The rent by phone verification system was confusing and difficult to use. There was no prior information about verifying your identity with a passport picture or alternate contact. I was not pleased - spent a long time struggling outside the van trying to start the rental

Change the price for the insurance back to ten dollars. I didn't expect the insurance to be $25 dollars. That's bullshit. And the guy at the location doesn't even profit from the price raise. Some people depend on uhaul to run a small moving business. Unless you really need to raise it don't be fucking greedy. I used to always tell people how great uhaul is. Stop bumping up the charges.

I was told I was given a one way truck. When I got to my destination, I was told I could not drop off the uhaul truck at that location because I was told I had to bring it back to the original location. When I called the original location, I was told I should be able to drop it off at my desired location. Apparently it was not changed in the computer. I have now been going back and forth with customer service because I am going to be charged double for leaving it at the destination store. This whole process has been frustrating and I will NEVER be a uhaul customer again.

This was by far the worst experience I have had renting a vehicle; I will neither use Uhaul in the future nor recommend this service to a friend. After using my rental for a span of several hours, I was charged for two full days of rental service. I called customer service (after trying to call the Kingsland location several times and receiving no response) and was informed I would be refunded in the amount of ~$30. Today, I checked my bank account and, while that amount has in fact been refunded, I now see that I have been charged an additional $50 from the Kingsland site with no explanation or contact from either the site itself or Uhaul's customer service. I have called customer service several times and not gotten through, and the Kingsland site does not answer calls. As far as the site itself, the employee working when I returned the van was extremely rude to me. When I explained that I had used 1/8 of a tank of gas, and wanted to know whether he was aware of the fuel capacity of the vehicle I had used (so I could refill the exact amount I had used), he was extremely demeaning and implied that I did not understand how to calculate something so simple as a basic fraction (as a blonde woman of moderate intelligence, I did not find being made to feel stupid and inept a new experience; however, I did pay for and operate a moving van independently, and it would be nice to be treated with the respect I suspect would be afforded to a male customer of the same intellectual capacity). The attendant in question also told me to leave the car on while I filled up the gas so I could watch the gauge rise - which, little as I know about auto mechanics, I feel confident that one should generally avoid having a car running while filling it with a flammable substance. Moving is stressful enough without being continuously and erroneously charged, in addition to being treated like an idiot. I would say that Uhaul made my moving experience even more difficult that it already was. I am very disappointed in the service, and worry I am going to have to cancel my credit card to avoid having recurrent and inexplicable charges showing up.

this was the second rental in a row where i'd had to rent from a different location, and Kingsland ended up saving me. i'll hit the first, separately. in this case, your shop at 996 (i think) Metropolitan, which allowed me a 'counter-pick up' option during my reservation process, CLOSED 4 HOURS EARLY, with about 20 vehicles locked inside. this made me late for my event, for the second time in a row, you still charged me full price, as usual, and (after a half hour in the 90-degree sun, mostly on hold), ended up sending me to the place i would have preferred to go, anyway -- had your reservation system not still said, as of that morning, that they had no vans. this burns me, as a very regular customer, to no end. so, in short. for the 3rd time out of 4 rentals, your entire system failed us both, no compensation was offered, but this review shows as 5 stars, because Kingsland saved my ass. again. i hope your company as a whole pulls it together, as i'm fresh out of 3rd and 4th chances, at this point.

This location added a cleaning fee to a truck that was used lightly for about 2 hours. This cleaning fee represents 20% of the expense is a complete and utter lie. I would never use this location and would warn any friends against it. Rude staff as well.

I have used it for less than 20 miles but he charged me for 35 miles. He did not gave me the receipt right away and said I will get it in email. When I check the email, it is showing 35 miles on it. I will recommend this location to anyone.

I picked up the van in fair condition not spotless by any means and then when I returned the van in the same condition I received it I was charged a Cleaning fee? Am I expected to have it detailed before returning? I think this location is taking advantage of the customers and trying to make extra money off those who do t notice this on their invoice. Not the first time I’ve had this issue with this specific location.

I was texted a drop off location in Brooklyn, NY and when i arrived at that location the attendant there said he will not take the truck. I had to then search for another drop off location is a place that i was unfamiliar with. When I did find another location, i had a friend follow me there and he took the truck but never inspected it with me. He said everything was OK. I later got a text from my credit card that i was charged for fuel. Remember the contract had 1/4 tank when it actuality it had 1/8 tank. The attendant never looked at the contract. In fact if you look at the web site for this rental location they have several poor reviews regarding this same issue. Very dissatisfied with the service. i called U-Haul and they refunded the extra fuel charge and promised a call back as I would like a refund of the rental charge as this rental did not go well. I am still waiting for that call back.

I was charged for a two day rental insurance fee even though I only had this rental for one day. I called letting them know that I would be about an hour and a half late for drop off and they did not mention an extra fees letting me know that there would not be any extra fees. I have reached out to Uhaul over the phone 4 times. Once they said they'd call me back, once they put me on hold for 20 minutes and the last two times I have been hold without reaching anyone. I was overcharged for my rental and I would like a refund. I did not have this rental for two days and the receipt says one day. I was overcharged for the safemove fee as the teller assured me it would only be $16 as stated when I made the reservation online. Also, my original reservation was made a week before the trip, a day before I was supposed to pick the truck up they changed the time from 10am to 12pm and to a location an hour away via subway in brooklyn ny.  This has been an awful experience and would like to be compensated for the trouble as I have used you guys almost 5 times to move and have never experienced such incompetence, dishonesty and urgency to not provide excellence customer service or just customer service, period.

BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION. I rented from this garage for 1 day, but they charged me for 2 days. They also added an additional day of equipment rental plus insurance, which I explicitly declined. The van I rented (small cargo) is $20 plus mileage, for which I drove less than 15 miles, however the charge on my bank account was for over $100! When I called the location to inform them of the error (or very purposeful mistake in my opinion) they acted as though it was impossible for their team to make a mistake and told me that I was wrong and should take it up with customer service, which I have done and they are now investigating. Also, this location takes cash for gas replenishment (when you don't fill the tank back up, etc). Apparently, that's against UHAUL policy. That should have been a red flag for me, but I trusted the business and believed they were reputable. That was clearly my mistake.
