THOMAS HThe owners, Rick and Karen, were professional, friendly and a pleasure to work with. I spoke with Rick regarding renting a truck and he answered all of my questions. When I finally had a moving date I booked the truck rental over the phone with Karen. She made it so easy. Upon arrival to pick up the truck, Rick had the truck ready for me. He walked me thru all the necessary details involving the contract, drop-off and everything I needed to know about the truck, driving the truck and who to call if I needed roadside assistance. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking any or all of your U-Haul needs with Hudson Motors & Garage in Solon, IA. Thank you Rick and Karen!

Amy SUHaul needs to improve overall logistics. I booked a 5x8 trailer 2 weeks in advance. Upon arrival at the Cedar Rapids location, they said they didn't have one. They should have figured this out before I arrived and informed me that the pickup location would be different so that I could adjust my plans. In addition, my pickup location was a half hour from the Cedar Rapids location (1 hour roundtrip). It seems like UHaul could do a better job of holding a trailer at a nearby location for a scheduled rental.

Gerry KHudson Motors & Garage was very helpful. I was not assigned a return location for my trailer and 800 GO UHAUL was not able to help. Hudson Motors was willing to take the trailer. I spent a long time on hold trying to reach UHAUL to get it worked out, but finally gave up and called Hudson Motors directly. Hudson Motors was good to work with, but the online system and phone calls to 800 GO UHAUL were very frustrating.

Bill GRich is the best to rent from...when we moved from Solon to Iowa City 5 yrs. Ago...we used Rich...his service and personality was so great that we needed a uhaul to move some personal items from our house to storage just recently that we used his services again even though we had to drive 10 miles out of our way...highly reccomend him!! You wont regret it!!!

Osama AThe only thing I wasn't happy about was getting charged for having to drive 20 miles each way because none were available closer to me. It isn't my fault that you guys ran out of trucks in Iowa City, you should have realized by now how this market is and deployed accordingly. In the future in these situations, I would recommend you split the difference with the customer. My rental cost me $39,95 and my mileage which was 53 miles cost me $41.87. When I asked before the rental what the rep could do since I had the drive there to get the truck myself (keep in mind I booked this almost 2 weeks ago) she said she could reduce the mileage cost from $.89 to $.79. I mean really unless I am relocating from one town to another, should the customer bear all the cost associated with your companie's poorly planned logistics?

Nicole RAbsolutely immaculate customer service. Were kind, courteous, understanding and INCREDIBLY kind after. I was being scatter brained and left my lock on the trailer after drop-off. Worked with me on a tight schedule for the definition of a last minute professional relocation. Will no longer be using any other UHaul sites, corporate or neighborhood, in Eastern Iowa. I hope corporate recognizes and rewards the unparalleled customer service and effort that a neighborhood location like the Solon UHaul bring.
