I was given an Arizona truck with summer tires to go through the Rocky Mountains in winter. Pretty sure this was illegal as winter tires are required by law in British Columbia. I didn't notice the tires until too late but luckily the roads were clear. The truck was dirty, not swept out and still had a trailer car dolly attached which I had to unhook. The staff were simply gas station workers and didn't look at anything except the mileage and gas level. No washer fluid and the check engine light came on part way through the trip. Obviously no pre trip service was done and this location should not be a u-haul dealer. Finally, I ordered 48 blankets but they only had 3. Lousy experience.

Customer service was lacking, wasn't able to pick up U-Haul in desired location so had to travel to pick up a truck, the truck was dirty and wasn't able to upload a picture of the box, also didn't get confirmation that they accepted the truck when I dropped it off the night before it was due to be returned. Awful service.

Uhaul broke down half way on the trip. Major transmission problems. Ww were stranded for 2 days. New uhaul was dirty and only had 1/4 tank of gas, but I had just filled up the last one. Uhaul hired mechanics to move my stuff to the other uhaul and they couldn't fit all my stuff in. My dad had to fill his truck and drive 12 hours round trip to get all my things to the destination. The mechanic/movers did not pack stuff well and things were broken. Boxes opened and things all over the uhaul. I dropped off the uhaul with 1/4 tank of gas and got charged for gas. 100 % would NOT recommend or use Uhaul ever again.

I was very disappointed in Uhaul after not giving a credit for returning the trailer 2 days (42 hours) early. I picked up a 6x12 trailer in Kamloops on Thursday morning at 9:30 and dropped it off at the Shell gas station around 3:30pm on Friday. The Shell had no other 6x12 units to rent, which meant that potentially someone could have rented it that day. How is that fair and justified that I could potentially be paying for someone to get use out of the trailer that I am still paying for??? Double dipping by Uhaul? The week prior, my girlfriend rented a 6x12 trailer in Kamloops and returned it a day early in Prince George and received a $60 refund on the unit. Not impressed at all with Uhaul or the staff at the gas station who spoke very poor English and failed to acknowledge why I was upset. Will definitely be spreading the word if nothing is done about this. Kevin

I ordered the car puller to be in Quesnel at the same time as the U-Haul but it was not had to drive to Prince George one hour and 15 minutes each way at my cost I don’t feel that I should’ve paid the same price when I had to go pick up the trailer

There was confusion about where we were supposed to drop off the trailer. The number and location we were given said they did not deal with uhaul. This should be reviewed by the company. It was an address on Chilako drive

Check wipers to make sure they work properly. Seems like the thermostat is not working on the truck Service truck more frequently, especially when the customer is going on a long trip. Ensure the car transporter has working lights. Both car dollies at the first location were were not fit for transport.

The location we ended up getting our rental from was good however, the original location we were booked at was a terrible experience that ended up costing us extra time and money and we were very disappointed in our overall experience with U Haul. The original location we booked with did not open when they were supposed to on our rental day. This left us stuck without a truck for an additional 2+ hours until we were able to rebook with another location. This cost us extra in fuel as well as in having to pay our hired moving help for an additional 2 hours. This also set us back on time, which is important on a moving day. It was a very frustrating experience.

The truck was not cleaned inside, was on empty, and they were all in snow. I was told that if I cleaned it and put gas in I would be credited, but the gas credit was far less than I used. The staff was kind, but not very helpful.

The trailer I rented was covered in snow and ice. The safety chains and power wires where frozen to the ground in 3 inches of ice. After I dug out the trailer and got it hooked to my truck I had to repair the wiring harness.

Do not bother renting dollies or blankets because they don't have them. Best bet is to make sure you have your own supplies.

The persons who rented the unit to me were unprepared and seemingly didn't know how to do the check out process. There was no walk around of the unit. The unit came with less than a full tank of fuel. There was nowhere near the amount of moving blankets I requested. Then there was the truck itself. When you started the unit all you can hear is exhaust leak. All you can smell is exhaust leak. After some further inspection I find the exhaust manifold is cracked and pouring exhaust our under the drivers feet. This is in no way safe for people to drive. While my wife was driving behind me she noted the tail lights were flickering like mad whenever I would brake or signal. The headlights were dim and poorly aimed making them next to completely useless. Thankfully most of my driving was done during the day. The windshield wipers were so worn out they would barely wipe the big wash off the windshield. When climbing hills there was a loud squealing coming from under the cab , not the engine most likely transmission. The cab was dusty and had spilled drinks of previous renters on the floor. The exterior was filthy with dust and a thick coating of bugs all over the front. I did not expect to have a brand new unit to drive across the province but this thing should be retired and put to scrap , I was incredibly lucky it survived the trip. I am so unimpressed with this rental unit and location I would recommend they not even remain open.

The price quotes online should match when a person calls to make a reservation. If a discount is given to a customer, it should be honored. If it's in question then customer service should have access to recordings Immediately or other staff members qualified to do so.

The drop off staff was rude and made me feel like I was bugging him with my questions. I never used their services before and I wanted to make sure I completed my end of the contract. But he snapped and seemed bothered that I should have questions dropping off equipment and just leaving it there. Other than that I was very satisfied with uhal's service and would use it again if needed.

The branch doesnt release the unit until 9am but from your website i was able to book 8am. Either change the branch schedule or disable the time earlier than what theyre told to entertain customers. Its not the employees fault, its the management. I had to wait doing nothing just because there's a procedural error.

The whole uhaul customer service and experience was stressful from the day i found out I couldn't tow with my explorer. Then the day before moving I got a call saying I would have to pick up the trailer out in Bear Lake. Then I was told both truck and trailer would be at Gauthier..... No truck there so I ended up driving back across town to Hands On for the truck then back again for trailer. Although Pitt Meadows drop off location was not marked well the service was much more pleasant and helpful.

The truck stunk of cigarettes - it would be nice if trucks were no-smoking. I'm not sure why I got billed for 2 days, when I returned the truck (after store hours) on the same day as I took it out.

The lady behind the counter is the same one I had previously who had no clue what she was doing. Finally she asked someone else to help while she then played on her phone. Mind you this is after the 1st time when she refused to let me drop it off because it was after 5 pm and their paperwork said we could return it at anytime and had to videotape her admitting to not helping me before she finally would.

Reserved uhaul for 8 am pickup, was confirmed for self pickup when the uhaul rep called the day before. When I arrived at the location at 8 am the pickup instructions said I needed to wait until 9 am for hand delivery of the vehicle. The uhaul representative was late arriving to work. I did not receive the truck until nearly 9:30 am and lost out on 90 minutes of my reservation and moving day.

Make sure the units are clean. the unit I rented was not clean! I could smell cigarette smoke and marijuana when using the air There was no tie down for the dolly. Oh and just as a side note. my original pick up location was in Valemount. When I arrived there was no truck!! (that was one hr. drive) I then had to drive to Prince George 3hrs. to pick one up. then another two hrs. to get home NOT impressed :( I was offered 50 for my troubles. Really????

Trailer looked good and well maintained but previous customer must have used it to move animals or hay. It smelled like a farm. Had to bleach the trailer before using it.

I had called in reserved a truck ahead of time, upon arriving I was told the truck they have for me has break issues. I got a second truck instead, it wouldn't start. Got a third truck, it ran, barely. It had no windshield washer fluid, and the maintenance was lacking on it too. The trucks seem unsafe and not kept professionally, I will not recommend this location to folks I know needing a truck.

They said the tank was full when we picked it up. We drove only 14,3 miles yet when we topped up the tank when we returned it, we had to put in 14,9 litres of gas. We thought that was a bit excessive.

Because of the location, I am assuming that this is not a real busy spot. We chose this because it was close to our loading point. We hoped to be hooked up and gone shortly after 9am. The operator was late getting there. (according to the attendant this is normal).. It was almost 9:30 by the time we left. The trailer was parked in a "snow bank" and I had to pull it out to be able to check the running lights. As I never plan to go to Prince George again, I hope a comment would improve things with their next customers.

The little trailer that I rented is in bad shape lights didn’t work and the box itself was falling off I mentioned it to them upon return he told me yes he knows but rent it out anyway ??

Nothing wrong with the place storing the uhaul, typical under-trained gas station attendant. The problem I had was with uhaul itself. They had completely changed the contract when I went to pay for it and pick up the keys: adding days, and removing milage and almost doubling the price. Had to spend almost 45 minutes sorting it out on the phone. Bad form to change somebody's contract and hope they won't notice.

The truck was in poor condition with high mileage and had not been cleaned inside in a long time.The location is adequate but not well setup to have the uhaul business running alongside the gas station/store. The trucks and trailers are parked in a dirt and gravel area buried in snow and mud which makes getting at them and trailer hooked up challenging of the weather is bad. Overall disappointing experience but unfortunately there is little else for options.

13 years ago we had a brutal experience with Uhaul but decided to let them have another chance, maybe the quality of the service has improved. NOPE. Still the worst company I have ever dealt with. I feel bad for the kids working at the gas station representing this business having to take the heat. Why would you give me a 3/4 full tank and tell me to return it with 3/4 tank? How am I supposed to know from the outside of the truck when it's 3/4 full? Fill it a little then go in and check over and over? We overpaid $60 which is just annoying but enough to remind me to always go with Budget for a moving truck. I learned to not bother contacting uhaul customer service from past experience. No more chances.

I had original booked a truck for 8 am and then was told I couldn't pick it up till 11 am. When I got there to pick up my truck they told me it still wasn't there and there wasn't anything I could do except take a smaller truck. I had only one day to move and had to get started so I took the smaller truck meaning I couldn't move all my stuff. Overall the employee at the MR G Shell was really polite and good but the uhaul experience was definitely not that good.

After dealing with a very friendly rep in barriere and then getting a call first thing in the morning or morning from the dealer in prince george asking if we're able to bring the truck in earlier before noon even though we'd only pick the truck up the day before in barriere and I said we have it until Monday at noon got a little attitude from them I guess they must have needed a truck then upon return representative in Prince George doesn't say Hi how are you how was your drive how was the truck anything like that just took the keys punch the number to the computer said he'd be back in a minute Come Back Inn for some of my own moving pads and said they were his after I told them they were mine he finally agreed after checking on the computer that they weren't his all-in-all I wasn't happy with his personality to be working with the public he needs a little bit more people skills anyway after dealing with the barriere person and having to deal with this Prince George person they were two totally different styles I guess I was spoiled with Shane
