The folks that run the location thought we left our garage opener in the truck and texted us to let us know, even offered to set aside so we could pick it up after hours. It was not ours but, I thought that was very kind of them.

Richard G.Owner was incredibly rude at check-in. He had a terrible attitude and was mouthy, all because of N incident he was having that had nothing to do with me or my rental. He also threatened to report the truck as stolen when it wasn't returned by the time of the original contract, after he had already charged for the extra days. How is this guy still in business?

ANDREW E.I scheduled for a return in Bluffton South Carolina. During my drive I got an innocuous text apparently attempting to shift my drop off to Hardeeville South Carolina. The text was non-specific end it came while I was driving, at a time which I should not have been paying attention to texts. Upon arriving at Bluffton, I was refused the drop off, being told that U-Haul was shifting trailers to different locations. This refusal caused me to have to backtrack 13 miles to drop off the trailer at Hardeeville, at a place that was closing in 30 minutes. After scrambling back to Hardeeville, I was able to just barely drop off the trailer before the worker had to leave for the day. I was incensed at having been refused to drop off at my contracted location, and having The additional aggravation and expense of backtracking and then driving yet again over the same roads to go to my final destination. This was Customer Service at its worst and I will try to avoid using U-Haul for any purpose in the future.
Ernest C.Horrible experience at the 11 Oliver Court, Bluffetin, SC location. They refused to accept the trailer , because they had too many trailers and didn't want to inconvenience rental unit tenants. Made me take the trailer to Hardieville. 20 miles away. When I arrived at the facility it was locked and their were no employees to be found. I finally reached a human on the phone who told me to just drop the trailer and it would be logged in later. Absolutely the worst customer service ever!!!!

The morning of pick up I let it go figuring it's the morning and I showed up right at opening time no big deal. But at drop off he rushed me to the point of getting in my truck and parking the trailer while yelling at me that he has “done this sh*t for 50 yearsâ€. His attitude with this whole process was ridiculous and I will never return to this location. I was very polite and brought the trailer back 12 hours before it was due there was no reason for him to be so rude and rush us the way he did.

Susan G.Stopped to drop off trailer was closed at 11:30 in the morning call U-Haul they sent me to a second location they did not except trailers only truck rentals the lady there called U-Haul they had me take the trailer to a third location and drop it off and now I'm getting a bill for a Extra day rental after spending three hours trying to drop off the trailer
Robert S.The guy charged us a fraudulent fee not on Uhaul side. I'm wondering how he had access to my credit card. We got the truck filthy so we cleaned it out. I went in and cleaned the cabin which included the dashboard, cup holders, seats and steering wheel. Plus brushed out the cabin and sweep out the back before returning the truck

Justin D.Uhaul website indicated that a trailer could be rented in Bluffton, SC. After speaking with a representative, I found out that the information was false from the beginning. Uhaul trailer rental has to either come from Hardeeville, SC or Beaufort, SC. Just speak the truth up front and not lie.
Robert G.I checked with who I believe may have been the owner when I reserved the trailer in Greensboro to make sure that the Hardeeville location was a drop-off location. He said it was. When I was looking for the exact location I called and it was closed but the man who answered the phone was a jerk asking what kind of trailer it was. He almost didn't want to accept the drop-off. He hung up on me.
lance S.The proprietor forced me to take the $10 collision damage waiver. Even though I had opted out of it and have a credit card that covers that. He had a bad attitude overall. He is very unfriendly. I'm kind of surprised that somebody like that is even in a customer facing job. If I didn't need to get the truck to get a job done I would've told him to shove it. He was just an unpleasant person. In the big scheme I could not care less about $10. It is just the fact that he forced me to accept that waiver knowing that he had me over a barrel. Very shady. In case you're reading this, whatever your name is, I called U-Haul and they refunded me the money. I hope they take it out of your pocket.

Robert G.Have used the Hilton Head Island location in the past since it was closer to my home, however had to travel 45 minutes to the Hardeeville location since didn't have a 6'x9' utility trailer. Plus return it back to the same location which added extra time and gas!

Leonard T.The guy we picked up from was extremely rude. No people skills at all. He looked at my boyfriend and I like we shouldn't even be in the store. He tried to bully me into getting insurance and then tried to scare me because I opted out. Telling me nobody has ever explained it correctly and that if there was any damage to the truck he was going to charge my card and if there wasn't enough money in my account he would wipe it clean and get my bank account closed like he just felt I didn't have the money. I'd already spoken to my insurance company and I knew I was covered. I guess at that point he was pissed and tried to move fast when I was signing paperwork and everything. I asked could I take a picture and instead of saying, “ma'am you get copies†he just firmly said no several times and then mentions I get copies. I would never rent from this place again. To top it off I have bad asthma and the store smelled like pure cigarettes. If he's not a people person, get a new job but don't try and bark at people that come in. If nobody rents you don't have a job. I'm in sales and make great money so I get it. So no sir you're not going to, “close my bank account†because the rental regardless of my experience with him turned out great.
