Rep was nice, professional, and helpful at pickup location. Truck was in good condition and was mechanically sound. I have one complaint overall with UHaul. All vehicles should come with a FULL tank of gas. Period. The partial tank - just bring it back at the same level is bad for the renter. It's a set-up, really. Probably most renter bring it back with more gas than before. In my case, I get the 26' truck in Los Angeles. The gas gauge is between 1/2 and 1/4. The gas level is going down as I drive. OMG - I'll need to get gas soon. I'm looking for a gas station - it's LA. It's not easy to maneuver a 26' truck into a gas station. Luckily, I find one in Long Beach and no one is there. I pull in and block 4 pumps - because it's a small station and this truck is massive. I try to estimate the gas - I need to drive over 100 miles. I don't want to run out of gas… again this truck is huge, so I get $140 worth of gas â€" around 26 gallons. It's on 3/4 now. Better safe than sorry, right? I drive to my destination and the truck gets better gas mileage than I expected - this is good. However, I probably put in 10 extra gallons that I didn't need, about $53. And I'm upset about that. So upset that I spend my morning ranting about it to you. Everyone who rents from U-Haul is on a budget. If they had the money or someone else was paying for the move, they would hire movers. U-Haul â€" Just fill the tanks to F! Don't rent them partially full. I reckon that initially, U-Haul probably rented the trucks out full. Then some overextended renter returned it less than full and U-Haul charged them the for the missing gas, pocketed the money, didn't refill it and passed it on to the next renter. To set your customers up for success, renting trucks with a full tank of gas is the right thing to do. Other than the gas level issue, all went well.

You told me I can delay the return, and will chrge for delay. I delayed for 2 hours, and the location is closed, and I have no way to contact or return. And now you charged me for lost keys. thats so unfair and ridiculous.

The online experience was terrible. I originally scheduled pick up at another location only to find out that the location was closed and I could not pick up the truck using the online system. I had to change my reservation and drive to a new location after I wasn't able to get a hold of UHaul customer via telephone 2/2 incredibly long wait times.

The process was done quickly. Person was friendly not like the person on 6th street who is rude and talks badly about customers. I would rather drive a few miles more to come to this location than the other one.

First, uhaul stated that I could pick up the vehicle at 6am. However, it was not open until 9am. The employee was late which made my timeline stressful knowing I only had a limited time with the vehicle to travel in LA traffic south for 60 miles and be back before my time was up. The vehicle was dirty and was not clean before I took over. Furthermore, it was difficult to log in to the website or to get a hold of how to get a vehicle without assistance. Overall, I was able to get out quick, but it was worrisome when no one was available to talk to and the location was not clean at all.

i've had many experiences with your company both local and long distance. this was the smoothest. the truck hadn't been cleaned out inside so i was worried about when i brought it back if the prior mess would be held against me but it wasn't. by mess i mean a couple of half papers so it wasn't a "this is gross and unacceptable" situation, just a "don't blame me for not cleaning someone else's mess because that's where i draw the line." and that was respected. i also liked that you guys incorporated a gas refund if we put it back to where it was when we got it in light of the gas prices. and the amount offered was what it took to get it back to that level so it worked out perfect. the clerk was great. a very comfortable person to interact with. one thing i would say to people is to look for the uhual banner as that's the only giveaway to which door you shoulg go into to pick up your rental. i found it okay but after i got the truck in the lot across the street some other customers came to me while i was loading my gps to ask where they go to pick up.

This location is totally sketchy and unsafe for anyone to pick-up. The 15' truck that we rented had clearly been transporting marijuana, because the entire truck wreaked for the duration of our rental.
