Store hours should not be listed at 8:00 am and then the one person on duty not be able to help until someone else shows up at 9:00. I called U-haul and tried to check myself in. After a 15-20 minute wait, the person I was speaking with needed to transfer me, and (accidentally I'm sure) cut me off. I tried calling back but after waiting some time I saw 2 more employees show up. It was jsut before 9:00 at this point. The lady who checked me out was nice enough but forgot to include my utility dolly. I forgot it as well. My wife returned later and was given an appliance dolly instead of a utility dolly. I have used U-haul for many moves, but if I had a choice I would never use this location again.David S.

Clean not like I would have thought. I had turned same truck in week earlier. Knowing I was picking back up a week later left plastic clothes hanger on floorboard. There week later. Staff is great. Pull their franchise. Never anyone there to help hook up trailer. Had to pay some kid to help me lift the tongue to hook up. I have dropped off before there too and have to disconnect with a prybar since there is never any help. Checked my own lights too. They should not rent to anyone!GARY Y.
Truck was extremely dirty. The worst being the pungent odor of wet dogs. My granddaughter was with me to help but couldn't ride in truck until a friend cleaned seats for me. There was dirt not dust but dirt in the cup holders bbs in the side door pockets. Tommy was a wonderful help with getting the rental done. He was working alone and the store and gas pumps remained open. He has my highest praise for the way he managed it all. The truck performance was good. I have rented again for a week beginning the 25 all because of how great Tommy's service wasDorothy V.

Check in and check out was very slow and not very friendly. Clerks were rude. Stopped waiting on us and went to wait on others when we were there first. The return check out was awful. Took 45 minutes! Customer service needs lots of work. They don't smile at this location.bob S.
I still rent from here because it's close but EVERY SINGLE TIME ITS A DISAPPOINTING letdown. A lot of drama, the cashiers of Circle K shouldn't be operating a register nor ATTEMPTING customer service. The lady who was supposed to be doing uhaul was allowing dram and personal tensions between herself and the other coworker to negatively effect her work performance and customer service... lied to me and said she couldn't do a uhaul rental because she was alone. While I OBSERVED a cashier in circle K uniform AT THE FRONT DOOR SMOKING A VERY IMPORTANT CIGARETTE.... so after me questioning multiple times, trying to be accommodating and understanding I FUNALLY got service after an EXTENDED period of time that i stood there for while being as respectful and quiet as possible. There are NUMEROUS reviews from me from this location... nobody from uhaul has reached out, nor have my inconveniences been accommodated for. No worry about a CONCERNED AND LOYAL CUSTOMER trying to give ACTUAL INFORMATION, REVIEWS AND ADVICE (allegedly the purpose of thes customer reviews 藍) This location and management is very poor and negatively representing UHAUL. I have had 4 other rentals the last couple months and I chose to bring my money elsewhere.... but in good faith I tried to rent a tow dolly again with much aggravation, ignorant attitude, drama and inconvenience. Your company could be far more profitable than you already are.... IF YOUD ACTUALLY LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS.Shawn L.

This was my first time renting a trailer. They made it very easy and were very informative.DONALD L.
It was 3:45, I had my reservation, the lady was helping an upset customer, she they were closing and her current customer was her last. Since the address for my reservation showed an empty building, I left to find another location. Looking at my reservation, I couldn't find an phone number to call. I went back in and she was helping another upset customer. Now I am not leaving til I get my trailer. She complained about customers, her job, her employees, Uhaul, and life in general. Very unprofessional! I pushed through and got my rental and left. Returning the rental went smoothly because I had my end result in mind. I won't be back there. This is my second bad uhaul experience in 2 months.KENNETH H.

I reserved a pickup truck for 7 days. When I arrived the truck was not there. They switch me to a 10 foot box truck. I returned it aftet 4 days and I was charged for 5 days.Robert C.
The staff that run the circle K counter were very unprofessional and ghetto. Had non employees behind the counter being flirty and loud/ignorant. When equipment was dropped off nothing was checked, made me wait for a while then when they were ready just ask the unit number and said "ok you good". The initial woman who rented the tow dolly out was decent and respectful, did her job..... but the other surrounding circle k employees made it uncomfortable and offputting. Didnt know if my return would be processed or documented that no damages occurred so the billing had me concerned. This is a circle k and not a uhaul location and the store staff are not representing Uhaul well. They did admit "aw naw, we isn't trained for uhaul, yous gonna have to wait for someones else" the loud male that didnt work there, but behind the counter that was fraternizing with the females working there had his jacket on the chair supplied at the uhaul side counter which I happened to be sitting on and had me hand his jacket back over the counter where he didnt belong and was disrupting everyone from thier job. The tow dolly was in excellent shape, almost new so there wasnt an issue there. The staff are doing a poor job operating circle K but also making Uhaul look bad. I need to rent a tow dolly again in a few days because I didn't even get to use the one I rented on behalf of my own scheduling but I will probably go to another location or a different business entirely despite the fact this Uhaul location is very close to my house.Shawn Lee G.

The young man that took possession of the car dolly at the marathon store was very professional when I spoke to him about the busted piece he walked out documented took pictures thanked me and put it in an area that it would not be re-rented until it was repaired he shook my hands and thank you again and told me to have a great dayEDWARD C.

Worst u-haul experience of my life. The first trailer we hooked up to the door wouldn't shut! On top of it there was a needle from a junkie inside the trailer. Then we get another trailer. We open it up and there is still personal items from the last person. Then when we get to our location we open the door, and the door came off the hinges. I will never rent from that location ever again. They absolutely do not check the equipment when it comes in, as well as check upon leaving!Eric F.

The trailer I rented was dirty with garbage in it. It was parked in the lot where I had to backup over the curb to hook up the trailer. This is a first Thea the representative did not come out to inspect or help hook up the trailer upon picking it up or dropping it off. That's the first time at any uhaul dealer that has happened. I won't ever go there or recommend that place ever.glen K.

equipment was clean, but driver side break/turn signal was out. In addition, my last rental didn't have the extension trailer light cord in the store. Clerk was nice enough to drive down the street to another Uhaul rental location to get one. Obviously that got me a bit behind schedule. I had to get a larger uhaul which costed more money because that was all that was available. I feel like it was too expensive overall. I put $40 in gas when I returned the uhaul and I was still charged an additional $48 in gas. I would never rent a uhaul again.CHAREL J.

You could educate these people on the proper procedure to rent a Uhaul. I did everything possible on line to make this rental fast at the counter. I was still in this store for over 40 mins. It was almost as bad when I returned the rental! I've rented from Uhaul several times and each time I do I say it will be the last time because of the bad experiences. Unfortunately my choices are so limited Im forced to use Uhaul more often then not. Educate your renters please.JASON M.

I was so disappointed to discover that you haul makes no effort to assist a customer and trailer hookup. I had open heart surgery in January and suffered a stroke since then. This location has no mail staff available. They sent a young girl with me to pick up a 6x12 trailer. She could barely lift the tongue off the grass. I had to help her and pulled my back in the process. When we finally together got the trailer attached to my truck she turned around and left and I had to figure out the chains and the hydraulic brake safety connection. Fortunately we own a camper and have traveled over 50 000 miles with it and I'm not ignorant of trailer towing. It was the physical strain on both her and myself that was uncalled for. When I return the trailer in comer Georgia on monday, I encountered the same problem the gentleman who ran the U-Haul terminal could hardly operate his cell phone and refuse to touch the trailer. He had a younger lady working for him but they had broken both of their tongue jacks. Fortunately my son was nearby he repaired one of their jacks and then unhooked the trailer. I will think long and hard before renting another U-Haul trailer. I've had a number of friends complain about the same lack of service. Service is mainly why we choose where we shop. I have always had respect for you all but I've had to change my mind at the present.Richard B.
I was originally supposed to return trailer to Avon Mini Mart. They would not accept trailer saying they had no room for it. I ended up at Hart Marathon. She was more than helpful in getting location transfered.Randall W.

I reserved it from LaBelle location the day before. It took an hour and a half to get the auto transport September 9. Hanna tried her best, but had not idea what to do. We took it back the same day and it again took an hour to return it. There were double charges on the bill and it took awhile to verify that it was incorrect. Accessibility to equipment was terrible. I have rented 2 trailers in Gulfport Ms They hooked it up and made sure everything worked. The gas station dropoff point at 3 Hwy.27 in Avon Park is a joke. I hurt my back because I simply could not find an employee just to help with toungue weight. I am 62 years old and have had several lower back problems. In 2 days I am renting a car hauler for my Chevy Sonic. I hope things go better then!GARY Y.

When a customer reserves a truck/trailer it should be taken off the "available" list to rent. I had a truck & trailer reserved but when I went to pick them up, the truck was rented out to somebody else...this was NOT the fault of people at Hart Marathon.PATRICK S.
I found the online service a bit unfavorable. It appeared to me that U-Haul was more interested in advertising on their web-site than assisting those using their service. I didn't think the web service was very user friendly. I finally got assistance through their chat service.Dale D.
Make sure when installing a transport that it is attached properly because when loading the transport it popped up off the ball hitch because it was not properly tightened down. This caused damage to our personal vehicle but the transport was not harmed. Also when viewing the reservation and how far someone has to go consider the vehicle you put them in. Ours did NOT have cruise control for an over 1200 mile trip. My leg is still killing me!Melanie B.

She couldn't access UHaul on her computer, so she had to check me in on her phone. Took FOREVER. Didn't know how to read the gas gauge. Had to read it for her. Stood outside for 15 minutes in the 90 degree plus heat why she tried to put the info into her phone, She never checked the back to make sure it was clean (it was) or to make sure the dolly was in the back (it was). Followed her back in, and then she had to go back out to get the mileage! She had to stop assisting me several times to help the other cashier at the gas station with Lottery tickets. And THEN, when she finally got it all in (couldn't print a receipt for me to sign btw), she asked me to go move it for her! Of course, at this point, if something happened, I am liable because I have already checked the vehicle in.Debra W.

My most recent experience with U-Haul ended yesterday afternoon. Needing to move a few personal items from VA to FL for a family member, I attempted to rent a 5 x 8 trailer in Fredericksburg, VA. I was told that none were available anywhere in the area without a substantial drive to pick one up. Specifically, I would have to drive through Fredericksburg, through the City of Richmond, to a rural town called Bumpas, VA many long and congested miles away off to find the mythical 5 x 8 trailer I was seeking. Eventually, after several days of checking around on my own, I found a place ( a small, one man shop in White Stone, VA) who "thought" he would have one of the elusive 5 x 8 trailers on the morning I needed it. When I arrived early on Friday morning to pick up the trailer, I found that only two 6 x 12 trailers had been tuned in....no 5 x 8 trailers. Apparently these little trailers are becoming endangered, if not nearly extinct. In desperation, I took a 6 x 12 to the tune of well over $1400 for the trip from Southern VA to Central FL. This was around three times the quoted price for the rarely seen 5 x 8 trailer. Needless to say, the 6 x 12 was only around 1/3 full so it rattled and bounced all the way down I-95, sounding a lot like a bunch of marbles in a large coffee can for 14 hours. And, absent any decent weight, it bounced, swayed, leaped and tried to fishtail its way down the highway at anything approaching a decent Interstate highway speed. When executing the contract, we did not specify a drop off location as I was unsure of the final address of the items I was moving. I agreed to contact the closest U-Haul dealer to my final location to arrange for a drop off. Today, after unloading, I drove to the closest U-Haul to my destination in the Avon Park/Sebring FL area only to be told that they only did trucks...no trailers allowed. I went to the next closest U-Haul dealer, Hart Marathon Station at 3 Main Street in Avon Park. They were a "full service dealer" but refused to take the trailer unless U-Haul authorized them to take it via a text message to me. After a fun-filled 45 minutes on the phone waiting and chatting with the U-Haul representative from Ft. Lauderdale, who (while a very pleasant lady) could not help me with a problem in the Avon Park/Sebring area, I was connected to the appropriate operator who eventually sent the valuable text message authorizing a U-Haul dealer to actually accept one of their U Haul trailers. Praise the Lord, I was making progress now. I thought, after several hours of frustration, driving around Central Florida in torrential downpours trying to get rid of a U Haul trailer, that my troubles were over. But, as a Grand Finale to this comedic opera, I was told by the Marathon/U-Haul staff (a young lady ironically named Carmen) that locating the trailer in their lot and unhooking it was MY responsibility since they only had "girls working there". Now I consider myself a gentleman and quite capable....being a retired Marine Corps Officer from the Vietnam Era and a retired Firefighter and Paramedic from a large urban fire department. Unfortunately, I am also 75 years old and, thanks to my years of service, have arthritis, torn rotator cuffs, bad knees and a cardiac pacemaker. We were also in the midst of experiencing the first of the bad storms ahead of Hurricane Elsa, which was to be arriving shortly. Long story short.....In a driving thunderstorm I managed, after almost 45 minutes, to get the trailer situated and unhooked without the assistance of any of "the girls" who were happily selling lottery tickets chatting with customers and each other and sipping soft drinks during my ordeal. At the risk of being accused of being overly critical, I find that my latest adventure with U Haul has left a really bad taste in my mouth. Rest assured that, if I need a rental truck in the future, a trip to Penske will be in order. And, should I need a trailer on a temporary basis, I will buy one before I rent another one from UHaul. Given the ridiculous cost, the horrific hassle and the terrible customer service I received from U-Haul, I would be better off to invest in a modest, well built covered trailer and make it available to all of my friends and relatives free of charge if they ever think of doing battle with U Haul in the future. At least my trailer would be equipped with a first rate tongue crank and wheel assembly along with appropriate cribbing material and wheel chocks to assist with hooking up and unhooking... something U Haul obviously doesn't believe is necessary if their customers have to heft close to a 200 pound tongue weight trailer without any assistance. Thanks for the experience U Haul...you turned a routine and boring trip into an expensive, noisy, aggravating, wet and painful Fourth of July Weekend.RICHARD H.

The trailer assigned to us was literally underneath another trailer. We had to move 3 trailers to get to the one assigned to us. NONE of the employees helped us locate the trailer, move the trailers, or hook up the trailer. When asked for help the response was "do it yourself". Had we not needed the trailer in a time sensitive manner we would have left and rented from a different company.Diana F.

This area has very poor cellular service so trying to check in with my mobile device was a hassle and took almost 45 minutes even after arriving early. Provide wide so customer can check in faster so they aren't wasting their reservation time that UHaul doesn't seem to give back even after you see we get the keys late.Latefa C.

The teller was very rude and disrespectful and almost got her feelings hurt. I really needed this item right away because the place I needed to be was closing at a certain time and she skipped me and instead she assisted her friend I'm assuming the young gentleman was to her which I felt was bad customer service since she never apologized especially after the manager mentioned to her that I was awaiting first in line but she just carried on and when it was time to service me, she then used the words get over her as instead of â€œ my apologies sir how can I help you?â€ I enjoy utilizing these convenient equipment when available but if she's there, I will take my business elsewhere because I ended up having to bring the trailer back since the place where my motorcycle was closed by the time I got there which was maybe 35 min away. To describehow she looked, she was a Latina short obese woman short and sloppy looking with a soft but squeaky aggravating voice at the BP store in Avon Park off of hwy 27JOHNNY N.

The staff was great however the truck was filthy inside. Food crumbs on the dash and seats, food wrappers under the seats candy in floor plastic cup behind seat bottle of wine under seat etc. I cleaned it up as I rented it for a week. U haul is going down hill. SadMatthew S.
The truck was dirty, had my grand baby inside. We got sick because there were bed bugs and ROACHES INSIDE. Absolutely gross, radio barely worked. It felt like the transmission was slipping.
