We changed location as we were having lighting issues with trailer for 80 % of our trip . This trailer needs to be taken out of circulation compare to the trailer we rented in November of 2023. Neither pick up or drop off was the issue , it was the equipment issue .

JULIE SAs soon as I got on the road I noticed an "Oil Change Required" message on the odometer, which was a bit disconcerting. Then when I hit a small pocket of rain, the windshield wipers were so old and hard that they just cleared three thin lines, leaving the rest of the area they covered still totally wet. Finally, after getting to our destination, we discovered that one of the backup lights wasn't working. We were already upset because we'd reserved a 17-foot truck and an auto carrier approximately six weeks in advance to be picked up in Bangor, Maine. Two days prior to the pickup, we got a call telling us the truck and other equipment we had reserved could not be picked up in Bangor. The only auto carrier in the State of Maine was in Jackman (approx. 130 mile drive one way away), and we'd be given a bigger 20-foot truck, a $200 reduction in cost, and 100 extra miles. We were not happy to have to drive 5 hours round trip to get to Jackman on the day before we'd be driving a 13 hour trip to our final destination in New York, but felt we had no alternative, since we had been planning this move for months.
