we rented a 15 foot truck but when we went to pick it up it had a totally flat front tire. We were in luck as there was a spare 26 foot truck on the lot and the excellent staff members there got us fixed up right away and did not delay our move for more than half an hour. I would suggest that a visual inspection of the tires might be in order. Also when I rented the truck I should have asked how big a truck I needed. for me to move from a bungalow that I had lived in for 26 years. a 15 foot truck would have been way to small.

Make sure the vehicle the customer books is WHERE they want to pick it up! That's so frustrating! AND - make sure that no matter who answers the phone, that person can help the customer instead of designating what office can help that customer. Over 2 freaking hours of MY time wasted trying to get the right office!!! So not impressed!

Extremely poor experience - booked a 6x12 encloses over the phone got a guarantee for a 6pm Friday pick up at a location 10 minutes from my house. Get a call Friday morning to confirm the trailer will be at another location 40 minutes from my house, whatever. Get to the new confirmed location and they don't have a trailer for me. Only one available was the next day at a location 60 minutes north of the city. Delayed my move by a valuable day. Kicker is, there's no remorse or reimbursement by staff, like this happens all the time...

Truck was dirty. Service was very slow, had to restart his computer and try different ways to get through the rental. Took over an hour to get my truck. Then was told my credit card wouldn't enter in his computer properly. And changed me an extra 100 $for paying in “cash” even though I paid him with my credit card... not a good experience!

There did not seem to be accurate info between the central booking/reservation and this location. I booked with Central for 2 nights and 2 days for a 15' with tiedowns, a furniture dolly, & blankets. She was friendly and quick. When I came to the location, they seemed unaware of the booking but found it. They only had a 20', no blankets and no tiedowns. I did get a dolly. Staff at the location were friendly and efficient but we were both left a little puzzled at what happened regarding the difference in booking and what was actually available. Painless return process. Merci

We were required to drive 50 km out of our way to pick the truck up. This resulted in an additional mileage charge that we are not happy about, in addition to the inconvenience. There was an empty liquor bottle in the back of the truck, they only had 10/12 blankets that we ordered and there was mud on the floor of the driver's side.

I think it's crazy to be charged for a wheel dolly for 3 days when I only had it for 7 hours total. Almost 300 to travel 600km. Rented in the morning and returned that night

Trailer was left hitch down in a puddle and then froze over with 3 inches of ice. Had to pick ice off with screw driver and hammer. It took 3 hours to sign paperwork and get truck and trailer setup and hit the highway to load up. To find out later the trailer didn't work at all for lights for the entire trip. When I went to pay for my equipment they tried to charge me twice as much as the price I reserved for. Very disappointed in the service they provided.

We were given two drop off locations prior to this one. The first was 45 mins away and then second one did not exist. Quite frustrating and tiring after moving and travelling for a few days.

I was uncomfortable dropping off the trailer here as it was on open property and anyone could come along at night and hook up to the trailer and take it. The person behind the counter tried to comfort me by telling me that nothing has ever happened like that nor will happen either, yet when I asked multiple times for a paper confirming that I returned the trailer he would not give me one. He just kept telling me that it was entered into the system that I returned it. After we left I called u haul customer support and they said that nothing was showing that I returned it. The lady who I talked with said she entered it into the system that I returned it. I stopped by there a little later on my way back to Edmonton and took pictures on my phone just in case. The next morning I called customer service and they said the Legal location entered it into the system that the trailer was returned. Something is not quite right there. Anyways a big thank you to the people in customer support who helped me through this. I greatly appreciated it!

They spend half an hour trying to find it on the computer and did not speak English. I have rented with family and friends on many occasions and NEVER had a bad experience with UHAUL until this past weekend. Let me get back to the beginning of this bad customer experience. This rental was for my Son Allan Galbreath and were told on the phone that it was close to Spruce Grove, Alberta at the 218th street location about 15 minutes from my house and if it was not available there....we would get a call within an hour on Saturday evening. Made supper and no call and went to bed @ 11:00 thinking it was so done. Then Sunday morning I received a call @9:06 am to say that it was in Legal, Alberta.....where he had just driven through an hour before on his way to Spruce Grove. He drove 1 hour there to pick up the trailer and 1 hour back to load his stuff and then headed to Athabasca to unload what he had stored. Monday morning November 13th, he called the number on his receipt to return the trailer in Athabasca and was then told that he had to drive another hour to WESTOLCK Alberta as there was no dealer in Athabasca, Alberta any more and drive another back and he would have to miss a day of work for this error of UHAUL. This is such a bad experience and NOTHING can undo this 4 extra hours of driving for him and the loss of a whole days pay for him and also driving in fog and snow. What I would WISH for is for this WHOLE BAD experience to just GO AWAY and be reimbursed for this HORRIFIC and AWEFULLE weekend??

I am very disappointed in the overall service of Uhaul. My reservation was not where I had confirmed it to be. I asked for an enclosed 6 X 12 trailer for Westlock on August 30. I was told that my reservation had not been processed and I would have to travel two hours to pick up my trailer. That was not going to happen, so they accomodated me by giving me this cargo (not enclosed) trailer at a special price. (That I still had to drive 30 minutes away for). This is the second time I have had to chase my rental and settle for less. The last time they were going to send me a 100 $credit cheque in the mail and I never received it. Both times I had confirmed a few days ahead of time and bOth times my unit was not where I was told it would be. I am not impressed.

Very disappointed as we were told we could drop it off in Morinville as stated on our contract and when we arrived we were told they were not a uhaul dealer. How could uhaul not know this??!! We ended up have to drive 20 miles out of our way to drop it in legal. Unacceptable that you do not have this in your records!!

Muddy lot, almost got stuck just dropping the trailer off. It is what it is though, and was a convenient drop off location for me. No complaints.

WOuld be nice, to have the people who manage the location properly trained on the process for renting out Vehicals, On both ocassions staff had to make phone calls, and remain on phone on how to complete the process of renting out and returning of the Truck, Took over 45 min to rent veh and close to an Hour to return the truck. Very disorganized, Had to supply information at least 3 times upon pick up, and had to get milage four times upon return. As a retired Military person with 35 years of service, I find this very unusual, as to having people trained to do their jobs.

I booked a few weeks ahead for a 5x8 wagon, in edmonton! I had to drive Legal AB, to pick it up, about 45 mins from fort sask! Only tofind Im given a 4x4x8! Pissed, but I took it, I was qoated 250 for the extra mileage on my part! Being shorter, and narrower than required, some belongings like dresser, nite stand, and other misc items required for handicapped senior VETERAN of 43 years service!!!! Were left behind, I have nothing good to say of what, U haul did for DAD! The move was from EDMONTON, to the SURREY area of BC! Not a short move, and caused alot of undue STRESS on DAD, for items he REQUIRES for his mobility and daily living, THANK YOU, for screwing over the the very people, that GAVE YOU, YOUR FREEDOM!!!!!!! ????????????

I had a disastrous experience with U-Haul. I have always used your companies services when moving but will likely switch to a new company next time. I booked my reservation about a month in advance with no issue. On the day before pickup I never received a phone call so I went to the location I was told I would pickup my truck before they closed at 7 pm. When I got there I was informed that the location had been switched to a location 15 min away. I am a university student and the reason I chose U-haul was because this particular location runs along a bus route I frequently use. Despite this annoyance, I was able to get a ride from a friend to get to the new location. I was told that the King street location was open at 7 am by both the regional distributor and the Taunton road location so you can imagine my anger when I had to wait in an empty parking lot for an hour and a half for them to open at 8:30 am. Once they finally opened, I entered what appeared to be a second hand electronic store,with the owner also running trucks for U-Haul. This seemed very unprofessional. To make it worse, even though they had my reservation, they had no trucks, and the owner Ken told me he had been telling the regional distributor that they had no truck for me, but had done nothing about it. I waited on hold with the regional distributor for over an hour trying to solve the problem before I hung up as clearly no one wanted to help me. I was then sent back to the Taunton location to see if they had any trucks available. They were extremely helpful and told me that a truck was being routed back to the King street location. After three hours of waiting we finally received the 14 foot truck we reserved. In a final injustice, once I returned the truck to the Aurora location I was informed that I was going to be charged extra for going over the alloted mileage. These extra 2,2 miles were a result of having to drive further into downtown Oshawa than was originally agreed upon. I am absolutely furious with the way I was treated by the King street location and the regional distributor.

Store was cramped and dirty looking. Van was filthy, it had bird poop all over it and dirt. The van worked properly but the cleanliness of the site and the van was awefull. Plus the guy kept calling us the day we rented asking when we'd return it. No word of a lie he called within an hour of us driving it off the lot. Even though we told him when we would bring it back when we were in the store.

When i went to return the Trailer no one was their to greet me. As a matter of fact the place was locked up. The time was 1715 so i dropped the trailer and went home and called the number on the rental agreement and some one answered so i told them idropped the trailer and he said that was fine.
