Richard NThis rental was my worst experience ever with U-Haul by far. On Thursday 9/22 I reserved this van for the Foxboro MA location for a 4:30am pick up. The next morning Friday 9/23 I got a call saying that van had gone down for maintenance and the rep asked if I would be willing/able to go to Norwood instead. I agreed. The rental was still supposed to be for a 4:30am pick-up. I asked if a later time might be available and was told no. When I arrived at the U-Haul location in Norwood the morning of my rental 9/24 the U-Haul app I was supposed to be able to use to get my van informed me I would have to wait until 9am (4,5 hours after my pick-up time) to pick-up my van. I called U-Haul just to see and confirm, and the rep I spoke with confirmed what the app stated and said the location failed to set-up the key for me in the lock-boxes near the van the night before. We then because we had no other choice rescheduled my reservation for 9am that day (9/24). Around 7am I checked my email and found my reservation had been canceled. So I called U-Haul for the second time that day and the rep "un-canceled" me and "re-rescheduled" me for 9am. When I arrived back at the location at 9am sharp the U-Haul rep was not at the location and I was asked to wait for them to show up by the cashier, which they never did. The other person at the station (the cashier) must have tired of me pacing around for 15 minutes called the rep who should have set-up the key for me on the night of the 23rd or at the very least have been at the location at 9am with bells on to apologize for the 4,5 hour delay. The cashier then while on the phone with the rep who had failed at their job twice now asked for my ID which I provided, he read it to the rep on the phone and I was then handed the keys. The cashier told me to return the gas to the same level and give him the keys when I was done. He also asked how long I would be. I told him a few hours, and he said that's fine, just have it back by 6. If I could have the truck back any time before 6 why couldn't the first rep who called me on 9/23 have booked me for a later time? I returned the van at 11:55am on 9/24. At 5:35pm I received at text message telling me to contact U-Haul about my overdue rental. Again I returned it at 11:55am. I then called U-Haul again and the rep put a note in that I had indeed returned the van at 11:55am. After that call I noticed on my final bill I was charged for 2 rental periods instead of 1. At this point I would like a full refund please. And as a final note the rep I called about the supposed overdue rental promised her manager would call me by 10am Monday which has now come and gone.

Scott WPeople here were very nice, but were not really sure what to do with a returning U-Haul truck. The manager knew but not the staff. It worked out fine in the end. However, This was not the drop-off location I wanted. I was called and told not to go to the one I had booked. As a result I had to pay for 20 more miles. Not too serious but it was a pain and fortunately I just got the truck back within the 2 days. I would have been VERY upset If I had had to pay for another day.
Graham AThe location and service representative were wonderful, but the Uhaul app was very misleading as to what options were available at this location. I requested an upright dolly, which were not available at that location. I also requested a pickup at 7:30 am, which was not an actually available time. The store didn't open until 9am, and I had to go inside to get the key... So the phone only trucksharing was not a viable option. I'm pleased with the customer service, and disappointed with the difference between what was requested and what was available.

However I only was forced to use this location because my reservation was cancelled by uhaul hours before I was scheduled to pick up at the other Norweod location on route 1. The reservation and uhaul reliability is bad. I've made 3 reservations with uhaul over the past month and two of them were handled poorly. Huge opportunity to improve customer service.
