It was hard to find someone to help and when I did he was in a small office with no windows open and he was a smoker.

SCOTT BThis location was a live saver The service was excellent. The service was fast and courteous with no hiccups. This was on the heels of a disastrous experience in Clovis., NM which started 6 days before the Plainview location saved me a 2 day delay.. On Wednesday I called the Clovis Location and tor reserve a 26' truck and a car transport. I was told they didn't have any at that time and to call back at the end of the week (Sunday ) to see if anything was available. the guy told me there was nothing there or was scheduled to come, He then gave me the phone number of the New Mexico main office and the gentleman there said that there was nothing available near Clovis but did give me the Texas main office in Abilene, Tx. The guy; in Abilene told me there would be a truck and trailer there by late Tuesday or Wednesday to pick up. So I left on my trip to N.M. to rent the truck ( 1165 Mile trip). on Monday. I got to Clovis on Tuesday morning about 9:00 to check to see when the reserved truck would be available. The boy at the counter looked on the computer and said it was there and it was scheduled to be picked up at 12:00 that day. I asked if I could pick it up sooner if I got things ready to load it. he said That would be fine. I went to the storage units were my things was stored and opened up the storage units and prepared to start loading the u haul when I got back. I came back to rent the truck and the boy I talked to was not in and the manager waited on me and said there was no 26' truck available until Thursday morning. I told him I was in earlier that morning and the boy told me it could be picked up at 12:00 or earlier. He said that he couldn't help there was not any thing he could do. I said there is a 26'er out side and he said that was for local use and he could not rent it out.So I called New Mexico main office they said call Texas
pat tThis experience w/U-Haul went very well.. The associate was very helpful, cordial & knowledgeable.. He took steps to ensure that the correct amount of miles were recorded, consequently, I was rewarded w/ a lower charge rate.. Instead of the original $56.+ charge, I was charged $40.+.. UNLIKE the younger associate of my 1st experience..
DANE BFor UHAUL- when you say "all you'll need is a phone with location services" then that should be all. I was not ready at the truck to provide licenses, passports, relatives, back ups, my first born child, and the blood of a unicorn. For Lee's - y'all did good. I'd like a key drop box, but that's obviously not necessary. The experience was quite fine.

JOSE MFor a very small location, Lee provided the best service I have ever received at a U-Haul. He went above and beyond to make sure the tires on my trailer would handle the long trip and they did. I had no trouble at all and want to say that's you for being an outstanding representative for U-Haul.
ANDREW CI have used U-Haul trucks before and always satisfied with the trucks but this time I was not satisfied with the way I was treated by U-Haul. I was supposed to pick up the 26-foot truck and the day before I got a call saying the truck was needed because a breakdown of another customer. That was understandable but I was told a truck was available 80 miles away and no one was able to driver the truck to my location. So, I needed to drive my car 80 miles (round trip 160 miles or 10 gal. $43,4 round trip) to pick up the truck (80 miles or $49,6) plus my time. A total of $93.00. Yes, I was told the rental would be 50 less but I was still out 43 plus my time. Now the truck was not in good working condition. When coming to a stop sign, I stepped on the break and the truck accelerated to 3500 RPM and still going strong. This happened evetime I came to a stop sign or coming to a curve and I need to reduce my speed. Oh, I drove 60 65 miles an hour. At one point I thought I was going to hit the car in front of me. Now the auto transport. Two of the tires were will over the safe stage. I put a penny and could see all of Lincoln's head.

Shaun RGave me a faulty trailer, and a truck that needed work. The trailer landing gear caused a lot of problems, luckily the other location made up for it.

ESTATE OI had to contact roadside assistance because the oil was black and like tar. It hadn't been changed in a very long time. Once that was taken care of, everything was smooth and easy.
