DARRELL BURNETTThis location was the second location I was sent to after the 1st location was at an abandoned storage facility that had not been renting uhauls and not a safe area for uhauls to send people to. The second location I was sent The store staff was kind however trailer was not at above location. I understand why as they have had theft in the area but feel it could have been related upon reservation that the trailer would be in a dark lot with lots of vehicles and have to maneuver around vehicles after meeting them at this location which was not the designated pick up location. Uhaul did not have good corespondents with the locations. The second location was friendly it was just out of the way.

After he parked the truck, I asked him for the mileage and volume of gas, which he confirmed. He was very polite and parked the truck much better than I would have.

Terry JacobsI'm sorry I don't remember your name U-Haul worker, but you were THE best. I think the U-Haul app is a huge pain, there was a massive error on uhauls end that left me with no trucks for my move in day. The employee here (sorry I don't remember your name if you're reading this) hooked me up with a 20ft truck instead of a 10 ft truck. The app told me incorrect information about my contract that she answered when I called (the only U-Haul person I could get a hold of). This 5 star isn't for U-Haul, it's for the employee at 511 W Whitener St. She deserves a raise U-Haul!! *Clap clap*
Sean IngimarsonThis location does not open until 10:00. My pick up time was 9:00. The attendant said they have tried to have this changed on the Uhaul website but have been unsuccessful. This put my family behind in our plans for the day! You all need to reach out to this location and make sure the information on the website is correct!

CHARLES MOSSThere was a major mechanical problem with this vehicle. Either the head gasket was about to blow or the exhaust had fallen off. The engine noise was excruciating loud. There was a strong smell of gas in the cab when driving and opening the window made it worse. I was genuinely concerned the vehicle was going to break down the entire time. I pointed this out to the location before taking the vehicle and they said it wasn't a problem. This was a safety hazard. Not sure I will use U-Haul again. Terrible experience.

Sabrina Eadypeople dont know what they are doing, picked up truck, 2 hours later they call saying i forgot to turn in the keys for the truck i just returned. I explained i just picked up the truck. went by 4 days later to extend my rental because of the rain and they didnt even have were i had the truck. so they had to fix the contract and obviously entered shit wrong cause now they are saying i owe $600 and something. I rented from the one in pelzer and had no problems.

Jessica MackeyI was extremely disappointed with my experience. For starters, online through the Uhaul website it says that this pick up location's store opened at 9:00am. I got there at 9:10am and there was no one to be found and the doors were locked. I began doing my online check-in procedure, and then walked around some more. I eventually found a man who's sister owns the store and said she doesn't open until 10:00am. I had to then wait outside of her store until 10:33am for her and two other employees to get there to open the store. I then had to repeat the entire check-in process as if I had not done it online prior to them getting there. In my opinion I should not have to pay for this experience. It was extremely inconvenient as it put me late to my storage unit, late to getting in my new house and late to my closing. I have been a satisfied customer of uhaul several times, but this truly was a let down.

BILLY PANTOJAMy original reservation was for 7/16 at 9 am. I confirmed the pick up date and time with Mike on 7/13/2022. Michelle confirmed the details on Friday via text message, but noted the pick up location was different than the original reservation. Saturday morning I texted back to ask what would be the earliest time I could pick up the truck, and was told 10:30. I explained that my reservation was for 9 am, I confirmed the details with Mike on 7/13 so why the discrepancy and delay. Michelle said her store didn't open until 10:30. I explained that we were from out of state, had scheduled the pickup for 9 am and needed to have the truck asap. She did not arrive to the store until 10 am, then her system wasn't booting up quickly, and we had to provide all of our information again. And on top of these delays, the person who rented the truck before us didn't leave the key in the drop box. Michelle said it was Uhaul's fault because they hadn't installed a drop box at that specific drop off address. We waited another 15 minutes for the previous renter to bring the key, and then he said he forgot to fill up the truck with gas. He didn't want to be charged the extra fuel charge and said he would take the truck to fill it up. I did tell them that wouldn't work for us and we needed to get the truck asap because we had a 12 hour drive ahead of us and we're already an hour and a half behind schedule. The cab was dirty and smelled of urine.
VICTORIA PARSONThe lady that I got the truck from was an hour late! She called me and told me that she was getting her car looked at. I needed the truck at 9:00am and she promised to be there. My reservation says 9:00 am. She got there at 10:00 am! I have an email that's says my reservation is 9:00 am. I really feel like I deserve a full refund.

STEVE RAMEYI went to the drop off , gate was locked no one around. Wasted 2 hours calling uhaul, spoke to 3 different service members then disconnected. This was the worst drop off ever I am very disappointed and to be honest I deserve money back for not getting home as planned and had to cancel other obligations.

Lorie SwainWe got to the location at our appointed time 8 am. Gates were closed and locked. No signs no drop box for keys. Website said they opened at 9. Waited until 930. Finally called another drop off point in Anderson and dropped off the truck there and was told Empire Masters was no longer opened at that site! Randy, at the other site on the bypass was very helpful and very friendly. Go there!!

Bao TranThe online check in was bad. Old address. The listed phone # kept referring me to another #. The confirmation came back with a different size truck at a different location. I didn't get the confirmation call the evening beforehand. It was very frustrating not certain which of two locations to go to and what truck I would be getting. Both locations were closed and locked up tight. Once they called me 30 minutes after my pickup time, Michelle was wonderful to deal with and got me on my way quickly. Greg was awesome at check out. If it weren't for these two people, Uhaul would be the last truck rental company I'd consider.

I filled it back to where it was surpost to be,there was No damages, and if I did go over the mileage it would of been $10 to 20$ at the most and that's pushing it.so why thay keep my hole 100 deposit. And trying to bill me more.but no one can tell me nothing at all other then I went over the mileage I was surpost to not go over .this is crazy and a ripe off.

After departure, I looked and truck was on 3/4 of a tank. Lesson learned on trusting a shady business. I returned it with 3/4 of a tank and was charged 40 dollars for fuel. Very unorganized and a joke. Highly recommend using another dealer.
