The vehicle was clean a well maintained except for the inside of the windshield also the wiper blades should be replaced. Personally I feel the mileage rate is to high it’s well above the national average.

Nothing. It was exactly what I ordered and the staff were efficient and friendly, going out of their way to assure me that the vehicle was the right size for my moving needs. Would definitely go back to this location if I require a vehicle for moving in the future.

It had nothing to do with the location. We booked a (21' truck 3 weeks in advance and were told it would be no problem to get. We were moving a total of 0.75 km from one house to another in a small town. We were called 48 hours before our move and were Told we had to drive 33km and get our moving truck which was only 15' in size. We were then told we were expected (no questions asked) to pay for kms and gas and that it had to be returned to the same destination as pick up. We had to rearrange our rental and pay more than double what we expected as the last minute 'change' would have ruined our plan to move that weekend. Not a great feeling whe You buy your very first home. Incredibly disappointed and would never recommend U-haul to anyone. Ever.

I had ordered a dolly and 12 blankets in addition to the truck and nothing was in the truck. I had to go to another location to get the dolly and I never got the 12 blankets I had pre-ordered. Half way to my destination the truck engine light came on - I did make the trip without incident but there was the worry about why the engine light came on

I am very happy with the excellent customer service at this location. I also found UHaul boxes, bubble wrap and other packaging material at this location, which was very useful and saved me the trouble of going somewhere else to get the stuff.

I was given a 5x8 trailer instead of the 4x8 trailer I requested because there were none in the area apparently. Yes I paid the 4x8 price but it was still (in my opinion) an inconvenience because I was driving 3500kms with it. Cost me more fuel and wear and tear on my vehicle.

Keep tanks full before giving to new customer. And ask it be returned full. It's shady to keep it at 1/2. It seems like you want to trick people into spending more. Because it's easier to either go over half. Or to be under and you charge us. That seems like a greedy limbo to throw your customers into. Also. If we book a 20' truck online, it should be able to tell you (from a database) whether or not your location will have that truck. I got an email the day before saying "your 17' truck is available". Nothing mentioned that "we know you ordered a 20', but all we have available is 17' your price will change according". Nothing like this anywhere. So naturally I call an spend my time figuring out what went wrong. There's no excuse. And to tell someone the day before "you're getting a smaller truck tomorrow. Oh and it's $50 to cancel". That's pretty low. Give fair warning. 17' was not big enough for me. I had to quickly find backup in 24h.

The attendant was very helpful and accommodating. I would happily recommend this location to anyone needing to rent a trailer. Kudos to the manager of the store who is very new at the process and abviously wishing to make a go of it.

I moved from Nanaimo, so I expected a truck from this location. The evening prior to my move I was sent an email saying I had to pick up the truck in Duncan which is a 45 minute drive from Nanaimo. This was a major inconvenience! I called the toll free number and the girl was unapologetic and unhelpful. I called the locations in Nanaimo myself to see if someone had a truck I could come get that night if they were closed the next day. I found out that they were all closed and no one returned my calls in time. I was extreamly upset over the whole situation since I now had no alternative but to travel to Duncan which cause us to get to the new home later than expected and unload in the dark.

I spoke to had the same sort of story and feeling. No one ever gets good service from uhaul, just less rude or incompetent service. The process takes a ridiculously long time given what a menial job it is. Uhaul service is no not just bad it's hands down the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've rented from uhaul 6 times each time in a different location and the one thing I can say is that the quality of service described above is consistent.

It would be nice if the pick up location would have been the one that I HAD SELECTED when I booked on line. I had to google map this location and drive further to get the vehicle. I had deliberatly picked the other location when booking on line because I knew how to find the place and it was closer.

This trailer was extremely dangerous!! There were no running lights (almost was rear ended by tractor trailer first night), and the right turn signal did not work! I was the one who tested the turn lights on the trailer before driving away and the dealer told me that everything was woirking that morning when he brought the trailer in.. Then i found his electrical tape job to be the problem and he re-wired the wires with more electrical tape! Then he told me the lights were working and i drove away thinking it was fine, later to find that the only light that worked on the trailer was the left turn signal. No running lights put my entire family in jeopordy.

I had a problem because the truck I had with equipped with kilometers and this did not work with the computer system u-haul uses (miles). The vendor in Duncan did sort it out but it was a little glitch. The personnell at this location have lots of patience and are very tolerant.

We were told our ten foot truck would be at this location at 10:30 am. It was not, instead we had to pay more for a 14 foot truck, or wait until noon for the ten foot truck. The truck was dirty, smelly, and had very little gas. The customer service offered from U-Haul is some of the worst I have experienced, the people we spoke to had little to no knowledge of the company's locations in Vancouver, and were no help at all. I will never rent from U-Haul again.

was not informed that the requested location (victoria) had no trailers until 30 hours before the planned move... we had to drive over 2 hours out of our way (long weekend traffic) in order to pick up the trailer. had we known prior to this we could have made other arrangements or arranged for someone else to pick up the trailer. all in all, i am very dissatisfied with this service and will not use it again.

After spending $200 on the ferry, $200 for fuel, $150 on a motel and $850 to rent the truck - I think that it was rather petty to charge $2.69 for six km over the arbitrarily assigned 500ish km we were alotted for the trip.

A reservation for a trailer should not be given if the equipment is not available when and where it is reserved for. I made a reservation for a trailer in Victoria and ended up having to go 70 miles out of my way to pick up a trailer in Duncan as there were none available in Victoria. So if you can't keep the reservation what's the point of making one. I think I should get some compensation for this reservation debacle. yours truly. pat

I would recommend because it was a third the price of the other uhaul location in town. The truck cab and bed were full of trash. The other Uhaul location- Adams tarp and tool in Duncan quoted me $283 for the same rental that was $29.95 at this location.

When I got to thunder tempo, they had a smaller trucker 14ft and a trailer booked. I had booked a 17ft truck because My Father who I was moving lived on Vancouver Island and the ferry cost is very high for long overheight vehicles. Somehow the booking got changed over the computor, which meant I had to pack the truck extremialy tight and have a friend come over with his van to get all of my father belongings. P.s. Make sure the size of truck is correct when someone books it.

I was asked this morning why I brought the old Uhaul truck accross From Cowichan Lake RD in Duncan B.C. to Saskatoon SK..I told Darcys in Saskatoon that was the Truck I was given..He told me that it was an in town Truck not to be taken across Canada..So my Question to you is why was that unsafe Truck given to myself and my wife? The other thing is I stopped in Brooks Alberta on my way to Saskatoon..In the morning I had to pay $100.00 for a boost..Then in Saskatoon the same thing I had to pay for a Boost another $100.00..This was an Experience..I hope you people keep your promises and reinburse my credit card for charges that shouldn't have had to be paid..I was suppose to pay for 17 foot truck not 26 foot...Its a very unsafe Vehicle...Thak You For Your Time...

The woman who worked behind the counter(who I would've guessed was the owner but can't really be sure) was exceptionally rude and it seemed as though our business was less than wanted. My boyfriend and I were shocked by how it seemed that we were more like a nuisance to her rather than customers. If we were to rent from U-Haul again and were sent to that location again I would request a different one even if it were further away to avoid another experience like the one we had.

The 24hr notice of pick-up location is a great feature..But if the location given is not my resident city/town(Ladysmith)then more notice should be given so adjustments can be made.

We reserved online and were then asked to drive from Nanaimo to Duncan to pick up the vehicle which was very inconvenient. However, the service we received over the phone as well as at both locations was otherwise good and very friendly.
