The application process was quick and effortless. The only negative thing I have to say is pay attention to the mileage BEFORE you leave the lot. What was printed on my paper work and what the odometer said were 2 completely different things. I did not pay attention because I was in a rush I got charged for 50+ miles when I only drove 25....I couldn't contest it because I did not notice until the day I returned it.Justin L.

Truck was automatically in TOW mode. That was not discussed, and the truck rode rough. Perhaps a sign or note in the truck to take it off TOW for better handling would be helpful. I am a woman using the truck for purchase pickup,.and I am.not a frequent truck driver.Mary C.

The truck was clean to an extent. I think it would benefit customers in this Covid time in life to do more cleaning where the people are and maybe tag the truck somehow that it has been thoroughly cleaned for folks peace of mind. I should not have been charged for 2 days....picked up at 4:30 pm on Saturday. Returned at 5:30 pm on Sunday. Was not told that I would be charged for a second day if I returned it after hours, Was just told to use the drop box if I returned it after hours. Feel free to credit my card or lose a customer. Even though I had reserved well in advance and did the check-in . I still waited for well over 20 mins No paperwork had been generated They kept asking me all the same info that was already provided I did not have this problem at Marvin's in Colchester and would have gone back if they had 10 ft. The contact-less option was a bit clunky, for instance we were instructed to go to the location first and then send our information for me to be approved. This step could have been done before going to the location so we would not have to wait. The person we dealt with was exceptionally helpful though, which made the experience much better.Sean R.

What is an after hour service fee? The truck was returned ahead of schedule with more gas and you charge an after hours service fee of 20 $! No more Uhaul for me!Gary B.

Paid twice as much as last year agent told me they are trying to recoup money from covid19. Agent did mot seem to know much info when askef.was on phone more then talking to me.did not inspect truck with me.did not tell me there was a mileage limit till after I signed. Only used 3 days and less mileage but when asked for money off they said they don't do that and also no veterans discount. I will not use or recommend u haul to anyone.John C.

She was very welcoming and friendly, answered any questions I had. Made sure I had everything I needed and sent me off with a smile amidst the ongoing pandemic. The only issue I have is that I rented a truck from Maine to CT (the original rental spot was my drop-off spot going back to Maine, and vice versa). Had 15' truck from Maine and now 10' going back home. Same exact locations and cost 3Ã- as much to go back to Maine from CT, quite literally. THAT is my only complaint. If a customer returns a rental one day early on a 2 day reservation, with appropriate advance warning, a full refund should be allowed for the day not used. I was told it could not be done.. The man in the office did not come with us to go over the pre-trip condition of the truck as we requested. Truck cab was pretty dirty. I had ordered ten furniture pads, only gave us five. We had a 9:00 pick up time. He was ten minutes late. I specifically requested a drop off location on one place, then received a text telling me my drop off location was a hundred miles away. I had to call customer support to correct it. The running condition of the truck we got was only fair. It made noises like it had a bad belt or something like that.Deborah M.

My only issue was the grandmas attic space leaked. Unfortunately it rained the day we moved and my wife's cloths got wet along with some of the other boxes. Was disappointed that the only comment made was â€œreally was the door shutâ€. Otherwise truck was clean and served its purposeRita P.

I wanted a trailer for a motorcycle and ended up getting a box trailer with no ramp to load the motorcycle. I had to obtain a ramp myself which was unsafe. It ended up being a liability for myself and others. This was a bad experience on my behalf and I'm hoping for uhaul to contact me.paul P.

The truck was mechanically not functioning properly. The truck had a vibration that occurred at all speeds and amplified especially over 50/55mph plus the transmission was not functioning properly as it was shifting incorrectly especially at highway speeds. The truck shook at idle and the inside of the cab had an unpleasant odor. Due to the mechanical issues I encountered a large fuel cost as the truck was not performing to a baseline standard. I would like to be contacted with compensation offerings in lieu of the experience. However the location where I rented the truck were excellent and wonderful to work with. 860-877-2728. The office is not set up with any equipment you have to speak to someone on the phone when you pick up and the return is written down on a scrap of paper. Would be nice if this was a bit more formal and trustworthy, Nice people though.James M.

I had requested the Wallingford, CT location. Uhaul sent me ~50 miles away...over an hour's drive to pick up the truck. This was ridiculous! While Rod at Goldie Locks location was very helpful and apologetic, it didn't really make up for the amount of time it took just to get the truck. Also, it would have been nice if he gave me a run down on the truck...like how to adjust the mirrors.RHONDA P.
The GPS we all use does not tell us which roads are illegal to drive on with a UHaul. Providing guidance will help us from trying to located legal routes.Eric G.
Service attendant was friendly and helpful. His office was an absolute mess. Truck was brand new and spotless, but hung up in low gear twice while in use. The location did not have pads or a dolly which had been reserved (at Westchester, CT location), so I had to go back to Westchester to get them.richard S.
