The only suggestion that I have, which would have been most helpful, is that the vehicle should have been cleaned off, as it snowed 4-6" that day and the truck was snow covered. I used my arm to remove most of the snow and had to walk back to the pick up location and ask if I could borrow a broom as I could not remove the snow from the windshield. Luckily I picked up the truck when the location was open, otherwise, I would have been driving the truck with a majority snow covered windshield, which is unsafe. Other than that, the truck was in perfect condition and the person I deal with a Mike's Automotive, was very helpful.

AL MThe location was a typical mechanic. It was very run down and dirty in the lobby. The person working the desk knew what he was doing, however it took 40 minutes to pick up the uhaul and would help other customers in the middle of processing our request.
Randi MCheck out took at least 30 minutes. Not sure the fellow could even see very well.Could not answer basic questions. Had reserved furniture pads, but he had none but could not figure out how to remove them from the reservation and in face charged me $1 + an environmental fee of $5 -- wasn't worth arguing with him about it. Had to run to another U Haul location to get pads, adding even more time to the move. The key did not fit the drivers door. Truck had what sounds like a bad wheel bearing and was blowing hot air on the drivers leg the whole time.
Daniel SMy experience was quite horrible. I go to pick up the trailer did the early check in and nothing was quick. Then they had no moving blankets that I requested. Overall I wasted an hour and a half of my day. Not happy with my experience

Thomas Cthere was a hole in the floor of the truck that I rented. this was disclosed to me but I still think that UHAL should not be renting a vehicle with such a hazard in it. this hole is big enough to fit a mans entire foot. I got the impression that uhal is not fixing the issue per the request of the rental facility on more than occasion. they made it sound like this was an ongoing issue.
bonnie sThis location was a car maintenance shop and UHAUL rental center. The environment was loud and made it hard to hear the gentleman that was helping me. I was given a truck that I had to use the key to open from the passenger side door because the key did not work on the driver's side door. I also had to return to the shop because the mileage that was documented on the paperwork was lower than what the truck was showing. The gentleman that helped me wrote down the error and assured me that I would not be charged for the difference but of course that was not the case and I WAS charged for miles that I did not even put on the truck. I would not recommend this location for UHAUL rentals.

CARL JThe trailer that I was told on Sunday would be there to pick up was not there. They had to substitute a larger trailer which I did not want. We had no choice but to take it. He had to drive 45 minutes to there and then they had to dig out that larger trailer as it was behind a bunch of other ones. Disappointed in that time wasted.

PAM FCharging me twice is not a great practice. Once upon pick up and again on drop off. I would understand for the difference for miles but not the whole thing twice. That tied up money on my card.
SAM SThe guy had no clue I was coming. He had no clue how to check me out and had no clue what information he needed to enter into the system. He didn't even know if he had the trailer or where it was. I seemed to be bothering him by showing up. After finding it, he hooked it to my truck and tightened the ball latch. A mile down the road, the trailer came off the hitch. He never tightened it down. I now have to have my truck inspected to see if the hitch or frame is damaged/useable. When I went to return the trailer, the shop was closed and he never told me that nobody would be there. I backed the trailer next to the building and left it. I will never rent from uhaul again after this disgusting experience.

AL MUHaul called 2 days before my scheduled pickup to tell me I had to go to Mikes for my truck and auto transport because my preferred location did not have what I needed. I had picked up a truck at Mikes a few years earlier and did not have a good experience and was reluctant to return, but it was the only location nearby that had both items. I specifically asked the UHaul customer service person if they would have the blankets, furniture dolly and hand truck I also reserved and was told they did. I was told to pick up my truck at 4:00 on Saturday because the location was closed on Sunday. UHaul said there would be no charge for the early pickup. At 11:00 am SAturday morning I got a call from Mikes that they closed at 12:00 and could I come now to get the truck and trailer. Luckily my schedule allowed this. When I got there, it took almost 3 hours to get my truck. The location did not have any blankets, dolly or hand truck. I had to go to another location to pick these up. I decided not to take the auto transport that day and return Monday morning for this. I called them to ask that they have this ready for pickup and they assured me it would . When my son arrived, the trailer was still buried in the back lot and he waited for again for this. I like UHaul but go to Crystal Lake location. They are more organized and efficient. I won't rent from UHaul again if I have to go to Mikes Auto.
THOMAS VI live in Crystal Lake and having to go to Wonder Lake to pick up truck was about 30 minutes away; I consider this misleading as you advertized having a truck available in Crystal Lake

MICHELLE SI did an after hours drop off and it was unclear where to drop the truck and trailer off as there were no signs indicating where to do so. I had to unhook the trailer in one spot and park the truck in front of another business where the other trucks were parked. I called the next day to confirm that everything was ok and the individual who answered was not very helpful and told me to call back later. He was more helpful when I called the second time but overall the hassle would make me choose another location in the future.
