we initially had planned to pick up this truck at Black Dog Furniture in Clinton Township. The code provided did not open the lock box for the key to the truck. We wasted an hour having to get the truck from another location further away as there was nobody present on site when we tried to pick it up. Waste of precious time and energy. Additionally Black Dog Furniture advised all they rent out was 15' trucks, yet when we get there, there are all different sizes parked outside. I could not drop off due to being gated off. Office hours are from 9-5pm. I arrived next day at 9am and nobody from the office was there and I was told they would be there until 9:30. When getting a trailer to rent to haul my toolbox from my old job to the new job, the gentleman did not put on the trailer safely as they are supposed to. The trailer comes off of my receiver and smacks my rear bumper caused minor scratches and 2 dents. But after complaining to the insurance they paid for a new bumper replacement! It needs to be an easier way to where you can retrieve the key for the 24-hour U-Haul services it was easy to get to the location I had access to the truck but when it came time to take the lock out of the lock truck to get the key in the back of the truck it took me at least a half an hour to get in there and the young lady on the phone had to keep going over it with me again until I got it so that was a hard technique but everything else other than that was good it was just trying to get the key out out of the lock back of the truckVictoria S.
I rent a ton of Uhauls and usually check them back in. I always try and schedule pick up and drop off at locations that are staffed and during normal staffing hours. This was the first time I used this location, and the last. I returned the vehicle early and no one was there to check it back in. I got a receipt for the rental then the next day got another receipt for $175 more because I was charged for cleaning. I called the location and asked for pictures because I did not leave it dirty. They would not provide them and told me to call Uhaul. They could not see pictures but did send me to a supervisor who did give me a credit. Like the company, not the location.Angelo S.
MARK AT KEEPSAFE STORAGE IS VERY RUDE, IGNORANT AND DISRESPECTFUL. The contract told me to return my truck by 6:00pm on April 1st which I did. Upon arriving I sat out there for 30 MINUTES TRYING TO GET THE ATTENTION OF ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES BLATANTLY IGNORING ME INSIDE! I honked my horn multiple times, rang the doorbell and called customer service but could not reach anyone and I did not just want to leave the keys by the gate because the drop box was inside the gate and the gate was locked! MARK WAS VERY IGNORANT AND CALLED ME AT 10:30PM AT NIGHT DEMANDING THAT I BRING THE KEYS BACK, SCREAMING AND INTERRUPTING ME EVERYTIME I SPOKE. This was the most disgusting experience I've had and I will take it up with corporate. I also overfilled the tank and I want a refund immediately. You need better employees!!mary A.

When i first arrived, the truck was not unlocked and had to go inside to get the key which defeated the whole mobile check in. When i first got the truck it appeared clean, then there was a used mask under the seat and also ashes in the ashtray. I had to extend my rental time once until 9:30 and then ran into more issues so tried to extend one more time and it said that i was unable to because the truck is being rented out to another family and must be back by 10pm to avoid charges. When i went back to drop it off i was rushing to beat the time and did not get gas. It was given to be at a quarter tank. I used maybe half of that. Barely the cost of 15 dollars to fill up which i was unable to do trying to avoid being charges extra. When i got to the place, no one was waiting on this truck, there was actually 2 other trucks on site. This just seemed like a scam to charge the customers no matter what.Shaima S.
The truck they gave me was super old and gross. There was cigarette ash in the ash tray, and the worst part was they forgot to put the dollies in the truck. It was after hours, so I had to wait on hold for 30 minutes to talk to someone, and then they made me drive to a different location to go pick them up. What should've been a 20 minute check in process turned into a 1hr 45 min process. I was very upset and annoyed at this situation, and I will not rent from this location again.Natalie N.

15 foot Uhaul was filthy inside. Full of dirt and mud. Windows and cup holder was dirty. Passenger door black weather stripping was coming off. Rear door handle was rusted and hard to open. I paid $157 for a 80 mile round trip which is overpriced considering the condition of the vehicle. I wanted to rent the 10 foot Uhaul that was in the parking lot but was told it was unavailable. However, when I returned the 15 foot Uhaul hours later, the 10 foot Uhaul was in the same exact spot outside the gate which let me know it was available. Poor customer service and overpriced. Unlike previous experience at a Uhaul Location and not at a storage facility.roxanne C.

Know what the equipment dash lights mean. Neither the rental location or the receiving location knew what a green wrench displayed on the dashboard meant. Myself and Dave at the receiving location speculate it may be a service needed warning. But no firm explanation.Charles K.
I was extremely pleased with the service I received from the gentleman who helped me with the rental. His explanation of the process kept me from possibly being locked behind the gate when returning the truck. Thanks to the gentleman who took the time to explain a small but very important process of returning the truck, bringing a second car inside the gate after hours and the gate closing and the car causing the gate to reopen. The owner or the employee working at the time lied about not having certain truck in stock only to have me rent a more expensive truck and when confronted with proof ( the website showing they were available and onsite ) he tried to make as if I was being a rude or demanding customer for wanting the truck I asked for in the first place by say "really I'm going to have to redo all your paper work and it's only $10 come on ".
