Ethan MBald tire on the auto transporter. I arrange my reservation two months in advance and checked in frequently two days before my reservation and I have not heard from U-Haul to confirm and they gave my truck to someone else. I confirmed the price three times in advance but when I got there, they charge me $110 more at the site, the guy didn't know what he was doing on the computer. He said the computer added the insurance on its own and he couldn't take it off so I had to pay for it. He made so many mistakes and had to charge my credit card and then credit it and then charge it and then credit it I had to call my credit card company right then to see , if the credits actually went on but they were unable to tell me said it could take 10 days to two weeks before it would show up. I asked for help loading my car on the auto transporter, but the pick up place said they couldn't help me with that , I found damage on the truck and when I went back in to report it there was no one there to report it to so I had to call reservations and send them pictures when I showed up to pick up the truck and the auto transport they didn't have the furniture, dolly, or the other dolly But didn't bother calling me in ahead and it was end of day so I had to scramble to find some thing at the last minute even though they confirmed they had it the day before when I called them. Uhaul says the truck gets 10 miles to a gallon but it only got 6,6 gallons. It cost me $300 for gas to get to my destination , The whole experience was a big nightmare at the last minute when you don't have time, even though I did everything in advance. I used U-Haul many times throughout my life but it keeps getting more and more self serve and this experience was a complete nightmare and a very expensive nightmare charging me an extra $110 at the last minute for insurance I didn't want and refusing to take it off. It took an hour and 15 minutes to pay and check out not even including the time I put into inspecting the vehicle and reporting it if I had three thumbs they would all be down.
Maureen TNobody was around at pickup time and trailer was frozen down to ground. Had no idea what to do. Managed to pry up out of ice. Since trailer was paid for, I hooked up and left.

Jaydn AEverything was fine until we were told we had to wait for a paper check for our deposit back. Still havent gotten it, called and was told we already got it, then were told we were not getting it because we returned late. We didnt then were told they couldnt talk to me because my name isnt on the contract it is in my name. Called the local dealer and have not gotten any help. Returned uhaul on july 22nd and it is is now August 8th and still no help.

Marcus NEquipment wasn't checked for delivering. Electrical system in truck was broken so that car transport tail lights didn't work This delayed & disrupted all aspects of our trip & put driver in jeopardy This caused significant costs to us in changing hotel, car rental & plane fares.

Matthew OThe people here were helpful and understanding. They were flexible with me and got back to me ASAP. They did charge me for extra miles however that's not their fault. I made the reservation for Rochester to Menomonie. The drop off location was Boyceville which is about 14 miles from Menomonie. So in trying to find the location and leaving Menomonie to get to bocyeville I did go over mileage. Maybe if uhaul would have factored in they made my drop off a different city that would not have happened. But that is not the fault of this location. The Boyceville location was amazing as all the contact info they gave me was correct and they were nice and accommodating. They are the shining star in the uhaul world.
Lindsay SMake sure that vehicle is clean and gas gauge is verified by the rental site and the customer. Explain the round trip drop-off and the one-way clearly. I thought all were day by day. I paid for 4 days and had the truck for one (1) day. $280,64 certainly not explained earlier. Suppose to pick-up truck in Hudson, WI. (not available) 12 miles away so went to a town 41 miles away to get truck. Will not use U-Haul in the future if needed, OH Yah did not get the military veteran discount I was told about, very poorly handled. Frank Stauber
Frank SDissatisfied with the one hour drive to pick up the truck. Was to pick up 15min from me. This was changed with only 2 day notice.
Richard MNo one was there. I also did not appreciate having to drive to Boyceville rather than being able to drop off the truck at a Uhaul location in Menomonie. This added an extra 20 minutes drive to the drop off point and I got charged an additional fee because of the extra mileage. I then had a 20 minute drive back to Menomonie. This inconvenienced me and another person who had to drive my car to the drop off point.
Nancy Mthe person was smoking in the building. Bars aren't even that smoke filled anymore. He had no personality and was no help.

Tiffany mThis was a great location to get a U-Haul from. The guy that owns the business is one of the only around that is open on a Sunday and I needed a last minute rental. He was helpful and great. If I need anything again, I'll go out of my way to see him.

Jeff GHave someone there who knows what they are doing and would put the phone down and be helpful. I was there for 2 hours just to pick up my trailer. The trailer fell off my truck while it was fully loaded due to the person not knowing how to attach the trailer to the ball of my truck. The worker seemed to be on some sort of drugs when I was there. The interior of the place was full of cigarette butts and was very dirty and messy.
tanner bI was not very happy with the rental vehicle in the fact that I needed a 20' truck and it was not available, so instead I was offered a 15' truck and a 4x6 trailer. The problem with it was the fact that the trailer is not user friendly at all, I am 5'8" and could not stand up in the trailer so it made it very difficult to load and unload the other part is that I am not a weak person and had a heck of a time lifting the trailer to hook it up. If there was a lift/jack or handles it may have been easier.
