Terrible!! requested a 20ft truck at Hahn Road location in Westminster, MD. Was told the day before pick up that we had to drive to Hampstead, MD to get the truck. Then, the morning of pick up, 15 min before leaving for Hampstead, we received another call stating that there was no truck available for us in Hampstead and we could get a truck in Westminster but it was going to be a 26FOOT TRUCK! No way were we going to drive a 26ft truck to Pennsylvania for 3 hours and the truck would probably only be 2/3 full and contents would slide around and be damaged! We were told no 20 ft trucks were available anywhere in our vicinity so we had to settle for a 15ft truck and had to drive to Shrewsbeery, PA for pick up. That resulted a a delay of 90minutes to drive there and back before we could even begin to start loading! On top of that, the location in Shrewsberry was closed so we couldnt get the furniture pads that we had ordered so I had to make an additional trip to another uhaul location in Westminster to pick up pads! This is ridiculous and I plan on sharing our horrible experience with others. We should have been reimbursed financially but all we got was the extra miles credited to drive the truck from Shrewsberry. As you should well know, moving day is extremely stressful enough and its more about valuable time that was wasted getting our truck! We are not at all pleased!!

Ainsley MThe vehicle ran rough especially on starting. It was clean and remained so but I was inappropriately charged a cleaning fee which I want refunded and have yet to get a response about. This location called me after business hours the evening before my early morning rental that they did not have the dolly and blankets I needed. It too me two hour that night and another hour the next morning to get those items.
MARKO BThis was not the one I requested. I went 20 onion Blvd first and that's when I found out about Forest Ave location. Your app is the most frustrating one I have ever used.

When taking pictures, if the phone rotated, it would reset the whole process and I had to enter all the information again. I also struggled to even get to the right screens to make my selections. This was on an Android phone.

Leon EDudes, your app didn't work and I wasted 1 hour on the phone trying to return my dolly. First time on the line with customer service we were disconnected. I had to call again another 35 min wait. My time is valuable, I have used uhaul over a dozen times over the years with great experiences. This time was very frustrating! I truly hope this isn't going to be the new normal

JOHN MWe struggled with the website check in, about half the struggle could have easily been our end, but the website kicked us out repeatedly through the process. My ex husband suggested walking in the restaurant and asking if anyone there knew anything about the U haul stuff, and there was a gentleman in there that handled that stuff. Once he was involved, it was incredibly easy, and he was just genuine pleasure to deal with, incredibly kind and understanding! He literally took care of everything and had the keys in my hand in 5 min. Even walked outside and started the truck :) I feel terrible for not remembering his name because he absolutely deserves recognition!! Thank you for making my move be that much smoother!!
Stephanie SI was provided a vehicle that had a check engine light on as soon as we picked it up. I was told that the UAHL shop said they were aware that the light was on, and it should not be a problem. Well during the 21-hour trip, other lights like the ABS lights the transmission sensor light, the cruise control would automatically come off as soon as I hit a bump, etc... The issue created a gas refill more often as the truck started using fuel more quickly. It also limited the M controls for hills which also ate more fuel. It cost me at least 2 additional tanks of gas that was more than frustrating.

Radboud PNone of the blankets or dollies I ordered were provided. Upon return I was told that sometimes when people order via the internet that the orders don't show all of the extra items. Sounds like bs to me.
Kenneth RNo complaints about the location. I dropped off on a Saturday when they were closed so I never interacted with anyone from the facility. Trying to close out the drop off with the app was frustrating and unsuccessful. I had to call and the operator told me to drop off the key. I did receive an email on Monday closing out my transaction so I appreciate the work of Fabers (the drop off facility) in closing me out in a timely and accurate manner!!
Kevin RStarted to do e-check in and owner came out to unhook me and take back the trailer before I could even properly sign in to the Uhaul website. Quick and easy.
Erik JUsing the app to check in is terrible. Even the customer service people I called for help said that the app doesn't work well and has lots of problems. Do yourself a favor and rent a truck somewhere else. Moving is hard enough without this hassle!!
Dave MThe pickup situation was a nightmare. App screen frozen, did not allow access (customer ahead of me had same issue so in general your process has an issue that needs fixing). When I finally did get it to unfreeze and work (30 minutes later) I had to reenter a great deal of information that I had already entered even though my order number was on the screen. Had to again submit my drivers license (did it the day before as requested by text. The 800 operator Diana Ortega was fabulous...patient, kind, stay with me the entire 45 minutes it took for the app to work. Even after 45 minutes using the app the final picture of dashboard gas and mileage refused to upload. Now trying to get the picture I took on my camera back to Diana and having difficulty. The check-in process worked like it should (thank God!). Daughter-in-law had the exact same hassle and will never do it again and I am not sure I will ever rent from U-Haul again. Again Diana Ortega was superb!

Upon returning of the truck again, could not get the system to load past the first screen. It finally loaded 20 minutes after I left the location. This system needs help.

Renato SI was overcharged 14 Dollars for rental equipment that was not included with the truck. A furniture dolly, and utility dolly. I even provided pictures showing they were not included.
Scott LThe electronic drop off process was easy and user friendly. Great option. I was confused by the additional mileage charge. I do not understand how I went over by two miles as I did drive from pick up location to my destinations, fuel station and drop off location.

CARL PEasy pick up and drop off. Manager friendly, informative. Easy process. Would recommend. I wanted to rent a van but the smallest I could get in my area was a 10' truck which was fine.

Jennifer WWe reserved a truck to be picked up in Mechanicsburg at 8:30 am. We received a call at 6:22 am the morning of our reservation that we would need to drive to Shrewsbury to get what we reserved. This added 2 hours onto an already long day as well as additional gas and mileage. Completely unacceptable.

PATRICK LMy experience far exceeded my expectations. It was an emergency situation. I reserved the truck at 1am. and picked it up 9 hours later. Pick up was fast and easy. Returning the truck was also easy and simple, and when I received my final receipt, the fee was less than the estimated amount.
Cleotha MThe self-checkin and out was ridiculous. I was so stressed out trying to successfully pick up this truck on my telephone and the internet, I will never rent another truck when the office is not open again. It was a terrible experience!
Elaine LPrices at all locations are now very misleading, will not recommend the company in general. Will recommend the people but not U-Haul, going with a different company in the future, thank you.
