They are all super awesome at Ernie and Sons and that was the best truck I ever rented. Well maintained, easy to drive. I have my place to go to rent a UHAUL and everyone was so super friendly and knowledgeable.

Bill HWill never use this location again, spent over an hour trying to get truck, had to call customer service and they couldn't help either - turns out they gave me the incorrect pin to open the lock box. My friend was trying different combinations and figured it out.
Steven dThe staff was very rude, yelled at me on the phone and hung up on me while asking where to drop key since they were not open when I went to return truck. Online when booking it never said they would be closed. Then I was charged for an additional day for the uhaul even though I returned it on time and talked to someone on the phone about it during closed hours. I had to call to get a refund and the man on the phone said that it must be returned to an open place, which is absolutely false. The online return website did not work properly. I would never return here.

Alan SThe lights didn't work and there was clearly some last history of working on them because the panel was off. The place I rented from made them work, but they quit again when I got home. It delayed packing for a few hours. I was also charge over $600 for a 5x8 trailer rental. I needed to move so I had no choice. Even UHaul employees at both ends were surprised how much the trailer rental cost. I felt it was silly how much they charged.

JAMES HThis location was awful. It was closed the the day I made the arrangements for. The man who worked there who just stopped in basically just said "good luck" and left. It took me over 30 minutes to get the key after that. The only plus was the u-haul rep I spoke to through the process was very nice. Other than that, this system and pick up location was less than satisfactory.

john mI made reservations on line as I did in the past, purchasing the insurance, giving my license information and all the required information, set up my pickup time and received a confirmation number indicating the reservation was complete Upon arriving at my 9:00 am time slot I was greeted by a sign on the door that said CLOSED! I signed in to to UHauls site and was informed that my reservation type had been changed and that I needed to download all the information I previously entered After photographing my license and taking my own photo the system prompted me for a phone number which I entered and it rejected even though this was my only number I called the help # listed on the web page and a prerecorded message informed me that my wait time was 50 minutes nearly 40 minutes later I'm fit to be tied! And decide to drive the 15 miles to the Guilford Uhaul which is where I have rented in the past with no issues I might add and the service person there was able to reach a representative from the New Haven office who was able to get me going after driving back to the East haven location. After finally getting this cleared up it was close to 12:00 So , it took me 10 minutes online to make the reservation but nearly 3 hours To actually get the rental truck after driving nearly 40 miles round trip between the East haven and Guilford locations! I do give kudos to the Guilford and the New Haven Branches for their efforts in making this right, according to uhaul the office on Foxon Blvd, was listed as being open at 8:30 To add even more frustration to this event was the fact that after arriving back to the East Haven location, The office there was open! I will in the future only rent from a major location, not a neighborhood branch I'll drive the extra distance one time
Michael TCustomer service was good. My only comment would be to make the signage more visible from the street as I had a little difficulty locating it.

DANA NI wish I had known about the check in process before I returned the uhaul. I took pictures of the things to upload on my own, but I wasn't able to upload them during the check in after I got home.
Alex MAre you kidding me? I am still waiting for U Haul to call me to explain mysterious charge on my account, the reason why I was charged for fuel, the reason why I reserved a 26’ truck and was given a 15’ which required 3 trips, increased miles etc etc
Joseph CTruck went into "wheel lock" and wouldn't start. We had to call for someone to come out. Luckily a family member realized after sitting around waiting for the employee that it was in wheel lock and got it out. Then my contract shows I was charged $14 for insurance when I specially opted out of this coverage when I made the online reservation. I want a refund of this $14 and I will not be using this location again due to these 2 issues.
christopher TWhy did a get charged a lot of money? It was supposed to be less than 60 and I got charged 91 dollars? The battery in that car was not working. I turned off the car 5 times, and 5 times I had to recharge the battery. Me and my guys wasted a lot of time trying to find the cables to charge the battery. And now I am charge more than I was supposed to pay!!!!! Come on!!!!
ADRIANA VReserved on line.was in and out. Only thing is we should of been told dont drop keys before you do the online return.you need to take pictures of truck and milage! Which we couldnt get milage because we locked truck and dropped the keys So I would recommend them to let you know in advance.other than that was a great experience.

John AThe online rental process was a joke. The rental location was changed by UHaul twice. Then the phone reps got snotty with us because we didn't agree with the change. I will go somewhere else next time.

Kevin Chad to wait such an uncomfortably long time. the place is so difficult to find and they don’t have a parking lot. didn’t have the appliance dolly that i needed.
Rhonda KThe lockbox wouldn't open and the owner's son happened to come by, I asked for help and he told me to call 1-800-Uhaul and left. Thanks. And that was the wrong number by the way. The truck reeked like an ashtray and fuel reading was wrong.

charlene cThe instructions on where to leave the keys after returning the van were not very clear. There was a sign on the lock box saying "don't return the keys here"... but I did anyway because there was nowhere else to do it.
John GAt first the person that dealt with us seem uninterested and took a while before saying anything to us after we got there..she was getting food and opening a package of bread while we stood at the counter waiting for anyone to say anything to us. Otherwise from not being courteous everything was ok

Theresa SI wish that the link sent to my phone to the damage photos taken at the pickup location become inactive after a certain time. I couldn't view them before returning the truck. Also I could only find 2 U-Haul black boxes that were labeled do not drop keys here. There wasn't a drop off box like in the video. I had to drop the keys in a slot in the garage door that said drop keys here but didn't specify U-Haul Hope that was correct. I'll call in the a. m. to confirm everything is fine.
