I wrote "NO" for the well maintained because, the running lights on the right side of the trailer were inoperable. I had brake/signal lights. No running lights. The door was very hard to shut. It would, just not easily. However, the trailer pulled very well, I had no issues.

Marion Lumber was my 2nd pickup location. I dealt directly with the owner of the business, and despite the false start I had that day, he was very accommodating and set me up with the equipment I reserved. My original location for pickup was Universal Rent It All in Cadillac. When I arrived there at the 9am pickup time, an employee began to process my reservation. At roughly the same time, the owner took a phone call from a renter, and approved a return of some equipment for later that day, despite only being scheduled to be open from 9am to 10am. When the employee finished taking my info, and was linking my reservation to a location asset, it was discovered the equipment being returned later was my trailer. The U-Haul national office was blamed by the location owner, citing a 12pm return on the trailer was not unexpected and planned for all along, and that the national office sent me to their location knowing there wasn't a trailer available to rent at 9am. I found the whole experience with Universal Rent It All to be dishonest and not genuine. I would not recommend renting any U-Haul equipment if they or their sister location, Universal Rent To Own, are the local agents involved in the transaction.

I was required to sign the damage and fuel amount paperwork before I was allowed to check for myself. It turned out it did not have half tank of gas as stated, but I still had to return truck with half, and I did.
