The car was stolen from a North Carolina location and delivered to Louisiana. I picked it up in Louisiana and did a one-way to Florida. The driver seat door was broken. The car would only stay in third. It would not switch in and out the transmission is messed up and the front right light blinks constantly will not stay on steady. Very disappointed. Could've caused an accident and I have pictures of everything. Also, it was not clean up to standards. There was smoke all in the car and on the windshield on the inside. I had to clean it out with Windex. It was not ready to be released. If you look at the history on the vehicle, it was stolen from somewhere and they found it and they put it out on to be rented and it should not have been rented. Very sad. Very poor could have had a horrible accident. Luckily I did not , but it was not up to safety standards and code for cleanliness and maintenance
Tera JMy overall experience was truly a WOW & AWESOME experience from the initial setup @ Hearne/No Market in AM shift & the pick up @ Jewella in Shreveport,La at AM shift on Oct 7th and dropoff/storage @ Lamar in Memphis,Tn at PM shift on Oct 8th. Every single employee (Jerrie, Tyler, Gentleman on Jewella, Kyshon, Anlya) encountered in person & phone was very friendly, articulate, professional, courteous and thorough. The staff & quality of the equipment made this MY BEST self MOVE, EVER. I left the UHaul store feeling so much PRIDE, becase MY PEOPLE exemplified ALL the qualities you want and need during a very stressful time from start to finish. If the staff goal was to make my move less stressful and unforgetable, they were on point. I have been a repeated UHaul customer for 46 years. I HIGHLY recommend UHaul to others. Sorry for not getting gentlemen on Jewella name. I am former military spouse with horrible move experiences from other companies.
Dorothy WIt's a very small facility with few moving products. The woman who checked me out was very nice but didn't seem sure of what she needed to do.
larry rThe receptionist was extremely slow checking us out to get the 4 x 8 truck. We waited for than her to get the truck. He was inexperienced and slowed with the computer . I believe everyone deserve chances at the job, however it shouldn't take more than an hr to check out a truck. The "manager" refused to give military 10 % discount, he stated we needed to go back where the the store, the place where helped us booked the reservation. However when I was at the first store, when I checked with the discount, the girl told me that I needed to tell the location where I pick up the truck and then they will apply the discount for me. The owner or manager was rude and impatient. I am not upset not getting the discount, I was upset their delay and unprofessional service. We have always considered u-Haul as our number 1 truck rental place, the past two months we have used u-Hal for more than 4 times ( both my wife and I ), this location was the worst experience and U-Haul was disappointing.

Eboné SJust make sure that the gas in the truck is exactly what it says on the paper. The paper said it was more gas, but it was actually less gas.
Sharece CYou still show a dolly rental fee on my bill when there was no dolly. I have already called twice and asked for the fee to be removed. Not sure what else to do.

Malik PThough the floor of the van was clean, the console was filthy with remnants of spilled drinks and other nasty stuff and the ashtray was full of cigarette butts.
Patrick QI rented 2 furniture dollies and a hand truck. Neither was in the vehicle. So I had to Uhaul's job and track down and find the stuff I rented. Couldn't pick up the vehicle at my scheduled time either. The Uhaul app wouldn't let me check in and when I called I was on hold for 40 minutes. I hung up when the employee of this place got to work. The people here were late getting to work but friendly.

Travion BI answered the rating of the overall location as excellent because of the contact person Johanna! She easily facilitated my contact and rental. She represents u-haul with the highest of professional ethics and conduct deserving of recognition. As to the equipment, it was clean BUT NOT MAINTAINED! I logged 12 miles and I replaced 2 1/2 gallons of fuel. Lousy gas milage! From front to rear this vehicle needs to be re-evaluated. If I had rented this vehicle for any distance, because I believe it is not road worthy, I would never left the lot and looked for another vender.

Victoria NThe rental agent was arrogant and unhelpful. It was raining and never offered help or walked outside to see if I got the rightequipment . Rental agent was more concerned with letting me know about her authority and position. The front door was locked and I had to stand out in the rain until she showed up. I have not yet received my deposit and no one will return my calls. 318-464-1454

dexter mIf you are renting the truck for 30 minutes to haul some furniture to "Goodwill", and you are going less than 10 miles. The mileage charge should be waved. PERIOD! I told your clerk I needed the truck for just a few minutes to drop off some furniture. I asked for a break, and none was given. Shame on your company. Signed a retired ARMY Veteran!!!

Liz AI bought a lock from the pick-up center that would not work on the truck lock. I would like to return it to a center near me. 77381 zip. Can this be arranged?. The reservation was first made at a center that had no vehicles at all. Went to the second location and they didn't have furniture dollies. I now have 2 I bought from Lowes so won't be needing one in a couple of weeks when I possibly rent again. The truck was fine. I over fueled it by about 10 gallons. Shouldn't there be some sort of adjustment for that as well as the unusable lock??
Chris RNo one called to tell me that the equipment was not available were I had booked to pick it up. I had to go to the second location after going to the first one.

JONATHAN CThe representatives did a good job. The problems began when the engine light came on and all power went out, after pulling over the vehicle started right up. The defective vehicle caused me to miss my return time by 15 minutes ( this problem happened 4 times). To add insult to the situation my credit card was charged for 3 days when I had the vehicle for 4 hours and 15 minutes. On site manager only told me that " That's the way it is sorry." BAD RESOLUTION SKILLS. Had to ultimately call corporate, as of this review no solution!!!!!??

Ronald SWhile returning the vehicle, a mistake was made on the amount of fuel recorded as being in the truck that I did not realize until we had already ended the transaction and exited the building. When I realized what had happened, I returned to speak to Erica (I believe this was her name) about what had happened, and she was extremely helpful and apologetic, explaining that she had made a mistake, but since the transaction was already closed I would have to call customer service to get the charge reversed. Erica is a 5 star employee, and I'm not upset at the mistake - I'm in customer service, these things happen. However, the older employee who came in the middle of our transaction (may possibly have been a manager, only distinguishing feature that comes to mind is a blue Margaritaville jacket) was incredibly rude the entire time, telling me that the charge was not for fuel when it CLEARLY says fuel sales and fill-up service fee, then trying to tell me that the fuel was correctly marked on my receipt, even going as far as to walk to the truck with me and look at the odometer and try to tell me it wasn't a quarter tank, and when that didnt work, she actually tried to tell me that the fuel was at a quarter tank on the receipt when it is very clearly below an eighth. I'm not sure if the woman was completely incompetent, or was just trying to scam us out of $60, but either way she has no place in customer service. She raised her voice to talk over me multiple times while trying to "explain" the charges as overages for exceeding the base miles - which was the complete extent of the bill I paid, so this doesn't even make sense. If not for Erica this would have been a completely horrible experience. She was extremely professional and courteous throughout the entire transaction.

Laurelle KI really enjoyed my experience at this uhaul location. However, the customer service a the main uhaul location on Hollywood avenue was so terrible, I elected to not rent the available tow vehicle from them and instead chose a location further away from me in order to be treated with respect. I actually had a representative call me a liar at the Hollywood location. Never, in the many years I've rented from U-Haul, have I ever been treated so poorly. Absolutely inexcusable and unprofessional behavior.

CHARITA TIf a reservation is made online for pickup and drop off location, this information should be known to service people when you arrive. They appear not to know what you are picking up or dropping off location. Why waste my time asking online if the service people don't know.
