The computer software to rent a truck and return it was awkward and user unfriendly. The truck had the "check engine" light on which we were told when we returned it that it has been on for a long time, so no one worries about it. It took way to long to go through thee whole process. The manager did not seem to care about anything, leaving up to the ladies in charge to do the best they could. A shameful example of how Uhaul operates in a small location.

Dale Bruce G.False advertising they took $160 out of my bank account when I just used it in town!! Brought it back as it was when I took it out as was only supposed to be charged $40,41 and then I get told there's nothing they can do to refund me the $119,59!! I will never go there again!!
APRIL T.Kitty is a super lady and even helped me with the hookup when I picked it up! Having delt with the online Uhaul in the past , I highly recommend the walk in rental if you can get that to work rather than mess with online! Thanks Kitty!

Michael F.I called to ask about keeping it a few hours extra since the storage place wasn't open for drop off until after the return time. The people said it was fine and it would only be a 20$ charge for the extra day/few hours. I bring it back and instead am charged over 54$ for the day despite being told it would be MUCH less. When we asked about it, they said they couldn't change the prices and uhaul controlled that. The issue is that they lied /told us a lesser amount first so we weren't prepaired for more. Terrible.

JOE S.When we went to rent this trailer the women at this location told us they give a military discount, and when we pick up the trailer present the military ID and she would give it..When the time came she said She didn't say that..She lied. Don't do buisness with people like that.
WILLIS M.Pick up was a shit show. We got there a little before our pick up time of 6:30 and had trouble navigating what to click on the website. The instructions and YouTube video did not match the setup of the actual webpage. We finally figured it out. Halfway through I was notified that I needed a list of extra ID's that included a passport and calling references The initial directions said have your iPhone, internet connection, drivers license, and credit card- all of which I had. We finally got through the reference ordeal and then we couldn't find the “lockbox†which we thought would be located on or near the building close to the key dropbox which was clearly marked. After calling U-haul and timing out on the internet, we discovered the lockbox we spent 30 minutes searching for was a padlock on the back of the truck. Why would you call a padlock on the back of the truck a lockbox? It's VERY confusing. The customer service rep we spoke to said he receives many calls from our location with the same problem.

She was unaware of a fee would be charged if I cancelled and did not offer to check. She never walked the truck with me and she was unaware and unsure how to check for return discounts.

MORGAN G.At first I went online and attempted to rent a 15ft truck from Geneva, when that was unavailable I got a call in the morning and we were sent to a different U-Haul provider in the next town over. When we arrived at the place there was no one there and the number left on the door went unanswered and the mailbox was full. After several failed attempts to contact the Ashtabula store to get our truck and keys we tried to contact the Geneva store to see if they had any trucks available. They had a 10ft truck available that ended up being enough room to get my classroom things moved. The workers were kind and helpful in Geneva and got us on the road again. They said the confirmation number from the online rental never reached them and they weren't aware anyone needed a truck until I personally called though. I still never heard back from the other store. Luckily we were only set back about an hour off schedule.

Janice V.The lady told me I could have it until Sunday at 2 pm but I was getting messages 6 hours later saying that I had to have it back after I gave a deposit of 200$ and then on top of it my mile rate was supposed to be 40cents and I got hit with 0,99 cent a mile. This is the worst experience through uhual ever and im not paying that. I'm barely working and pregnant with twins and its such bullshit

Also the ride in that moving land was terrible you could feel every crack and bump in the road and I drive semi truck for a living that is not a smooth ride like you advertise.

Ron C.Horrible. The lady didn't know how to do her job. Needed a picture of my ID and couldnt figure out how to get it from her from to the uhaul website. We had to show her. She didn't how to navigate through for rental of the trailer and it had to be redone by someone else after we had left. The trailer it's had lights out and was filthy. Go to another uhaul center and save yourself the hassle.
Kathleen K.It took nearly an hour to process the truck rental that we reserved due to issues capturing the drivers license photos submitted to the system. This severely delayed our move and cost us some of the people that were only able to help for part of the day. Completely inconvenienced.

John W.I wasn't explained anything about drop off destination. I am being charged for wrong drop off destination. This is wrong! I was not told if if changed drop off locations I would be charged extra. The pickup destination was busy an I was basically pushed through. Now I have to wait for the money that was charged to my account for a bunch of poop. Please give the money that you took off my bank card because I really need it. I am jobless until next week and need that money to buy groceries. I am a person that lives pay check to pay check. Thanks for your time. Timothy l Potter.
