Have the person who is handing over the equipment out there. All vehicles should be on full or they should see if it's not. The workers were not occupied with anything where they couldn't spare a few minutes to walk over and show them the vehicle. It was stinky and there was goo caked on the cupholders.

Customer service sucked at Morrison furniture were the uhaul was on arsenal street Watertown Ny. Also the left light of the trailer was out and I got pulled over. I should have a refund and not be charged but I know this company only wants money. I took your uhauls a lot and I never had a problem till this time around. I'm going to recommend to others if I don't get a complete refund back on all this that what happened. This really sucked this time around. Plz let me get a complete refund. Thanks

We didn't need the truck until Saturday, the 27, but had no choice but to pick the truck up the night before, the 26th, because Massey's doesn't open until 10 a.m. We were told to bring it back 6 or 6;30 but we received a phone call that it was to be back at 3 or 3:30. We returned it immediately, but we did not get done what we needed to. We have used Uhaul for years and this was the first time we were disappointed. Next time, we will go elsewhere.

The reception took 40 minutes to complete my details prior to checking me out. When I asked where the Uhaul was she replied, "I don't know". When I asked if there was anyone to help mount it on my vehicle, she replied, "no". The 8x12 was sitting in a ditch and too heavy to budge. I called Syracuse office as they relocated me to this office as they didn't think the court street Uhaul had an available 5x8 as I ordered. Against their wishes, the furniture salesman at Massey's came out to help me commenting, "He doesn't do this job and Uhaul is suppose to deal with it but I want to make you happy... I need help". He brought out the "boss". They had to pull it out of a ditch and attach it. I arrived at their location at 1:50 and left there at 3. Very long process. In 3 weeks I may need to rent another one. I may have to find another option. Staff were friendly but very UNUSERFRIENDLY location for a UHAUL to be picked up or dropped off.

Some of the customer service agents were not people friendly and could touch up on how they ask customers what they need.... didn't know "yes" was a way to assert a person coming into your business. Let alone smile some!

My reservation said I was to pick my moving van up at one location in Watertown and when I got there I was told I had to do it at another location in Watertown. That was a real pain, and seemed to me a very inappropriate and misleading way to run a business

I had made several phone calls to Sam regarding renting a u haul for the first time. Each and every time she was very helpful and friendly. I was never a bother to her. There was another lady in the office when I picked up the keyes. She assisted us in a couple of things. She too was helpful and friendly. The current mileage and gas level was wrong. The windshield was filthy. This is old furniture business that also rents Uhaul so it's an ok location to rent a small truck for local use. But if I needed a real truck to safely move a long distance I would definitely go to a dedicated truck rental location.

The UHaul representative was very friendly and accommodating. She made sure we were not charged for anything extra on our final bill. Very easy and quick drop off. Our overall move had many snags, but the UHaul part of our move went smoothly. Very happy and will be using Massey's Furniture Barn for our UHaul rental needs again.

When I first walked in I was greeted very rudely by the staff. After loading up my furniture I realized that I didn't have the key for the U-Haul engraved padlock that was attached to the door by a chain. Seeing this, I heading back towards my pick up location since it was on the way to the highway anyways. When I got there I was greeted by two employees talking on their cellphones and had to wait a few minutes while they finished up their conversations so I could tell them that I didn't have the key. When the man finally got off his phone to talk to me he persisted in telling me that U-hauls don't come with padlocks even though the key return on their building said "Don't forget your padlock key!". He went so far as to go outside with me and look at the engraved padlock and still tell me that a customer must have put that there, laughing as he walked away and said "Keep it under 100!" Well I literally had all my belongings in this truck and was planning on going on the highway doing speeds of over 65 mph, not really the thing you want to trust a flimsy latch to hold. Luckily I knew a guy at the business next door and he helped me out but I was pretty upset at the weird nonchalant attitude he had towards something I spent $150 to load and drive myself for 8 hours. I will only ever use official U-Haul stations from now on.

This location was not the issue, it is the company in itself that is the issue. I had originally reserved a 26' truck from the pickup location on 19153 US Rt 11 in Watertown, NY. Upon driving 4 hours to this destination to pick up the truck, I was told that I cancelled the reservation online 31 minutes after making it (which I made via phone, and never went on the website, period). The personnel at this location were smug, unhelpful, and said it was our fault. Upon calling corporate, we were able to get a 20' truck (from this location) and trailer from another location on US Rt 11 outside of Fort Drum. We were given 200 extra miles and two extra days at no cost due to our inconvenience. This was not communicated, clearly as I received multiple phone calls from the drop off destination asking why we had not brought the truck back on both Monday, and Tuesday. Upon getting the truck back to its location (3 days late) we were charged for five extra days instead. Again, there was no communication as to how the original problem was supposed to have been resolved. Since then, I was promised a response either that night or the next day from a manger - this was not the case. I was then told the second time I called back about this particular issue that it really takes up to 72 hours - this again was not the case. Finally, after waiting four days, I called again and was told that it really takes 3-5 business days before getting a response and I still had 38 hours on the clock. I was then put on hold for over 15 minutes and not told what was going on. Upon finally speaking to someone again, I was told that they had filed my complaint in the wrong location and the clock had restarted and I had to wait another 72 hours (or is it up to five business days) to get a response. This is the poorest excuse for customer service I have ever received, from any company. From the company itself giving away the truck that I reserved, to the constant lies, to the failure to communicate anything that had been discussed in the upwards of six phone calls is unacceptable.

My experience with Masseys Furniture Barn was great. However, my experience with Uhaul was poor. I made a reservation online, and shortly afterwards received a phone call from a Uhaul representative. She confirmed my request for a 14' Truck for pick-up on Friday evening and return Saturday afternoon. When I arrived to pick-up the truck, the lady at Masseys showed me a uhaul reservation that showed pick-up Saturday night and return Sunday afternoon. Because my reservation was pushed to the right 24 hours, my friends that were going to help me move could not make it, and I had to move everything myself. Needless to say, I had a very poor experience working with Uhaul.
