I had to drive around to four different places for a truck and there was no communication or anything. That should be communicated I didn't get a truck until an hour after my reservation because the location kept changing as I was driving to the one that was in the app and that was terrible.

And he did not want me to call him friend. I had the worst experience and I felt his customer service was too poor to be serving the public. His temper was so short and I told myself I will never go back to this location .
SIMBA SThe boost gauge (on the pillar) that indicates fuel efficiency did not work appropriately. The air conditioner did not work; the fan would blow, and the air seemed cold. But even with open vent, the air did not come out. The van was a bit gross inside (leftover used napkins, etc.), which was not noticed until we checked in and left. I would not rent from this location again.

Brad JI rented a 15' truck to move my daughter who is attending college in Birmingham from one apartment to another. This was July 2024. When I got there the guy inside the gas station was too busy talking on his phone to be bothered. He seemed a little confused when I said I was there to pick up the truck that I reserved online. Eventually, we got it straightened out. He handed me the key and I went out for the truck. The truck was very nasty on the inside of the cab, trash in the cupholder, and on the floorboard. Torn seats. The back of the truck had not been swept and it looked and smelled like someone had been hauling hay or grass. Also, the truck had a miss and the air conditioner wasn't working. I picked the truck up around 5pm on a Friday and returned Saturday afternoon at 12:30pm. When I returned the truck, again the man behind the counter was too busy talking on his phone to be bothered with me and motion for me to put the keys on the counter. Days later, I got an email with my bill and I owe way more than I should and after looking at the bill, I realize they said I didn't return the truck till after 6 PM Saturday . I called the 1 800 number and filed a dispute on the bill. About three days later, I hadn't heard anything so I called back. The lady on the phone told me that this place said that I had returned it late and that another customer was waiting on it and they had to give a $50 credit to that customer. I informed the lady on the phone that that was incorrect that I returned it at 12:30. I put gas back in it at the gas station so I had the receipt for gas with a timestamp on it and I took pictures of the odometer and the clean truck returned. Those pictures had time stamps as well which also stated 1230 on Saturday. She was able to get me a reimbursement for what I was overcharged. I would not recommend using this U-Haul dealer.
John MThis is a self drop off which was unexpected as the 6x12 trailer is heavy the lot wasn't level as in it slopes towards the tow vehicle and trailer rolled into my truck. Wheel chocks need to be available for this location and something to assist taking trailer off tow vehicle. I won't suggest a self drop off if I had know this would be the case. I'm not used to this from Uhaul especially having to take pictures after it's dropped off the app crashed so I don't k ow if the return finished processing. Not happy with drop off.

Kandi EWhen I rented the trailer, the agent told me it was around back didn't offered to help me hook it up or anything. Tell me when I was done bringing around front where you could take a picture. There was someone in back furniture wraps in a U-Haul. She help me hook it up. When I returned it, it was pouring down rain. The same agent told me just take it back and leave it where I got it from and that I would have it email sent with the contract. so I had to unhook it by myself and roll it up where I got it from and I left. I've read many U-Haul's and never had this kind of service. That's why I a U-Haul store, but they did not have the motorcycle trailer.

Danny DThis location was Great and understanding when we couldn't return the U-Haul the day it was due back. The location on Valley in Homewood AL where my Mother rented a Unit gave her wrong information. We stayed up all night because of this. My Mother is 74 years old. Her code was denied access so we couldn't move her belongings into her Unit. We stayed there for an hour and a half and received no help. The manager was very rude and condescending to me. She hung up on me the first two times I called her cell phone number that was provided to me by Corporate. Something needs to be done about this lady.
