We had originally needed at 10 foot truck. When we arrived for self check in the truck we were assigned was full of cigarette smoke, ashes, and clearly had cigarettes put out in the door. We called U-Haul and they assured us we could have a different truck but would have to wait till the place opened at 10 (two hours after our 8am pick up). We waited, he didn't show up till 10:20, and took 20 minutes to switch trucks because he didn't know how. We were not offered more miles/discount or anything for having to drive a vehicle with worse gas millage because it was larger plus the time to try to get trailer.

Margaret GeorgeThere was a problem using the tow dolly. My son who picked up the truck & tow dolly said no one would assist at the location. I called the location 24 times during the next 2 hours!!! No one answered! I called the main dispatch and spoke to a guy there at least 3 times. I explained about the tow dolly issue. He tells me to go to the Uhaul site and watch a video!! HE also tried to call that location over and over also. No answer. My son in VA was to pick up the rental but I am in NY and needed to speak with someone at that location ASAP. This caused a huge problem in what was already a very stressful situation. Normally, Uhaul is reliable, but this particular location was useless. Their lack of care and concern is blatant. What ever happened to real customer service!
Chaun DockstaderI was charged $10,5 for fuel ($5,25/gallon!) when I had fueled the vehicle before returning. I have pictures of the dashboard; there was 202 miles to empty upon return; 194 miles to empty upon pickup. Irritating in what was otherwise a pleasant and helpful rental experience. Since the drop off location sells gasoline, I expect this happens regularly.
Claude TurnerUHaul should fix the door latch on the trailer so that it doesn't stick inside the roof of the cab when the door slides open. I had a terrible time getting the latch unstuck and if I were a women, I do not think I would have been able to fix the problem due to the strength and effort it took for me to unstick the latch. Please fix this.

Mark UsryYou are price gouging your trucks depending on which direction they are going. This truck was over $700 going south but if we would have been coming the other way it would have only been a little over $300. A $100-200 difference I could see but not more than double.

James SelckmannlTrailer ball hitch lacked handle, required a tool to lift shaft of female part of ball fitting. Easy enough to do, otherwise reserved trailer would not have been available, and there was zero alternative! Best tools: nail set plus one or two pliers. Easy!

Douglas BernartI ask the young man at Tru Blue if I get the trailer for five days and bring it to the drop off location before the five days will I get a refund and he told me yes. I quickly unloaded it, and returned it in three days expecting a refund of around $300 and the father of the man who told me I would get a refund said if his son said that he was wrong. I'm a disable Veteran and not use to liars. I would not recommend UHaul or Tru Blue to anyone that lies to make money. Terrible.
