Trailer had bald tires, was not clean. No cable for connecting the lights. Had a tire go flat 77 km into my drive. Was stranded on the side of the road for 4 hours. Unit not inspected before pick up

Thankfully a lady working at a business in the same building called a girl back in. Once she got there it was smooth and they had someone help me hook up the trailer. Overall would rent again, very reasonable price !
Michelle FThe truck I had reserved never came back the the location. I have rented a 26 foot truck and was rented a 10 footer. I waited over an hour for the keys to the dirty truck that was on empty. This was the worst experience I've ever had with uhaul. Your reception girl at the lake way truck centre cried and couldn't get ahold of corporate office for assistance. Horrible horrible experience.
Tanya VBe consistent with your rental process, and stop screwing people over by switching their pick up locations without telling the person who rented it. Make sure that what is booked is there at pickup times this is the 3rd time I have had issues with your company, but because I live in an area where uhaul is basically the only place to rent a moving truck I have no choice to rent from this company.

KYLE RThe new trainee did a great job of getting me set up, so not a reflection on her. Others not so much. Uhaul System wasn't cooperating so was about 40 minutes providing vehicle etc info a few times-then at pick up l had to provide all info again. First trailer was cleaned off but the hitch crank handle not working so another trailer had to be cleaned off. Email confirmation directly from haul provided confirmation codes that did not work. Rather frustrating process unfortunately.

Johnathan BHI : I was not impressed with the condition of the trailer , even after I requested it be prepared for use . The tie downs were wound up the wrong way and frozen for a long time before I got it . It took hours of work to get them useable and get the car tied down . The trailer bed was full of ice and snow , the lights were covered with frozen slush ,sand and snow which was hard to clean without breaking something !!! to my way of thinking , This is no way to run a business !!! NOT IMPRESSED in Sault Ste. Marie . ED

josh RDid mobile check in and still had wait in line for keys. Truck wouldn't start and had to be boosted. Filled truck up with gas before returning and was still charged with refueling.

kenneth mThe truck rental was in horrible condition. There was dog food inside with cigarette ashes. The passenger door was covered in puke. The tank was completely empty upon pick up. Worst experience I have ever had. Even renting the truck was very unprofessional. The employee has no idea how to properly rent me the vehicle and clearly the vehicle was not inspected before I rented it. I took a picture of the vehicle condition prior to rental. However in the application it only allows for 1 photo in the condition section. After dropping off the vehicle the app asks me if the vehicle is clean for the next person to rent it. If I select no I am charged for the previous persons disgusting puke. I was forced to select yes as clean so I was not charged to the previous persons mess. This section should have a comment box where I could have explained how gross this vehicle was to me previously renting. I would like to hear back so I know you have read how poorly my experience was Thanks
KYLE MLocation didn't acknowledge our drop off and didn't have appropriate times.....
Fred MU-Haul should close down this as as U-haul location! They don't follow recommended Co-Vid precautions or show respect to their customers. We were berated throughout our interactions and after several problems created by this location, we had to speak with several U-Haul reps over the phone. Based on those phone conservations, this location definitely does not follow U-haul's customer service and co-vid safety protocols.

James FRented us a car hauler with back lights not working... price was quoted us over the phone at 25 per day... went to rent it and found out it was 75... took forever to get paper work done....
LYNNE TActually, the rental experience was frustrating. I was to pick up a 10 foot truck on Friday evening. On Thursday I received an email telling me my 26 foot truck would be available mid afternoon on Saturday. Not good. I called the 905 number provided but was told repeatedly that nothing could be done about the size of the truck. I was also given the address for the pickup but no phone number so I drove to the address Friday morning just to confirm the 4:30 pickup. The woman I spoke to knew nothing about the rental. I returned at 4:30 and the young man at the location also knew nothing about the rental. He made several phone calls to local people and eventually called the 905 number and forty five minutes after my arrival at the location, I received keys. The employees of the trucking company were not informed or trained on Uhaul protocol. This should not have happened. I gave the details here of this experience so that the situation can be rectified and future customers don't experience the same frustrations. I would appreciate a response from you.

Jeese PThe woman that was processing my pick-up was horrible. She was not helpful at all. She yelled at me because she got confused about which rental contract I want to pick-up. Eventually, she gave me the keys and left for lunch. I went outside and realized the truck is stuck in snow. So I had to find some help to bring it out because it was her 'lunch' time and she wanted nothing to do with work. This type of personnel are really bad for your business. I definitely recommend you look into this.
Kaveh MTrailer exterior was extremely dirty and area where I had to get it wasn't cleared of snow. WISH I COULD POST MY PICTURES TO PROVE IT!! I asked if they could spray wash it.. RESPONSE: We don't do that!!!! So I had to pay and get it done so I wouldn't get dirty when I was to load it. NOT IMPRESSED!!!!
Michael PMileage on contract was inaccurate. Problems could not be solved by dealer. Staff at 1-800 number were disinterested and unhelpful.
Bob MMostly great, only downside is the hours they are open but that appears standard in most places. Though they do everything to try and accommodate for that.

Ralf GNo one came out to help me connect the trailer and the roof leaked on what I was hauling. The whole reason for renting a covered trailer was to prevent water from damaging my new countertop

jackie nWell when I got there they said they did not have a truck for me. I had already reserved one. Then they said yes they had one. It took me 45 minutes to do the paper work as system kept failing. Lakeway trucking is a truckers part and hauling site. The owner and its workers not the uhaul lady used the f bomb several times and were yelling g at each other for truck hauling issues unrelated to uhaul. I felt like I was a bother. Maybe the uhaul needs to be in another area away from the hub of the trucker service part. Just saying
Laurie IIt's a uhaul, and some idiot at the HQ over booked. i booked a truck a month in advance. and they gave my truck to someone that booked AFTER me. luckily i called a few days prior tp my pickup dates and found this out because no one called me. the problem was resolved by giving me a larger truck. In the end I ended up spending a lot more in gas than the discounted rate i was given. TLDR; Location GOOD, Corporate BAD
WILL TTraining. Treat customer with respect. Explain the time of return. Very dirty place to go into. Trucks are very old no ammenities for example crank windows. No cruise control. I am going to be moving across Canada in the spring I will not ever rent from u haul again

RICHARD CIt took me 2 hours to get my rental, and I was first in line. Was told to pickup at 8AM, when I got to the location they said the person doesn't start until 8:30. At 8:30 no one was there and didn't show up until almost 9. Then after fumbling trying to figure out the computer and system for another hour, they finally gave me the keys to a truck and told me to leave without signing anything. My father had to sit back for another half hour and sign things. My dolly's Weren't in the truck nor were the furniture pads. My dad grabbed them, but they only gave 10 pads, not the requested 24. And when I got all done apparently they gave me the wrong truck and they couldn't complete the transaction until mine was returned at another depot. VERY Dissatisfied with Lakeway Truck Center location! I want a discount for my time wasted and for not even getting the equipment I paid for.
Jordan DNot the location's fault but truck was not ready when i arrived. Appointment was for 8 and location doesn't open until 8:30 ish. Wasn't able to leave with truck until 9:15.
