Trailer was in a snow bank and was not offered any assistance to help lift the trailer onto the hitch. A 6'x12' trailer is quite heavy to pick up and maneuver onto the trailer ball. They also did not have the furniture blankets that I ordered with the trailer.

Trailer was very dirty and had a terrible aroma inside. Needed to take it to car wash and scrub inside with brush and foam cleaner, as well as spray odor eliminator inside. Overall, it took 5 hours to go pick up the trailer, transport back to Edmonton. Then clean and make suitable for us to move our personal belongings in. This experience delayed our move significantly. We called the local management of U haul to discuss the issues and never recieved a call back from manager. Not a good experience.

Received a trailer that had no light hook ups. Was told if I find the attachments needed, to bring the receipt in, to be discounted from the overall bill. I spent an hour of my time driving between 3 stores to finally find a long enough connector to reach my plug in. When I returned the trailer and gave them my receipts, they showed me the discounted rate of 48,09 to be charged. However the charged me the full amount anyways on my card. I lost time moving and money, while not alot, the experience was not great.

Again wasn't happy that drop off was changed. My son was going to drop off on his way to work at Edmonton location on Winterburn road. Changing it to Legal meant it was the opposite direction for him. Would have liked explanation on why this change was made!!

I would have appreciated some help to hook up trailer. I am a 71 year woman and he just said it is over there and I had to hook it up myself. a\And lifting that hitch from the ground to my truck was hard. I did it but it would have been nice to have some help.

The staff had no clue what he was doing , he was the only staff and that is a very busy location. When we went to return the trailer the location was closed due to a computer update I tried to call the number that is with the uhaul rental and it was out of order. I had a dolly to return so I left it in the trailer . Also there was a bunch of moving blankets left in the trailer from a previous rental so I left them in the trailer too . I couldn't tell anyone because the location was closed . We dropped the trailer off at 9;30 am . Pluse when I was quoted for rental it was just under $100 then when I rented it the price jumped $50 more . I had no choice but to rent from this location because all trailers were rented out around Edmonton which I find strange. So it was a 45 min each way drive to pick up and drop off the trailer. I have never had such a horrible experience renting from uhaul and I have rented a lot from you in the last 3 years.I have moved every year. I was very disappointed in this location.

The truck was not cleaned in box. Had broken glass in it. Cab part was ok. The Gas in tank was only 1/4 full. Fellow said it has been this way in past. Others places had tank full or almost full. So not sure about policy. And a suggestion when booking a vehicle person needs to know what time frame vehicle coming back when someone else has booked it. And also I thought when u pick up vehicle the person goes with u to check out vehicle before and after.

I picked it up, they knew I was coming and they didn't have it ready and they were not prepared. When I picked it up they only had a half tank of fuel in it and when I returned it with a half tank i was charged for the fuel. Why do I have to fill it if I get it half full. Would not recommend

When I booked this uhual I was originally told we would be picking up in westlock and dropping off in Barrhead. The day before I'm supposed to pick up I'm told pickup is now in Legal but still told I can drop off in Barrhead and not be charged the extra distance. The day of return I'm.told barrhead and westlock uhual are no longer in operation and I have to drop off in Legal and I'm being charged the extra distance. This is not ok and pretty shady way of doing business. If I would have been told this upfront I would have canceled the uhaul and rented a local truck in barrhwad to move with as it would have been $150 cheaper than this. I do not appreciate being lied to and told multiple times I would not be charged the extra distance and I would be able to drop off in barrhead. All were a lie. At this pint I would never recommend uhaul to anyone if this is the shady way their doing business.

Vehicle rented changed twice due to not available at requested location. Vehicle at new location would not start and had to use a big van that I could not drive, had to get someone to drive. Cabin was freezing, not a gentle ride. Whole experience was very frustrating.

I would not recommend U-Haul. The website shows KM's at a certain rate and when you get the agreement they increase it significantly. The quote showed the rate at 0,99/km and the agreement jumped it to $1,59/km.

Over an hour late. Rude staff. Had to wait over an hour past when I was supposed to get the truck and the manager was very dismissive. The staff kept just leaving to the back room while we were trying to figure the solution out. Called service number for U-Haul to let them know and the staff was quite rude as well. I am not someone who normally complains but this was a ridiculously bad experience

Had to ask a customer buying fuel to show me how to hook up trailer and make sure it was safely attached. This location just rents them but doesnt help with hook up.

Service station cashier was very busy juggling service to other retail customers while at the same time completing U-Haul documentation for my trailer rental. She did very well!

I originally rented ac15 foot from a St Albert location which is 16 km from my address because it was only location with 15 ft. Got there store was not opened and was suppose to be. Called uhaul then had to drive another 35 km to another dealer and got a 26 ft truck. Lost an hour and half while had helpers waiting for me. U haul did give me a 50$ credit. Got it done in end.

Legal Esso is not particularly clean and inviting, in fact, it's a bit skid. However, it was a convenient drop-off location and the staff were knowledgeable.

Next time, please be aware of what was reserved.. the type of dolly. The correct one was brought out, then put away, then brought out again when I said for the second time that it was the correct type. I was charged for two dollies but only reserved and used one, was reimbursed by Uhaul. At truck return, I was charged more money for no reason. I rented an extra day and was charged over the phone. The gas station where I dropped m the truck charged me again and told me to call Uhaul myself and figure it out. The return took waaay too long and I was quite late for work. I wasn't impressed by this. She also tried to argue the two dollies but I had an email stating I was reimbursed for the one I never reserved or took. It was a gong show. Dealing with Uhaul directly was easy abd their service was excellent though. I was also reimbursed for the double charge without having to call Uhaul. Thank you!

Store didn't know I had a reservation, despite having a confirmation email. They didn't have the truck I reserved, I had to use and pay for a much bigger truck.

I got no confirmation the trailer was returned and the lady behind the desk was not well trained or knowledgeable about uhaul return procedures. Also, this location does not answer the phone - I tried calling several times. I will return elsewhere next time.

I have already spoken to Savanagh the booking person and an investigation is being started into the Legal location . Uhaul I will concider to use as we always have in the past but this location is a very poor representation of UHaul as a whole. I showed up at 8:45 for my 9 am pick up and it was -28 , the truck was buried in 2-3 ft of snow all around, it hadn't been plugged in, cleaned or started. I was told it was uhaul policy for us to do it ourselves. I was also told that if it didn't start I could just keep going down the row until I got one started . I head to get my snow brush from my personal vehicle to clean it. Luckily the first one I dug out started. The gas gauge was on E , I was told that it's always like that and to put gas in it if I wanted to use it, this is also your policy apparently. He did get it unstuck for me however he did hit the uhaul truck parked beside mine twice up top at the back passenger side doing so. He pulled up to the pump turned it off and left. They were both very rude and condescending and honestly treated me like I was inconveniencing them by expecting them to do their job. I don't feel I should have to dig out, get running, fuel to get out of the lot and then pay to rent use a that vehicle. I am not an employee I was the renter who had to do their job for them.

Terrible customer service at this location. Awful. I was told I could drop the trailer off at any location in Calgary which wasn't true. The trailer electrical wiring was busted. The Break lights were flickering and amber lights weren't working (well, one was actually missing, I mean literally busted, and the other wouldn't turn on!). I had to pull over on the highway on my way to Calgary and fashion something to fix the wiring and keep the brakes lights from flickering at least. What a tense 3,5hrs drive that was. The representative at that location was incredibly rude and irresponsible for renting a trailer in that condition and giving false instructions. And he didn't hook up the trailer to my truck either as has been done at every other UHaul location I have been to. He just told me to go find a certain unit number and take it. It also took me over half an hour to get the trailer as he didn't know what he was doing.

The quote I was given on the computer and in person were not the same. I paid a gross amount more than I thought I would. I was told 51 plus mileage When it was in fact 76 plus mileage. My total bill was well over 300 hundred dollars. It was unexpected. When I asked for a day extension it was quoted 58 (estimate) it turned into 110 dollars. I never saw a break down of what I was paying It was all done on a phone by the attendant. My Master card an me were at the mercy of what ever I was charged. I was not happy with that part at all

Absolutely great service. Unfortunately the agent was unable to refund my situation. I shouldn't of had to pay anything due to the incompetence of u-haul as a business and the agent who just didn't care at the pick up location. As a salesman myself I stick to the rules of the consumer purchase act. And in all honesty I feel my "work" that I did for you should be paid for at a minimum 4 hour charge at $60 per hour, call it a charge back in a business agreement. I feel that you should pay me $240CAD. Seriously you need to figure something out and contact me. In my eyes that would be something I would do to show my integrity.

we rented a 15 foot truck but when we went to pick it up it had a totally flat front tire. We were in luck as there was a spare 26 foot truck on the lot and the excellent staff members there got us fixed up right away and did not delay our move for more than half an hour. I would suggest that a visual inspection of the tires might be in order. Also when I rented the truck I should have asked how big a truck I needed. for me to move from a bungalow that I had lived in for 26 years. a 15 foot truck would have been way to small.

Make sure the vehicle the customer books is WHERE they want to pick it up! That's so frustrating! AND - make sure that no matter who answers the phone, that person can help the customer instead of designating what office can help that customer. Over 2 freaking hours of MY time wasted trying to get the right office!!! So not impressed!

Extremely poor experience - booked a 6x12 encloses over the phone got a guarantee for a 6pm Friday pick up at a location 10 minutes from my house. Get a call Friday morning to confirm the trailer will be at another location 40 minutes from my house, whatever. Get to the new confirmed location and they don't have a trailer for me. Only one available was the next day at a location 60 minutes north of the city. Delayed my move by a valuable day. Kicker is, there's no remorse or reimbursement by staff, like this happens all the time...

Truck was dirty. Service was very slow, had to restart his computer and try different ways to get through the rental. Took over an hour to get my truck. Then was told my credit card wouldn't enter in his computer properly. And changed me an extra $100 for paying in "cash" even though I paid him with my credit card... not a good experience!

There did not seem to be accurate info between the central booking/reservation and this location. I booked with Central for 2 nights and 2 days for a 15' with tiedowns, a furniture dolly, & blankets. She was friendly and quick. When I came to the location, they seemed unaware of the booking but found it. They only had a 20', no blankets and no tiedowns. I did get a dolly. Staff at the location were friendly and efficient but we were both left a little puzzled at what happened regarding the difference in booking and what was actually available. Painless return process. Merci

We were required to drive 50 km out of our way to pick the truck up. This resulted in an additional mileage charge that we are not happy about, in addition to the inconvenience. There was an empty liquor bottle in the back of the truck, they only had 10/12 blankets that we ordered and there was mud on the floor of the driver's side.

I think it's crazy to be charged for a wheel dolly for 3 days when I only had it for 7 hours total. Almost 300 to travel 600km. Rented in the morning and returned that night
