While I am thankful the employee wasn't gone to lunch yet, as the app wasn't working for me, the shack location was FILLED with cigarette smoke. The truck I got reeked of smoke as well with lots cigarette ashes throughout. Paperwork said tank was FULL-it wasn't. Tire pressure light was on-went to gas station and front left tire was 44psi where it should've been in the 70s. The engine light was also on-the dash said there was 0 % oil life left. The back of the truck had metal shavings and wasn't â€œcleanâ€ as reported on the paperwork. I went to this location strictly because of its' closeness but I will definitely consider other competitors. Have pictures if you want.Nicole R.

The website for mobile pick up of equipment is the worst website I've ever used. The amount of times I had to refresh and exit in and out and try to figure out where every single location setting was in my phone was ridiculous. It took us 30 minutes after we arrived in order to actually get our vehicle, making us late for the furniture pickup we needed the equipment for. This is the second time that picking up or returning equipment via the website was ridiculously complicated and the servers crashed every other time we loaded a new page. At this point I will never use uhaul again.Chase P.

The vehicle was dirty. Mud on the floor of the cab, the windshield had some substance splattered on the inside. The front left tire was significantly low on pressure and I had to put approx. 40 PSI of air into it. Also, the cargo area was not swept and had parts and dirt from the last customer.Torsten W.

The truck I reserved was not available. They provided me with a larger truck and said it was ready to pick up, but they didn't change the pickup time online. It took 30 minutes to get a representative to fix it. They also charged me for 3 gallons of gas for driving 10 miles.Andy Y.
I was the first person waiting at the location, I was there at 6:45am waiting for the location to open for business since they open at 8:00am but the manager didn't come in till it was 15mins to 9am and when she came in to ope the establishment she decided to serve a WHITE couple first before me, been that they came one min before her arriver. she just accepted my payment and told me to get the Equipment without inspecting the vehicle am towing with or showing me how to connect the Equipment to my Vehicle, also I was told by the customers care representative I spoke to on the phone that she was going to give me a $50 discount because the location manager was taking long to open which I haven't seen.Joshua S.
Please inspect all equipment before customer arrives to make sure it is ready to go. The truck I was renting would not start after the key was given to me. Found out it was a new key that had not been programmed to the truck after being replaced by a lost key. This should have been done before the truck was given to me. Had I not showed up an hour before my pickup time I would have been delayed for almost an hour. Everything worked out ok because I showed up early.Tyrone M.

First and foremost, I went to the wrong location and when I contacted C/S because the location I was at wasn't open, C/S didn't even tell me I was at the wrong location so when "I" finally realized it, I had already lost an hour of my rental. I wound up having to extend my rental and not happy about it. My order was also for a hand-truck which they didn't have & I didn't know until I got there-the agent there was as cold as the day was. I was so hoping the agent at the site would have given me a comp extension but she was not sympathetic at all. Better communication is definitely needed.carmaleta B.

Did not have 20' truck we reserved. If not for cancellation of another person, we would not have been able to move. We would have lost help and would have to have extended lease at place we were staying. Also much bigger truck 24', verses 20'. Increased stress, difficulty maneuvering in city, I'm not a professional truck driver. Very poor experience, request adjustments for mileage. I do not feel I should pay at all. Please refund all funds, rental, mileage, etcâ€¦PETER J.

There needs be another way to return the rental during after hours because the app wasn't working and hold times for customer service were very long. The location was easy to find and access. The mobile check-in was surprisingly easier than I expected. Pick-up was a good experience. The only reason for 4 stars is we only needed a 10 foot truck, but the website said there were no 10 foot trucks available, yet there were 2-3 of them sitting there when we showed up. I know there were probably reasons they weren't available, but it made for bad optics without someone there to answer my questions.....Paul B.

The woman in the office was very nice and tried to be helpful. But I reserved a 20 foot truck and it was not there when I went to pick it up at my scheduled time. She said she'd been tryin g to get it back all day and acted like it was no big deal... said it would "probably" be back in 15 minutes or so even though it was over due by hours. I waited 20 minutes, I had movers scheduled to come to my house, so I rented a 10 foot truck, the only thing they had to offer me. The smaller truck meant multiple trips, so I had to suddenly rent a storage unit in my neighborhood to avoid the extra mileage charges and logistical problems this caused. And surprise! there is NO LIFT TAILGATE OR RAMP on a 10 foot truck, so I was unable to wheel the items out on a dolly as planned, so the movers had to be paid to stay to do that job. A very frustrating and disappointing experience w U Haul over all.Laurie B.

I rented a 10' truck that had a metal rod in it. I assumed it was in there for a reason despite the fact that it was an annoyance rolling around making noise. I left it in the truck the entire time and dropped it back off that way. I was charged a cleaning fee for the metal rod that was in my way and had nothing to do with me. This is a scam.James A.

The PEOPLE were friendly, but took 10 minutes to check in even with pre-registration online. Parking lot in bad shape - huge pot hole at the entrance that could pop a tire. Uhaul did not have a 20' truck for me, even though I had made a reservation about 6 mos. ago. GAS CAP was half GONE, so no way to open and fill tank! ...so I will NOT pay extra charge for gas.gretchen C.
Pickup location was great, but that was not where we had asked to pick up AND it was two hours later than we had requested. We drove over 4 hours to help someone move and got there to discover we had no confirmed access to a truck when we tried to pick up at the requested location and time. Major fail U-Haul. Very easy process and the woman who assisted with my uHaul rental was very friendly and funny. Had a great experience! The only complaint is with the uHaul App which can be finicky about checking in a vehicle but no complaints about the location or service on-site at all!FAIRLEY N.
I chose the 24/7 pick-up/return option. The app was absolutely awful. Took me over an hour to pick up my truck because of location issues and alternate contact not picking up. Was chatting with a representative and didn't get an answer for 20 minutes. Only reason I was able to get the truck was because the owner of the location just happened to show up to pick up keys around 5:30pm. He was awesome and helped me get on my way in about 5 minutes. When I returned the vehicle the photos wouldn't upload in the app so I had to redo everything in the website. Overall the location was great but the U-Haul 24/7 service (company offering, not specific to this location) was just awful. My advice is to just pick up the trucks during regular business hours and work with a rep.Josh V.
Equipment I had requested in advance was not loaded on truck. All the guy on the phone could tell me was "sometimes we don't get down there to load the equipment." The right mirror was also shattered, and I was told that he forgot to fix it. The guy on the phone didn't take my concerns seriously, laughing the whole time. Verify that trucks don't have damage, are clean, etc between users. My truck right side mirror was broken out and non-usable. When I tried to upload pics to report it, the App was not working. This location only offered mobile check in. The mobile check in process was very difficult. I waited 45 minutes on the phone trying to reach customer service. Another customer was having the same issues, while another one finally gave up and left. When I returned the van, I didn't realize that my car keys had fallen out of my pocket in the seat of the van. Unfortunately I had locked the van and dropped the keys in the drop box. After waiting on the phone to customer service again, I was told that one Manager was on vacation and the other didn't have a personal phone number on file, which meant I would have to wait until Monday morning. I spoke with a customer service rep and a Supervisor with no luck. If I had called a locksmith or the police to help unlock it, they would need authorization from Uhaul, but since it took 30-45 minutes on hold each time to reach a representative, this probably wouldn't have worked. Overall, very poor customer service and willingness to help.Hugh W.

The equipment was mostly clean; however, there was some trash in the cupholder. The floor was a little muddy, but it is a moving truck. The location had poor signal so I had a hard time using the phone check in. However, the nice worker helped me out! Then, when I dropped it off, the phone application was working great! I loved how I was reemburst for the mileage and time that I did not use the truck. I thought it was easy to use and maneuver. Overall, great experience.Julia M.

The appliance dolly that we rented was not with the truck and nowhere to be found. Considering we needed it to move a safe it was needed. We called uhaul and waited 20 to 25 minutes to talk to someone who had us go to an entirely different location to get a dolly but luckily one was available somewhere elseDan B.
The App was frustrating to use because I had to keep walking away from the wifi spot to take pictures of the returned vehicle and when I would lose connection the process would start from the beginning. TERRIBLE. didn't even take real pictures of the equipment so i know for a fact it wasn't checked before we picked it up. then we got home with it and put some weight into the trailer and realized it had a flat. surprise surprise. then took about 3 hours to get ahold of someone to come bring us a new tire. and to top it all off. it rained on our trip and the uhaul leaked onto BOTH of our couches ruining them and the water soiled our moving boxes with a glass bar set in it. so the box ripped out of the bottom.spencer A.
