my credit card for $60, my rental was only $21, I've rented many times and I don't ever recall a hold being placed on my card. I believe once the item is returned it should immediately be removed!

The guy who rented me the truck was not very good at reading a gas meter. He was confused with 5/8 and 3/4 gas. He was trying to tell me I didn't bring it back at 5/8 and was pointing to 3/4 as where it should be

The truck had a bad wheel alignment. We had to drive from Maryland to Florida with it in that condition. Service the trucks before renting them to customers.

I'm disappointed that when I paid my final bill using a different credit card my initial card for payment was not reversed and released immediately. Three to 5 says is tooo long to tie up a customers debit card funds.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. The operator attempted to rewrite my rental agreement and overcharge me for the equipment rental. He was inattentive to me and seemed more interested in selling lottery tickets to his patrons. When confronted about the discrepancy, he became agitated and hostile, verbally abusive and vulgar. I was called "a mother fucker" four times. I have not used any impolite language in my conversation with him. There is no excuse for his behavior, which ultimately, diminishes the U-Haul brand and reputation. It is a poor business practice for U-Haul to have such persons represent the company. I do rent from U-Haul frequently and have a good overall opinion of the process, on this occasion though I was utterly taken aback and shocked by the behavior of this agent. You MUST do better U-Haul. I do not recommend for anyone to business with this location. An inexcusable lack of basic customer service awarness reflects poorly on the whole company.

Store opened late about 20min. Item guaranteed was not there. Worked out by accepting smaller trailer I wanted online but was supposedly unavailable. This was not my usual rental location.

The Brandywine location is a convenience store that I passed before even noticing it was a U-Haul dealer. There is no signage. The gentleman at the store didn't know much about the equipment. Additionally, U-Haul booked the trailer for use twice in the same day. I was told to have it back in 4 hours or I'd be charged for another day.

The clerk was unable to apply military discount which costed me an additional $30. He was able to offset the the price with another discount but still didn't equal the full value. Please make this process easier for the clerks.

I had to do the entire hookup my self with no help from the store. They even came out of the store to check the equipment. I'll never choose this location again.

Although the manager assisted me with my paper work and payment he wasn't able to help me hook up my car to the tow dolly which resulted in me having to drive to another location. I wish this was made aware to me prior to arriving at this location because the customer service rep confirmed with me that this would be taken care of.

Have all the equipment available when customer arrives. The move took additional time and Uhaul made me pay for it. Moving essentials are important too. Please do better.

Hidden place. Not very easy to find. Need more signs. Truck was very dirty. Had soda cans under passenger seats. Ashes in the ash tray. Seats had sticky liquid.

I tried to rent a u-haul Vehicle transport paid for the got to the location it was NOT there. they rescheduled for the next day at another location...went there no transport there either. had to take a dolly witch I did not want. the dolly was missing one of the chains hook the straps were bad buy I was desperate so I took it. so as now my credit card was charged 3 times. they say it will be refunded all but the tow dolly. I'm angered and will never use U-haul again and will be telling all of my friends. At this piont the only thing u-haul could and SHOULD is refund all my money...Tow days of running around and never getting what I ordered and paid 3 times is horrible customer service. Keep your promises. Uhaul broke numerous promises to us including: to install a trailer hitch, to have a 5x8 trailer available, our being able to pick up a trailer at a certain location, hooking up the trailer for us.

Stop advertising locations as 24/7 that are not. This one is definitely not. Had to wait until 8am before app would let me start pick up then still had to go to counter for key at pick up and there's no drop box at drop off as app instructs.
