The only good thing that came from this renting from Uhaul was that the owner at my pick up location was nice. He just happened to be walking by when we arrived to pick up the Uhaul, I assume he lived close by and he was nice enough to open up early to serve me. Uhaul dropped the ball by telling me that I could do pick up anytime by using the app when they never let the location know that I would be doing that and would be picking up the uhaul before the location opened up at 9 am. I arrived for 7:30, so I greatly appreciate Mr. GM for opening up to allow me to get the truck. the truck, however, was not the best. the check engine light was on and when you hit the brakes instead of slowing down the engine revved up and made horrible sounds, sounds like the transmission was going out. I did not get a chance to inspect the truck either before leaving and didn't realize until after my things were loaded the truck had ants which got onto all of my things. Nevertheless, we made it 5-1/2 hours to our destination.

The location was fine for picking up and dropping off U-Haul equipment though no one was present at 4:00pm 4/15/19 when I dropped it off. The trailer was not in good operating condition. One of the TWO straps to secure the car to the trailer via a web over the front weeks was torn and unusable. I had to use a make shift strap I made myself. I also paid over $100 more for my 4 day rental as my friend who rented the same trailer from another location in Detroit for the same weekend trip.

We received a call from U-Haul to set up a drop off location in Baton Rouge. The location was set up BY U-Haul for us to drop the trailer we rented off at a location on Highland Rd., which was at the Velero Station on Highland (4464 Highland Rd). Now after starting my day having to travel 80 miles out of my way, I finally was able to make it to Baton Rouge and move my daughter to college. After moving all day and ending the day at 7:00pm, we made our way to the drop off location, again set up by U-Haul. We arrived and encountered an extremely rude representative of U-Haul. This person, after we unhooked the trailer in a spot next to the other trailers on the lot (out of the way), tells us in a very unprofessional manner that we could not drop the trailer off, that we had to reconnect and go some place else that she was at capacity. I was at the drop off location set up through U-Haul, not a location I just observed and decided to stop at. When asked about where we need to take the trailer to drop it off, she would not assist and said she doesn't know but she couldn't take the trailer. We had to reconnect the trailer, travel down the road (busy Baton Rouge traffic) pull over and search for a drop off location. Now we attempted to contact U-Haul, as again are the ones that set this location up, but it was apparently after hours and no one was available to assist. After calling several locations we made contact with a representative that said he would accept the trailer after hearing what we were going through. This location was located at 2550 Evangeline St., which was a good distance from the original drop off location. But we did not have much of a choice being the assigned location refused us. This gentleman was more than helpful which was greatly appreciated. So, overall this was a horrible experience from the start of this adventure. I also attempted to email U-Haul with comments on this move and received no reply. At this point I feel I cannot promote U0Haul and recommend them use your company. Now lets see if U-Haul even makes an attempt to make this right!

The truck had roaches in it and was filthy. I had to clean it myself. After informing rental agent of this he did not try and accommodate me in any way He could’ve at least not charge me for 5 gallons of gas. It’s not like he pays for gas!!!! Theses trucks are supposed to be cleaned already also charged 2.00 environmental fee!!!! I WILL NEVER EVER ZFREQUENT THIS PARTICULAR LOCATION AGAIN, the truck is also beat up and raggedy??

The guy added the safe tow insurance to my card within my knowledge and even admitted to it to me and made me call the 1800 number and they would not give me back my 35$ this is very upsetting
