HORRIBLE SERVICE. I scheduled a 24/7 contactless pick up for 8 am which ALL of my confirmation emails confirmed. When I arrived and clicked “pick up my truck” it informed me I had to wait until 9 am and had to speak with someone in person to get the truck. So after being an hour behind, they then had to scrape all the snow and ice off the truck (why didn't they do that the day before??) THEN the truck wouldn't start. The man working there got it started and I questioned if I had to be worried about the battery dang again and I was told no. and finally an hour and a half later than scheduled, we got our truck and left. THEN the truck died while we were loading it and it had to be jumped. Absolutely terrible experience. Terrible costumer service. I will not use this uhaul location again.

This location was fine however your phone service is terrible. I made a reservation for about of state drop off and was very specific about my needs and miles. I drove from Wisconsin to Illinois which was a 3.5 hour drive. When I arrived at the pick up location in St Charles is was informed my reservation was put in as a local return. I had to sit in his parking lot for around 30 minutes or so while he was on the phone with you people figuring out what happened. He then informed me that I had to drive an additional 30 plus minutes to carpentersville to pick up the truck at that location. on top of that when I was on the phone I was told that I could pay cash credit or check. I however was not informed that if I pay cash there's going to be an additional $100 or so deposit. so I didn't pull out enough cash to cover the additional $100 deposit and had to put it on a credit card that I was not going to use for this payment. When I tried to get in contact with a supervisor about my messed up reservation I was told that somebody would review it and I might get a $50 refund. I have heard nothing back yet from anybody at your company I'm about your mix up or even got an apology about it.

Although the location was not convenient for me (U-haul changed me to this pick-up location which was 40 minutes further away than my original reservation), Humberto at this location was AWESOME. He worked with me to find a suitable alternative since U-haul screwed up, and the truck that I had reserved was not available.

Checked in online as requested when I arrived my gps could not locate me so I couldn't get the code. Spent 30 min trying to get an agent on the phone-finally got thru they couldn't do anything but call the facility. The staff at the facility were not helpful! Return was also a hassle.

I recommend Meadowdale Performance Garage for truck rental and all my car repair needs. If not for them, I would probably not rent from Uhaul. Customer service is their specialty!

I was told by the man at the desk to drop it off in the back of the building and he would receive it. 2 days later I found out that he didn't and I was charged for an extra day that I didn't have it. I went to the place and called Uhaul. I'm hoping it has been taken care of.

Processing pickup from Mobile had issues On taking pictures its was reloading and showing error It took 1.5hrs to complete the pickup Pathetic experience. Verification agent was talking with multiple customers putting me on hold when needed. She should serve one customer first then switch to other. Because of the issue with pickup I had to cancel existing reservation 2 times and make new reservation at the peak time when I wanted the pickup. I dint get any call to confirm my reservation in advance. I want to claim 50$ reservation guarantee claim else I would never book with Uhaul in future.

We requested a pick up location in Huntley. Someone called and said that the Huntley location didn't have a truck and the new location was about 9 miles from the Huntley location. It was actually over 19 miles. Though I had put in all of our information in the system when I made the reservation for the truck, when we went to pick it up all of the information had to be reentered by their staff member which in turn took over 45 minutes from the original pick up time. Upon opening the rear of the truck we realized that the moving equipment that we had requested and paid for wasn't in the truck and there was no ramp. The original reservation was made for pick up in Huntley and drop off in Round Lake, when asked where we wanted to drop off, we were told that we couldn't drop off at that location.

Was over charged $40 based on my conversation via phone call. Also did not receive 6 furniture pads at time of pickup that I had requested during initial reservation phone call. Neither the fault of drop off location but rather 1-800 -GO-HAUL representives.

Make it easier online. I first registered online and I wanted to use my own insurance. But when I got to the store the representative stated that I couldn't use my own insurance. I didn't understand why if it would help me the customer out!

Don't change the location of the pick up. There is a reason why customers choose a particular location. Primarily to minimize the number of miles driven. So, by the location being changed it cost me more money in mileage. UHaul should move the trucks into position for the customer.

The uhaul app was not working correctly on 3/24. The employee at the location opened the location earlier than scheduled because he had had been notified that the app was not working. I was able to pick up the van at 8:30am. I was told at pick up that no one would be working Sunday 3/25 so if I returned the van by Sunday morning I would still only be charged for one day of rental. I returned the van at 7pm Saturday night (3/24). I just got my receipt and was charged for two rental days. I was unable to properly check the rental back in Saturday because I couldn't get your app to work.

I asked for a rental pickup in Lincolnshire, IL for 5 pm. I got a confirmation for pickup in Carpentersville at 3:30pm. That's 45 minutes away. I did not get a text confirmation that day. So when I showed up in Lincolnshire it was already too late for Carpentersville. I had to convince the owner to stay until 6:30 pm (they close at 5 pm) and change my evening plans to go all they way there (1.5 hours drive forth and back). It would have been much better if I'd get a call or a text confirmation. The email confirmation immediately after my online booking said pickup in Lincolnshire. The email the next day I did not check until 5 pm when I already was in the Lincolnshire Uhaul loacation. I was very angry.

I was told i went over the mileage (41 miles) when the place i dropped off my things was only 29 miles. Then i was not reimbursed for having more gas in the car than was given me.

For customer support, being updated with business hours with Lindberg Automotive in Lake Zurich. I was sent there but business was closed. I drove 40 minutes from Gilberts, IL to Lake Zurich, IL, then had drive back in the other direction from where I cam from another 25 minutes. Finally, after picking up the rental I drove to Wauconda, IL. I spoke to Sheree Ramirez who helped me have the rental for another day for free. Received a reference number in my email. When upon finalizing payment, I discovered our discussion was not submitted. I was told I could have another day free and to return the rental at 6pm on the 19th. I was charged for three days of rental and ended up paying for 2 days. Sheree Ramirez was not not able to get a hold of and my agreement was not followed through. Our conversation is recorded and I have email documentation of the places I was sent to pick up the rental. I had wasted my time driving to different locations. Was not able to finish what I had intended on moving due to weather with thunder storm warning and heavy rain. If I had picked the trailer at the first location (Lindberg Automotive) I would have finish my job on time. But had to spend Father's Day moving before and after celebration. Was shocked about being charged for the third day after being forced to drop off the rental during my lunch break because I had to speak to Meadowdale Performance Garage representative. Lots of miscommunication with 1(800) go-uhaul customer service with me and other uhaul venders.

I had a truck reservation for 9.A.M. No One Even Showed up to the location until 9:15 A.M.! On top of that, I had to stand there for another 5-10 minutes while their computer started...The Employees had quite and attitude and didn't even apologize for arriving so late. They just threw the paperwork at me, gave me a key and said "it's in the back, go get it"....Absolutely Awful Customer Service! I would NEVER go back to this location and would certainly never put anyone else through that stress. Moving is difficult enough without getting attitude/ poor customer service from the Uhaul retailer.

The computer system was down and I had to wait over an hour for a truck. The truck was supposed to be available at seven and I was not on the road until ten thirty. I was set up to pick up the truck in Dundee, but there was no truck available. Very poor experience and I will not be using u-haul in the future or recommending it to anyone.

The person that picked up the phone was rude. He kept on talking over me and did not allow me speak, I dropped off the truck after hours and left the key in the drop box. I just wanted to know if what I did was ok. I called to let them know that I had left the rental truck there. And if the drop off was ok. He said "Yeah, we saw it. We'll send you a bill through your email!" What!!! I thought all I had to do was drop it off

When I got to the location 9am the sign for hours said open at 8:30 the store did not open until 9:10 the owner said sorry I'm late I have a personal life also.Finally at 9:30 I signed for the rental was given the keys, I had to ask where and what unit number and was told outside and key has unit #

U Haul did not make the initial pick up user friendly. They had the truck pick up at one location and the car hauler at a 2nd location. The owner of Meadowdale was fantastic by offering to go an get the truck for us from the 1st location. This is in my opinion a major mistake by Uhaul corporate. Thanks to Meadowdale Performance Garage for the customer service.

I dropped the Uhaul off after hours and was directed by phone by a staff member on what to do for dropoff. Somewhere between the key going into the dropoff box and inspection, the fuel level allegedly was lower. This location charged me for fuel on my receipt where they alleged that the fuel level was below the F marker, which it was not. This resulted in 7 dollars being fraudulently/incorrectly charged to my credit card. The low amount isn't worth the trouble to dispute, but I will never return to this particular location again and would drive as many miles as necessary to bypass because of this. I've rented from Uhaul on twenty different occasions and this is the first such event I've had like this. The is the first time I have dropped off at a non-Uhaul Hub and will likely be the last.
