The shack that their office was located in was dirty with cob webs and clutter everywhere with 1 chair for customers to sit in with an air conditioner that had black mold growing in it. The man who was running it was short on answering questions and could care less if I came in under the guesstimated mile where I felt I should of had a refund for miles NOT used. There again I wouldn't recommend uhaul to my dog for a rental truck.

NOTE: IF YOU USE CASH OR A PREPAID-TYPE CARD (like Cash App, PayPal, Regions Now, or any of the preloaded cards) they WILL CHARGE YOU A $48 FEE!! Use a DEBIT CARD ONLY attached to a bank account. The owner didn't tell us this until we had already inserted the card. Luckily, it didn't go through since his PC froze. so instead of using Cash App, we put the money back in the bank account so we wouldn't be charged extra!! Originally rented the 10' truck, but all they had at the time was a 20', which we're grateful for considering we couldn't have hauled everything in the smaller one. We thought we could fit everything in the smaller one, but we quickly discovered it wouldn't have happened. Truck was clean and easy to drive. It was a slightly newer truck, only had 21k miles on it, good AC, but I didn't run it often considering it affects the MPG. It wanted to idle a tad high and acted like it struggled a bit when I first got going, but then I realized about a minute in that it was automatically on the tow/haul mode on startup. Keep this in mind. Turned that off and it was good until we loaded up. Turned on tow/haul and did just fine. Stay a little below the speed limit and be easy on the accelerator and you'll get decent mileage. Overall a pretty good experience!

I originally reserved to pickup in McKenzie. Immediately after my reservation, I got a call from a lady saying that my location was moved to Huntingdon and that they would give me a lower fuel rate, I indeed did not get a lower rate. Pretty disappointed in that, as I had to drive 20 minutes to get the U-Haul rather than 5 minutes down the road.

The attendant seems to have alot if social anxiety and potentially a lack if awareness how their words actions cone across. I meet with the attendant earlier in the week and picked up on these potentially poor soft skills and this morning chose to use the mobile app. Which seemed to frustrate this individual as he went so far to say he hadn't done a transaction OK that manner. It was an extremely uncomfortable situation both in how the transaction was reprocessed. I left with the intent to keep the truck for 12 hours but the attendant seemed irrigated and told me I was lucky cause he had someone wanting it tomorrow morning. Horrible customer experience unnerving.

My original pickup point didn't have the truck! The two people there had a very loud and obnoxious discussion about why the truck wasn't there, very unprofessional! A reservation was made 3-4 days prior to needing the truck and it wasn't there. I ended up having to drive an extra 40 miles round trip. That site was well run. I still ended up paying for the extra miles at $1/ mile.

The customer service at hometown storage (036357) is top notch amazing. Super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this location to anyone.

Everything was good with my experience at this location. My only complaint is the 20 dollar fee for returning the truck after hours. Read the fine print on your contact.

You really need to get your uhaul app to work. I prefer dealing with someone behind a counter. I will not rent again if I can't have someone behind the counter.

Air conditioner did not work in the truck (ninety-four degrees in Texas), bearings went out on the left forward axel of trailer, wheel locked up, trailer caught on fire, no fire extinguisher in the truck, had to call 911. Sat on the side of the road for 7 hours waiting on roadside service. Waited on crew to transfer furniture to new trailer for 3 hours. Spent nine hours total waiting on assistance from U-Haul. Lights on the new trailer didn't work, so I had to pull off the road and repair the trailer lights with my pocket knife. Was told I had an additional day to return the truck and trailer upon completion of the trip. When I returned the truck and trailer, I called and asked to return to a closer location. Was given authorization to return the truck to closer location and received a text message verifying authorization. When I turned the truck and trailer in U-Haul informed me I was turning in the truck a day late, at the wrong location and would be charged an additional fee. Showed the text giving me authorization from U-Haul to turn the truck in a day late at a closer location and was told they would "take care of it." Later I received and email stating there would be "NO CHARGE" for the truck or the trailer. Well...I received my VISA bill last week and was charged the full price for both the truck and the trailer. I have all the text and emails from U-Haul to verify.

Am not upset with this location. If I had known it would cost more to use the small truck for one day than it did the largest truck you offer for two I never would have rented it. I won't be renting a uhaul again over this.

I was charged for moving blankets that weren't available at the pic up location. I attempted to show the individual where I had already been refunded the charge by UHaul and he said "I don't care about your emails". He was dismissive and charged me again for the blankets that I didn't get. I sat on hold with UHaul for 47 minutes to get it removed the first time. Guess I will now have to waist another 45 minutes to get it removed again.

The truck was very old and beat up. The man told me it was a 2015 model. It had many dents and scrapes and we didn't know until we drove it, but the transmission is going out and it wouldn't drive over 45 miles per hour!!! Very disappointed with U-haul!!!

Have a local number posted for customers to call in case they are having difficulty figuring out the new process. Make the key pick-up easier. Tell customers beforehand that when they arrive to pick up the key, they will be required to give a reference that can & will answer the phone.

It was after 7pm when we dropped off the truck, dark and raining. I was checking it in via the app and the guy who I guess runs the place comes up to the side of the cab and asks me what I'm doing. Scared the crap out of me! Wasn't expecting anyone other than myself and husband there. Told him I was turning in the truck and he asked if I was using the app (no, I just take pictures of the dash and interior for the heck of it) and when I confirmed I was doing so he stated "good, that will save you $20!". Yes, I know. That's why I'm checking it in myself!
