The truck I rented needs to be removed from lot. This truck is dangerous. I am certain at some point it had a front end collision. The steering wheel was very difficult to maintain straight, specially it was raining, it goes to the right. I was totally stressed and praying I didn't end up in an accident. If I wasn't pressed for time I would have returned it. I went to rent a 5x8 trailer but there wasn't any and ended up renting this truck. This truck with corresponding VIN needs to be removed from being rented.ISABEL S.

I requested a U-haul from a location closer to me but was told I had to drive quite a distance in order to pick it up. Then, my contract had a mileage available less than my trip distance. This was a significant issue with final cost that the customer representative at this location was able to assist me in sorting out. I was about to never return to u-haul after this trip. The instructions through the app are confusing. First it says find your truck and on the same page talks about the key box. I looked all over for the code before clicking next. When I clicked next, it had instructions to find the truck, THEN to unlock for the key. It was confusing and slightly out of prefer. Relook to make sure it makes sense.Isaac G.

My truck overheated 30mins after I picked it up, leaving me stranded for almost an hour while I was waiting for it to cool down enough to put coolant in it. The reservoir was bone dry and I never got reimbursed for all the coolant. All of this came after I had unsuccessfully tried to rent a U-Haul from several other neighboring locations. Most were closed during business hours, some didn't answer their phones or had signs on the door wanting you to do online reservations but the booking system wouldn't work for those locations. I ended up having to call the 800 number for help because I couldn't find a single place to rent me a truck in this area close to me. Thats how I ended up finding the place I used. The place was nice and the employees were great but having the truck break down immediately and then not having a working light in the back was incredibly inconvenient as my move was scheduled for nighttime and no replacement trucks were available. I had to move everything by myself, in the dark with a flash light.JENNIFER M.

The 26' truck I drove was brand new. Per my calculation, it used about 9 mpg of gas. Knowing the size of tank per truck would be nice in calculating how much gas to put into the tank afterwards. I had to put gas and check odometer, put gas and check odometer. Having a sticker with approximate amounts would be helpful to users. I know it depends on how people drive, but there are ways to average city and highway milesâ€¦. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the great equipment rental! I picked up before first light and parking lot lights were scarce so was unable to do a good walk around. Also received truck with low level gas light on. Lucky a gas station was close but maybe have at least a 1/4 tank.Barbara W.

I turned in my truck early and the dolly and cart before the time I asked and more gas in tank. I received a notification that I needed to check in my carts or be charged 20 convenience fee. Your company does not explain this prior to rental.Donna C.
It would be helpful if there was lighting available at the parking area for after hours turn-in. You can't get decent pictures of the trailer at night to add to the app for turn-in.Patrick N.
Your reservation system is a nightmare. The website provides in accurate information regarding equipment availability, and my reservations guaranteed a truck which was never available at that location. I had to change my reservation location and product, causing me to be an hour and a half late starting off on the project which had a domino effect for my entire schedule. When I Checked my email I found I had also been billed incorrectly and will dispute the invoice later today. This is the second time I've had a very bad experience renting from U-Haul and I do not intend to rent again.Linton E.

I recommend providing a vehicle with at least 1/4 tank of gasoline. The vehicle i picked up had less that 3/16 to where the fuel light came on as soon I left the UHAUL facility.Rama F.

Location easy to find and convenient. The turn in process was a bit cumbersome though using the website for after hours return. While I understand the need for pictures, etc., it took several tries to get the website to accept the pictures and move to the next step even though the pic was clearly show on the webpage as having been upload (I would have to delete them and start over). Likely some kind of software bug or maybe sketchy cell signal. In the end it was done and confirmed but after a hot sweaty day of unloading, it was a tad irritating to have to go though that process.AUSTIN C.

The equipment was in great condition. The lack of cruise control made the long distance trip harder and engine governed below some posted speed limits made keeping up with traffic harder and was frankly a bit unsafe.
