I made a reservation at 2480 skyline Blvd (10/1 8pm). Two day before the reservation, someone called me to confirm the reservation. However, I went to the location 2480 skyline blvd on 10/1 to pickup the truck, the guy who works there told me he did not have any reservation at that time. I checked my Uhaul email. It did show the location 2480 skyline blvd. After I clicked the link to Uhaul website, it showed that the pickup location changed to 47 cambon dr. I DID NOT ask for or agree to change the pick up location. And also the person who called me did not tell me about the changes. This is unacceptable. I heard a lot of negative comments for the location 47 Cambon dr. That's why I tried to avoid renting Uhaul from this location. However, this is another negative experience.

While the guys who ran this location were friendly and helpful, especially when I called later in the day to possibly extend the rental of the truck for one more day and they agreed, the cab of the truck was dirtyâ€"had dried mud on the floor. Didn't want to put any bags on the floor. I'd make sure the trucks are somewhat cleaner.

I rented a van that was on empty. when I Told staff they said go get gas on my own. when I was driving to the gas station the van stopped 1 block from the rental site. When I called the site I was told they could not help as the only rent the vehicls and that I needed to call a 800 number. They transferred me to roadside and when I called was told gas would be brought in 90 mins I was inconvenienced a lot this is horrible service.

the van was dirty and the tank was empty

The equipment was clean. It was a new 2022 can with 3000 miles on it. The AC did not work and I was traveling to Nevada for 12 days. This was not the locations fault. I did contact customer service the same day to let them know about the AC not working and I was sent to 4 locations to try to get it fixed. 2 out of the 4 locations were closed mid day and 1 was a construction site of a U-Haul being built. They finally sent me to a third party repair shop at 430 in the afternoon after I had been driving around in the 100 degree heat for close to 4 hours but that shop needed to hold the van overnight which did not work as I needed to leave at 5 am the next morning. I would have thought U-Haul customer service would have known which locations were open or would have switched out the van. I was told I was going to get a refund. The refund was a measly $50 dollars. 12 days with broken AC in Nevada was no fun. I think more than $50 should have been refunded.

The van had graffiti on the back. The seats were covered with dog hair. The front of the store had a homeless person out of control who has blasting the loudest music I've ever seen a boombox have and the person was getting into anyone's face, myself included coming into the store and the representative stood there doing nothing. Worst of all, the representative was confrontational and threatening me. He said that I had reserved a 26ft truck in Oakland when I fact I never did, I only inquired about it. But I also inquired about other cars. When I asked him about his rental availability, he was extremely condescending towards me giving me a look as if I had just asked the stupidest question he's ever heard. But worse than that, he was extremely disrespectful, rude, and threatening. When I inquired about the service, he asked where I was headed to. I mentioned my hometown and he was questioning every decision I was taking as if he had to know exactly my private business and my use of the services. I just wanted to move some furniture. When I told him the town I was headed to, he made me threats that he will "make sure to charge a really big fee" if I didn't return the van on time "because he only had four cars available" and didn't want to be down one. I thought his language was abusive of power and rude. I would never go back to him. If he has talked to me this way as a person who stands up for myself, I wonder how badly he has treated others who never spoke up. I hope and wish he doesn't use this service to retaliate against me in any shape or form as he has access to my whole address and personal information through the photo he took of my photo ID and I will report to the authorities if I need to. Employee working when I picked up vehicle was EXTREMELY RUDE, CONDESCENDING, AND OBNOXIOUS. HE BASICALLY BERATED ME FOR BEING LATE TO PICK UP VEHICLE. I TOLD HIM THAT HE WAS BEING RUDE AND UNFRIENDLY, AND HE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS MY FAULT BECAUSE HE HAD TO EXPLAIN THE RULES TO ME.

Please respect every customer as they have booked the storage and paid the same amount as other customers. No one deserves the corner's storage, which the area is half of the normal one. Would appreciate it.

The link that was sent to my number for me to "return a rental" didn't work and I was charged a fee. I tried the link multiple times, and even tried to call, but they were closed by then. Pretty frustrating, but overall, the truck we rented saved us tons of time.

Get a better truck inventory management system to avoid reservation mix-ups. This was not the location I was supposed to drop off my truck up at. I originally reserved a 15 foot truck for mobile pick-up at the Cotati location. The Cotati location does not have mobile pick-up so customer service routed me to this location. Don at the Santa Rosa location resolved the mix-up. I ended up with a 10 foot truck that barely held my furniture. For some reason I couldn't drop off the truck at the location I originally reserved on Bryant.

The vehicle was not in its correct location making it difficult to find. The vehicle did not have any fuel, gas light turned on immediately after leaving the parking lot. The brakes did not feel powerful making it feel unsafe to drive.
