Had a hard time getting that truck up to speed to get onto the freeway. Might want to look into that. I never received an email receipt either, which I could really use please

Ladies at the desk didn't seem to know much about equipment etc. They also couldn't help with anything. My reservation for some reason got "lost" and wasn't in the system so everything had to be re-entered.

Vincent B.Would make life much easier if hitches we sold at all locations! This was an issue for me. Where I made the reservation I was told that the pickup point would have hitches for sale. When I arrived there they didn't sell hitches. I had to find a hitch at an auto parts store, lucky it was somewhat close by.

Vincent P.The company that was supposed to help us, that we booked thru U-Haul was 1,6 hours late, so we loaded ourselves and the still charged us full price. That is cheating the customer. Then, that same company wanted to PAY me to write a good review for them...
SUSAN T.Trailer tongue frozen to the ground, ball tightening screw also frozen. Of course it was below freezing in the morning. Maybe prop the tongue onto a board? Inside retainer boards are loose or missing on right side wall. Other than that checkout and checkin went flawlessly. Used online rental, had everything ready to go.
Daniel O.I rented at 5x8 trailer to haul a king size headboard and footboard, they were difficult to secure since some of the trailers side rails were missing and the remaining side rails were damaged. The lady at the front desk could not have been any nicer.
Creston C.Check equipment before renting it out. Lights wouldn't work to connect the trailer. No one knew this so when I packed up the truck went to get the Trailer to haul my car I couldn't. So that caused me to have to drive 500 miles to pick up my husband so I could have someone to drive my car.

Powerline did not have the availability at the time of the reservation and were rude when I asked how I could cancel that reservation. My over all experience with Uhaul was very poor. However, Lake Erie Lawn and Garden had the truck I needed at the time I needed it despite having a reservation at another location. They really bailed me out.
Joe K.The battery died after loading furniture and had to be jump started. Had to keep the van running the whole time we were unloading the furniture. I am glad I was only using it for one small load. The rest of the process and the people were great.

karen M.The two ladies who work there were awful!! There weren't any other customers and it took over 30 minutes to get my trailer. Then I waited another 15min for them to come and take the picture but they never came out and I had to go so I left. They called and I had to come back so they could take the picture. They said they were busy and couldn't come out to take the picture but there was no one in the store. By the time I came back to take the picture it was well over 45mins total time from when I came into the store. Not to mention I had the uhaul reserved for only 3 hours so I was late to return it. When I returned the uhaul. These two old ladies who manage the store were awful and had extremely poor customer service. I will NEVER go back to that place or recommend anyone to go there!

The truck needs service though: the brakes are shot, wheels are unbalanced above 25 mph, and the check engine light remained illuminated for the duration of the rental. Staff explained the check engine light was likely due to tire pressure sensors, but left us somewhat concerned renting the truck.

They charge double and then refuse to reimburse the full double amount. I have been renting from uhaul places around the area for years, this is by far the worst place you can go.

Pickup location was unorganized and full of clutter could barley walk to the register. Employee was smoking in the truck right next to big propane filling tank. Truck cargo area leaked water on most of my boxes in “moms attic†storage space.

JACK L.When I went to pick up the truck the place looked like Fred Sanford's junk yard out of Sanford and Son. They tried to dolly with one wheel. I ordered 24 moving blanks when I called in, the day of pickup they only had 12. The truck was ABSOLUTELY FILTHY. The truck took us five minutes to start, and was left on empty. To be honest I'm not even sure how to truck made it 100 miles. The transmission was non- existent. I'm not even sure how a rental company is allowed to rent trucks in that poor of shape. I will never rent from uhaul again.

Robert D.I was told that mileage was an additional 29 cents per mile, but was charged $1 per mile. The wipers in the truck need to be replaced.
RUSS M.I was supposed to have a truck at 9am in the morning (at another location). That truck had broken glass in the cabin, a missing passenger rearview mirror, vents missing and other malfunctioning pieces and parts. After 2 hours of back and forth with UHAUL, another truck at another location was found but not available until 1:30pm. This truck was significantly cleaner and ready to go. However, when we got on the road, specifically the highway, the check engine light came on. I called the location and they assured me that the truck would be fine. It did the close to 500 miles it needed to do but UHAUL really needs to fix the transmission as the truck struggled to downshift. UHAUL needs an overhaul!
Carl D.The uhaul was dirty. The check engine light was on even though I was assured it was recently "serviced" by the front desk clerk. Customer service was just okay, but the key box made after-hours drop off easy. I had to ask for my dolly, as it wasn't already loaded nor mentioned by the clerk. Overall, I was able to accomplish what I needed to but the experience itself wasn't anything special.
