There are two location for McDaniels Storage. The one I found was on 280 with a HUGE sign that read "McDaniel's Storage." However the actual U-Haul drop off place was down the road further with an sign that simply reads McDaniel's. I found this out weeks later after not finding anyone at the drop off location office even when it said they should be open. If you come from the North on 280 you can easily drop off at this wrong "McDaniel's Storage." I called Uhaul and they did not say anything about this problem either when I tried to drop the Van off.

Make sure you take pictures of your gas meter and mileage. They charged for gas when I have proof it was not what they said.

I reserved and confirmed a 26' truck and when I go there the only truck available was a 20' truck...Not a big deal but when I got my bill I had extra charges for mileage that would should not have been charged, as I had to make two trips as a result of the shorter truck, not to mention more gas and I had to pay my movers for more hours...This was not my fault and I do not agree with the extra mileage charge as I told the location when I picked the truck up, that I would take the shorter truck, but should not be charged for extra miles if I could not make it in one trip as I had planned with the larger truck... Amazing!!!

Not a huge problem but we are much closer to Walls Uhaul so we had to drive 26 miles to pick the truck, drive it back to our house (26 miles) and then early the next morning drive right by it again.

First of all and most important, LET THE CUSTOMER KNOW WHEN THEY ARE NOT GOING TO RETURN THE RENTAL TO THE ORIGINAL PLACE OF RENTING THEY WILL CHARGE YOU TRIPLE THE PRICE. Even if the contract clearly states, “If not returning to original place of rental call the 1-800 number and let them know where you are returning it. Know where on the contract, 1-800 number or the person that rented it to me and the person I returned it to communicated that there is a triple charge for NOT bringing it back to the original place where I rented it. I rented a 12 foot cargo trailer in Alexander City Alabama and renturned it in Tuscaloosa Alabama. The price was suppose to be $38.00 a day. I needed it for two days. Simple math says that’s $76.00 give or take a dollar or two for taxes. Know one gave me a receipt, they said it would be e-mailed. When I got the e-mail my invoice was $224.00. I was blown away, called customer service, made a claim for a dispute. Three days later a simple e-mail came saying that they did nothing wrong and the charges were correct. I rent trucks and trailors every month from U-Haul and never had a problem. My job requires I do exterior and interior clean outs and the trucks are a nessecity for me. I didn’t feel remotely like a VALUED CUSTOMER. I was simply another number to them. My question is who would EVER pay triple for anything if they knew they have an option to return to the original rental location? I was never even told of the charges until I recieved the e-mailed invoice. The drive from Alexander City to Tuscaloosa was around three hours. I’m still blown away that I was taken advantage of and never told of this “triple charge” when I was renting it and returning it. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER AND I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSE WHERE FROM NOW ON. Check your rental agreements!!!!! Crazy thing is that it says, “ if your not returning it to the original rental place call the 1-800 and let them know where it will be returned.” KNOW WHERE IN THE AGREEMEMT DOES IT SAY “TRIPLE CHARGE”

45 minutes away when many Uhaul locations in same town i live in. Didn't have all equipment I paid for. Extra charges when i got there. Average 50 dollars more than quoted the night before!
