Alex S.Make sure BEFORE you send out a receipt that you have charged the proper amount of mileage, and NOT DOUBLED the amount and charged the customer too much!!! Also, when you are attempting to charge someone's card, make sure you do everything properly so that you don't call your customer to say that their card is declined, when it wasn't...our bank said no one even tried to charge anything on that card...make sure you know how to use your technology. AND...when you do realize YOU have made a mistake, don't tell the customer that THEY need to call u-haul HQ to straighten it out~the company is responsible for fixing their own mistakes, not the customer...fix those things and you may have repeat customers~not us, but others in the future!!!
Matthew R.Attempted to return after hours. Due to poor cell reception was unable to determine location with the U-Haul website. Attempted to contact U-Haul but was unable to due to length of wait time, I called a number that was on the door Of Garvins community store in Springfield, South Carolina and it happened to be the owner of the business. He came to his drop off location and did our return. Mind you, this was way after business hours, but he came from his home to assist us in the return. This should be a model for your U-Haul stores. When we went to put the car on hitch the hitch flew in the air and almost knocked my sobs head off!!!..i couldn't believe what I was seeing....so no recommendations from me!! And the truck drove TERRIBLY!! No alignment at all!! I've NEVER saw so Manny middle fingers n all my life!!!!

jatarus A.A mistake somewhere in your system indicated I was using the "cell phone" 24/7 method, and I was not. This caused me to sit in the freezing cold for 2 hours waiting for the guy to appear so I could get the truck I rented and paid for in advance. NOT NICE AT ALL!

michel L.Left the truck with about 5/8 tank of gas (had another set of eyes with me to verify). Wrote it down on the contract. Picked it up in FL with a quarter tank. Receipt showed that the tank only had 3/8 tank of gas which is a lot less than what I left it with. There was no one there to talk to about anything. I was going to see if they could work something out about the mileage overage and leaving over a quarter tank more gas in it. The drop off location looks run down and bared up like a liquor store. Not very inviting at all. Trash was everywhere outside on the ground. This is my first time with a UHaul and will be my last. If I would have known about the gas I would have syphoned the gas I put in it back out h til I was at a quarter tank.

Angel J.this was the worst experience of my entire life, what you can do to improve is make sure the equipment that is reserved by the customer is actually at the facility at time of reservation pick up as promised. it might make customer a little less frustrated. I personally will never use uhaul again, and will try to make sure everyone I know will not as well, it was completely horrific.

DARRELL F.cancel my reservation even though I had a confirmation text showing time and address. Drove over an hour to pick up truck and took me 45 mins to get the truck because of the hassle. Had to call corporate multiple times. Would never recommend.

DARRELL F.I started out looking for a 14' truck. No one in the area had one. I ended up going to "Wesley's paint and body" where they had a 20' truck available and made a reservation 3 days in advance. I arrived on my pick up date to find that Chad, the owner, had already rented the truck out. I later found out after calling UHaul customer service that he rented the truck out in MY name! I ended up going to Garvins Community store where I was supposed to receive a 26' truck as a free upgrade with my original quote of $275. After the call to uhaul was made the deal was settled and I went to get the truck. He said he needed a credit card to put the security deposit on and that was all, it wouldn't even be charged. After we finished the paperwork he handed me the keys and we left. I called uhaul again to see when I was to pay the rental few and what not and was told that Garvin had charged my card the entire amount! That was not agreed upon. I was told I would pay at the drop off. All in all this was a TERRIBLE experience and I will not be dealing with either business or Uhaul again. Thumbs down.
James B.The owner of the store was amazing. He saw us drive up when he was in town. It was Sunday and the store was closed, but this man came and opened his store and I even got my deposit back instead of having to go back Monday. This man cares about his customers and yours.
