King’s was a very easy drop off.

I recommend this location but I do not recommend uhaul as a company. I have had three separate uhaul rentals over the course of the last 6-7 months and each time has had its own separate issue. Whether it be the additional days that the app showed I would get if I choose a different drop off location or your customer service trying to resolve an issue transferring me 5-6 times and still not resolving my issues/questions. If there are other options in the future to use a different rental truck, I WILL NOT use uhaul. This negative review is solely about how poor I feel uhaul is as a company and has nothing to do with King's Beverages.

First of all, U-Haul made it extremely difficult to get the truck in the first place WHICH I DIDNT EVEN WANT, I was trying to get a pickup but there was not a single pickup in the area, so in response to this they called me and told me they bumped me up to a 10 foot truck, not a huge deal or anything I suppose I can use the box truck for my needs, I was told it was at no additional charge seeing as how I was trying to get a pickup but looking back on the price now I find it hard to believe they gave me any discounts at all, well two or three days go by and the day finally comes for me to go get the truck, well an hour or two before that I get yet another call from U-Haul basically saying sorry you won't be able to pick up that truck because the site did not process your reservation so on and so forth well at this point I'm a little pissed off not gonna lie but I decide to ask some questions one of which was simply could I still try if I wanted to, well the rep goes into this huge detail oriented speed rant about how I could if I wanted to but I would forfeit the whole $50 incentive thing well I decided I wasn't gonna risk it and decided I would just take the $50 wanna hear the response? ITS NO LONGER AVAILABLE BECAUSE HE EXPLAINED THE OPTIONS TO ME! Me literally asking if I could try the location was apparently enough for me to forfeit the reservation guarantee thank goodness the truck was there and the location was open, well I explain where I was going and how long I estimated I would have the vehicle kind of assuming that one be enough for an accurate quote and the price looked good so I paid and I was on my way, the truck drove like an absolute nightmare the handling felt more akin to a garbage truck than a box truck, and I drove box trucks daily when I worked at RAC so this was a pretty big shock to me well despite the horrible driving experience I dropped everything off and made my return to the rental location WHERE I WAS SLAPPED IN THE FACE WITH AN ADDITIONAL $55 FEE! I brought the truck back early, filled it with gas, and cleaned the box of any debris left behind by my dirtbike but because I went over the mileage I must now pay an additional 55 FREAKING DOLLARS?! I was not even aware at the time there was a mileage fee I simply assumed when the guy at the counter asked me for estimated mileage it was just so they could keep records on the odometer or cross reference where I actually took the truck or something there's another place in the place I live where I could have gotten a pickup truck for the exact same price U-Haul was charging me I just didn't know how much of a nightmare my U-Haul experience was going to be or I would have absolutely went with them word of advice, STEER CLEAR OF U-HAUL IF YOU VALUE YOUR MENTAL HEALTH!

They were not open when they said they would be, they did not have any of the equipment that I had reserved and they were slow. I was there an hour waiting to rent a truck.

My reservation was not finalized by your agent. When I got to the location I was delayed 7 hours. the truck felt like it had bad tires or something wrong with the driveline, severe shaking the whole time. I was charged for a handtruck never received. overall disappointed

I was overcharged on mileage by $13,6 —-they charged me $67,32 & the 68 miles traveled x 0,79 cents a mile equals $53,72 versus what i was charged.

I returned the UHaul with the appropriate amount of gas according to the documentation I signed. Then upon returning it it was documented I returned it on empty and got charged another 84 dollars. When I tried to get the issue resolved by returning to the store and taking a picture of the gas gauge and sending it to U Haul support I was ghosted. Needless to say I won't be using UHaul again.

The lady working at King Beverage did not seem enthusiastic about helping me. She wrote my name down on a sticky note and said she would check in the hauler later. I have no idea if she ever got around to checking in the hauler. I took several pictures just in case I am accused of not turning in the hauler due to the lady at King Beverage forgetting to check it in.

On the day of pick up, I was told by the manager on duty, even though I was using the app and had already checked in, that there is more to the process than just using the app to get the keys. So I waited for the man to call U-Haul and then hand me the keys. Even though anywhere else, it is just a lock box situation after checking in with the app. The truck that I was given had a check engine light on and a fuel warning on the dash panel. Upon return, I parked the truck beside another U-Haul truck in the parking lot and after using the app to check in, a young man named Jayme came out and said that I would need to back the truck in next to the building and the other U-Haul truck or that he would charge me an inconvenience fee of $20.00. I called U-Haul to find out the policy of using the truck after returning it and also the legal requirements of the said charges. Alley (the U-Haul rep) advised me to get a receipt that I should not be charged for an inconvenience what so ever. Jayme then proceeded to say he would send me a receipt within the next few days. I asked how long it takes to check a truck in and that I would wait for the receipt. Jayme then decided to play games by saying he could not check the truck in because he did not know the password to complete the transaction ( all while telling customers that he dropped out of school in the 8th grade, that he was sorry for giving incorrect change back because he did not know math). Hearing this had me worried about what he was going to charge me, since I was renting a 26' truck for 1 day + 0,99 cents per mile. Only driving 22 miles, I was charged $106,38 I have more moving to do, and at this point, I don't feel that U-Haul is very well represented by King's Beverage and will not choose to do the rest of my moving using any of U-Haul's equipment. I will be sure to let everyone know about this location as well as review them on all aspects of web media. Oh, and during all of this, Jayme said to my wife that she should get some liquor, that this is the right place to get it. (Randomly- we were not even discussing the store) You just don't talk and treat people with disrespect. I am currently awaiting for the area manager to contact me, since he was given my info and the details of this situation. We will see where it goes from here.
