You charged me a 25$ cleaning fee for returning the truck empty but for 2 empty cardboard boxes for you to recycle.........a really nasty move, like you need to hustle 25$ from people UHaul? Shame on you!!!!!! makes me never want to rent a UHAUL again......and for sure not dropping it a your location.

Daniel MWorker had checked me out prior to my arrival and charge on my VISA 3x what I had reserved. Later, I learned he had forged my signature. He told me he couldn't do anything and to call 1-800-gouhaul which I did before leaving the property and was told they couldn't do anything and a manager would get back to me within 72 hours. I then checked the lights which were not working and the worker had left the location. Prior to picking up the trailer, I had the electrical plug on my truck checked at the UHaul in Concord NH and everything had worked. I called Lighthouse Marine and no answer, so I had to disconnect the trailer as there were no working lights and went to the Southold UHaul where Brian was very helpful in cleaning my electrical plug on my truck. I then when back to Lighthouse Marine and hooked up the trailer and was able to get directional and brake lights, but not running lights. Having the worker forge my signature prior to my arrival on the contract is actually criminal, and hooking up the trailer, not checking lights and leaving before I could check the lights placed me in danger and is a significant liability for UHaul. UHaul did refund the overcharge.
Viking HNo one was there at 11 am. Called phone number not working. U-Haul on line drop off app sucks. Took half hour to do. Pictures took 15 minutes to load. Will never use self drop off again. If I can't drop off with person to person contact will not rent from uhaul

Catherine LThe online pickup and drop off experience was a nightmare. Took an hour and a half to pick up the truck. Had to drive a mile down the road twice to get a signal to sign in. Then parts that had to be done on location took forever to upload and had to sign in multiple times to make it work making me start parts of the process over. Wild never do this again would only do in person rentals.
Andrew QThe owner of the location was 30 minutes late so I had to wait for him to arrive. Then the vehicle that I had reserved was not usable because the brakes were bad so I ended up having to choose between an extremely large vehicle or one that was slightly smaller. I went for the smaller one which resulted in having to use another one of our personal vehicles to move what we were moving. We were able to do everything that we needed to do but it would have been a lot easier, less costly (we had to bring multiple vehicles onto a ferry), and more efficient if we had the size vehicle that we had asked for.
Nicole SNeither recommend nor discourage, but location was closed and locked when I arrived (I was 20 min early) and I had to call U-Haul to track down and summon the location manager. Had to rent a utility dolly at another location. Not a full-service U-Haul location so not being overcritical.
William DLocation was horrible. Will never use again. Staff was rude and would not explain why I was charged double what I was quoted online. For drop off, they were not there at hours posted to be open on their website (07:30). The location is in a dead zone for cell service and their location barcode is ripped in half so it cannot be used. This left me unable to properly do an after hour drop off. Left a message hours later to make sure they received everything ok and never received a call back like I requested. Zero stars

Samy SPick up was lengthy, there was no physical check of the truck, when I got into the truck the tire pressure was low in one of the tires and I was told the pickup location couldn't inflate the tire. That I had to go to a gas station and fill it myself.

eric dI dealt with both Lighthouse Marine Services and the UHaul regional office in sorting out the details of my rental. Both sets of people were good to work with and I'll gladly recommend them to friends who need trucks!
Peter PThe owner/manager of the location was not there when we arrived. The door was simply locked. No posted signs, nothing. No one answering one of the many phone numbers we could find on the store front and online. I was on the phone with U-Haul explaining to them that we drove 3 hours to pick up this U-Haul and we had a super time sensitive day as we had to get back to pick up our kids from day care. The lady on the phone was kind but didn't really offer much help except to tell me to drive to a place 30 mins away to get a U-Haul. Meanwhile, My husband found someone who was working in the yard in the back who didn't speak English but we managed to communicate with him and get a proper number. After calling 6-7 times, someone answered and was SO rude and told us he would be there in 5 mins. After 15 mins someone showed up and could not have been more impolite. Basically told me to shut up and said that either I wanted the truck or I could leave without it- he didn't care. It was SUCH an unpleasant experience. 45 mins after we got there, we finally had the truck.

Diana DNo cell phone coverage made it difficult to return the vehicle after hours through the app. Fortunately discovered free "emergency" wifi from Optimum - perhaps you could advertise this or promote your own free wifi to make returns easy.

Richard BThis place was good, but UHaul customer service and organizational courtesy is TERRIBLE!!! Had no truck for me and my stranded, pregnant wife in Manorville/Mastic Beach (where my reservation was) and had to Uber all the way to Greenport, NY to get this truck…once we got the truck everything was great but it took us 2 extra hours getting there and back…Andrew was the guys name who wasn't very helpful and his boss (Long Island, NY UHaul) were both just not very friendly people and most people I talked to over the phone didn't know what was going on or have any answers for me. I used UHaul this time, but I will never use UHaul for any more of my moves!!
Matthew GI was not informed when picking up the trailer that the uhaul location close to my destination would not accept return trailers, causing me to incur additional costs for ferry across and back from Shelter Island

DUDLEY JThis was my drop off location for truck and trailer. When got there the owner was sitting outside having a conversation with a couple of people told me to just leave the truck where I stopped and put it on the counter put the keys on the counter inside. Did not do a walk-through of the truck did not check for damages or see if it was clean or anything like that well I was there.

Frederick Bthe person at the drop-off location was sitting in a back room, (lights off) and didn't come out of the back room to the counter to speak with me. He just told me to leave the key. no paperwork, no confirmation. subsequently, i received an email of "not returned equipment" because the drop off person did not submit the paperwork indicating that i had dropped the vehicle off. Luckily, I had taken pictures of the truck in front of the drop off place as well as kept my receipt for the gas top-up prior to drop off. THIS DROP OFF LOCATION IS NOT A GOOD REFLECTION ON U-HAUL. The pick up location and the person on the telephone I spoke to about the 'not returned equipment' email were both really great. The drop off place WAS TERRIBLE.

DONNA W1. Location was unable to give me a contract to review or sign. 2.Location changed the contract from the reservation #25047305 that was ordered and confirmed! 3. My reservation #25047305 was for $266 + $51. 4. Uhaul charged my credit card $701.66...now fighting to get the difference back!
