Mckeithen hardware were fantastic and everything they did was well done and professional. The issues were with Uhaul corporate and the websystem. I booked the truck via the uhail reservation system 8 months ago and among advised the day before that the location selected isn't open on Sundays, was then moved to a different location but was then told that they don't open till noon when I had truck pick up for 0900. Fantastic support by Vivian on the phone but extremely poor service overall by UhaulJAMES J.

UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BY UHAUL (excellent by McKeithens employees): I reserved a UHaul 3 weeks in advance of my moving day and specifically selected McKeithens True Value for its proximity to my location. However, when I arrived, I was told that my truck was relocated to Springfield, GA, nearly an hour away. I was never contacted by a UHAUL representative to approve this change, not by phone or email. Thankfully, the store manager was able to transfer my reservation and make it work, but if it wouldn't have been for their individual actions, I would have been completely stranded on my moving day without the truck I reserved nearly a month prior. They said that this had been a common issue customers were dealing withâ€" having truck reservations relocated with zero notice. This is truly unacceptable and reflects poor organizational management.Lauren D.

I always have problems with Uhaul whenever I needed to rent the truck for moving my stuff to different location and I am planning to not pay Uhaul ever again.Ryan M.
I thought when I dropped off the equipment the inside of the truck and cab were cleaned. However when the manager of the store showed me after he swept it it was dirty to include the inside of the cab when I picked up the vehicle the cab had dirt on the inside as well as the back I just assumed that it was OK to take the vehicle like that. But what I found out later is not all managers of Uhaul's check or make sure that things are clean prior to dropping off thank you to the manager at my drop off facility mattress goodnessDonald E.

The roof of the trailer leaked. I had a queen size mattress inside the trailer which got damp. In addition one of the brake lights did not work.Emmett H.

It took so long to do the rental paper work. Sometimes 3 people were behind the computer screen!They did not appear to know what they were doing! Also they gave us a trailer with left taillight out! Dropped off at night when they were closed. Charged me a cleaning fee. We rented many times before and have never brought the truck back dirty or been charged. The only item left in the truck was the cardboard piece that goes across the windshield that was put into our truck at pickup.Daniel B.

The site did not know how to resolve the mileage problem or give me a refund for the correct amount of pads used. Personnel there were unable to get the area District Manager for U-Haul to return a text or phone call. Checked back the next day and DM still had not responded. Girl helping me left Saturday to go home sick and was sick Sunday also. Someone at U-Haul needs to call meRICHARD E.

I went to this location after I waited 2 hours at other location for reservation that was not availableANGELA M.
The vehicle I rented again wasn't available. Your online system needs an overhaul. Its terrible especially when people are trying to move. They go to pickup the vehicle they reserve and the location never carries it. I just wouldn't recommend Uhaul. This is a repeated problem. Uhaul is NOT dependableJodi K.

You need to change your website. This is the SECOND time i have reserved a truck online at a location that was closed and I could not get the truck. I had already driven FIVE hours to this location to pick up the truck only to find out I couldn't get it and had to call Uhaul to fix the issue. The last time this happened I had to get a hotel for the night and they only reimbursed me the $50. It is unacceptable for this to have occurred a second time.Yuri R.

I had to wait 2 hrs to drop off the truck saying to me that the truck is not suppose to be dropped off at that location. I was told to drop off at any uhaul location and it turned into a big deal. It caused me to be late for work. They would not show me proof of trash items in the truck.David B.

The location was great but the reservation was not in their system and it took almost an hour to get the truck.ALBERT M.
When I rent the trailer for a one way trip, I was given a location to drop it off. When I called them before taking it to the location, they said they were full and could not take it. They said take it to Mckeithen Hardware so we took it their. They said if I drop it off their, U-Haul would add a charge for dropping off at different location. We drove another ten minutes to the original location and they still wouldn't take. We waited about 15-20 minutes while they called someone at U-Haul to get it change to Mckeithen Hardware. So we turned around and drove back to the hardware. When we walked in they took it but could tell they weren't happy because their lot was full too. I believe we got in between a pissing match of the two locations. All in all, it wasted about an 1 1/2" of our time going back an forth to return the trailer (in better condition than we got it). We were not happy... AT ALL. As far as the trailer. It pulled fine and all the lights worked.Shawn H.

Workers at this location changed my reservation twice. Both times telling there was nothing that could do to change it back. So both times I had to call the uhaul phone number and get traffic to fix it. I will say the people at traffic really help and where very nice. The workers at this location need a LOT more training.RAYMOND L.
I am a unhappy customer! The reservation was for 1:30 with Midgard Storage and no one showed up so I had to call and get another truck. Because we got started late I had to return truck to another location and it cost me double what I was quoted. Only gave four stars since I checked trailer in with employee who failed to close out my paperwork. I revived call two days later asking where trailer was! That was a little concerning but fortunately they remembered me and quickly identified the trailer where I left it with their employee. All was good and they got me taken care of and I will definitely be renting from them again in the future.Matthew M.
