It was in the middle of no where and I was forced to go 29 minutes out of my way to go to this run down looking building with no staff available because it's Saturday. Then I had to take all my pictures in the pouring rain because this location doesn't offer any accommodations for poor weather.

THOMAS MJoey's was GREAT! There was a problem with the booking and the cost was more than the quote. Joey saw that and was immediately on the phone with U-Haul to get it fixed. He wanted to make sure that it was right for us.

William BInitially I attempted to book at this location, but did not have the size of truck I needed. They suggested a location across town that did have the size I needed. The day before I needed said truck, was informed it had mechanical issues. Was suggested by UHaul Rep to get one of that size 20+ miles away(40 miles round trip)! I told the Rep that is unacceptable!!! I suggested to give me a bigger truck for price/rate of original reservation. The Rep said ok. The guys at Joey's were super polite and easy going, one the of main reasons why I wanted this location originally!!! After all that, easy going and job completed!!!
Brian Ewindshield was dirty and no washer fluid in system and I got charged $20 for not bringing it back in 2 hours , store was only open from 9 am to 12 noon I brought the truck back in the afternoon

Arch QThe truck died on us 7 times, which caused us to have to use the truck 2 days more than planned. My AAA allowed me to get it jumped but waiting on them to show was frustrating. U-Haul did comp the 2 days and only charged me for 24 hours so that was nice, but It took my entire weekend to move and I had to return to work Monday morning. It was upsetting that before we even took the truck the guy kept telling us "Turn the lights off or it will die" "make sure everything is off or it will die" I believe the truck was already giving them issues. My husband and I double checked after one another and it still died. The truck died while sitting at a stop light. AAA said that the battery needed to be replaced.

Kaleb HMy experience with uhual over the phone cost me $39,43 to drive it 10 miles and return it .they recommend a 15 foot box to haul a bobcat because the U-Haul truck wasn't big enough..after extensive conversation with all that needed to be done to haul the Bobcat ,I ended up getting rented a truck that has a ball welded on it n 2 locations and useless. .that was the 2nd question that was asked about??????can't haul anything with a 2 inch ball if the trailer requires 2 n5/16 ball......
Jerry BHow about actually having equipment that was reserved, bought and paid for in advance at the location? Yes, I received a $17 refund for the equipment, but there was a reason why I rented the equipment in advance; because I didn't have the equipment, it slowed the movers down which resulted in an extra $250 cost.

dennis hJoey's is my go to U-haul rental place! The staff is super helpful and easy to work with. My recent rental was dirty when I picked up and I shared this with the salesman when I returned the van. He was concerned and apologized - he was unaware that the person he used for cleaning up the van did not do his job.
Teresa MJoey's was a great location and very helpful and courteous. However after buying a hitch adapter, we discovered that three out of the four back lights were out.

Benissa HWhen you go in to complete your rental they need to tell you not to put the keys in the drop box until you take a picture of the odometer and fuel gauge. I didn't know to do that and I returned the vehicle after hours and locked the vehicle and dropped the keys in the drop box and then found out via a text that I needed to do those two things.
Nancy TA safe tow fee was added to my rental contract after I declined it while making the reservation. I questioned it before signing and it was removed. Why pit it in the reservation process and then override that? Annoying waste of time.

Don MFix your website. It's absolutely unacceptable to have it crash on one of the biggest moving weekends of the year. We ended up paying several people for moving assistance and couldn't get our scheduled truck on Saturday. I was on the phone with customer service for hours and made 4 trips to the site to pick up the truck to no avail. I couldn't pick up the truck until Sunday, when we had no help moving and had to move two days worth of furniture and boxes in one day by ourselves - after paying for the movers' help on Saturday (it wasn't their fault we couldn't get the truck from your company). This was beyond the pale for customer service!

Alysia DThe app was not working so I was unable to do an "online" pickup at 8:30AM. Fortunately, an employee happen to come by so he helped me get the truck manually but I'm afraid I wouldn't have been able to go if that didn't happen. Also, we only received 5 furniture pads instead of 6.

Scott HThe only problem was the moving service that Uhaul set me up with. Uhaul should no longer recommend the. They were a no call no show. We had to do most all the moving ourselves and caused us to be late returning the truck. That would not have happened, if we had the help that we paid for.

Daymon EI did not have any problems with the pick up location, the problem I had was with Uhaul and the online pick up, it did not work like it was suppost to so I was delated until the store was open. I do not recommend pick up online!
Jana CMy only complaint is not really with this location but with the way my reservation was handled. I was supposed to pick my truck at a different location and the truck really ended up at Joey's Warehouse Sales after I had to contact the UHaul customer service number. Up to 15 minutes before I had to pick up my truck I was unsure wether I was going to have the truck or not. Luckily, Joey's had ready very quickly.
Julian VMy original confirmed reservation 29659602 time and location for pick-up was Marathon 3527 Lansdowne Dr, Lexington, KY 40517 at 10:00 am Friday 7/16. Late Thursday 7/15 while I was driving from SC to Lexington I received a call from the Marathon location informing me that they did not have the equipment. They informed me that the equipment was in Frankfort, KY. I then had to drive to Frankfort to get the trailer that was confirmed for Lexington. "UNACCEPTABLE - SLACK - IRRESPONSIBLE". I then tried to use the after hours drop off in North Charleston at 4788 Dorchester Rd. The UHAUL app would not recognize my location at the facility. As I felt responsible for the equipment, I decided to pull the trailer back to my home city Spartanburg, SC. This was not an issue with my phone device. All other apps were working properly. I tried to reach someone via the UHAUL support customer service phone number and no one was available. The locations in Frankfort and Spartanburg were more than helpful. However, on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being the worst possible experience, I rate UHAUL at "1". As well, It was stated that there was a $50 compensation for UHAUL's failure to deliver the equipment based on the contract. I have not received the $50.
RICHARD HDropped off after hours. Perdon who booked my reservation was very misinformed. Very disappointing. Many calls to uhaul. Not the best experience.
DEAN RMaybe the agent should focus on one customer at a time. Regardless if she has several businesses where she was talking non stop to other employee in other location through her camera system or whatever it was, one shouldn't have to wait. It felt like I was in her house. Didn't even felt like I was at a office. Would never ever go there again.
Waqas AI paid for a dolly and they were supposed to have added some moving blankets and none of these items were in the truck. I also asked for a specific pickup and return location and they had be pick it up from a completely different city and return it to a completely different location that did not even indicate where the key drop off was.
