It was very easy to return the truck and keys.
WILLIAM MMy 10-foot truck was upgraded to 15-foot by UHaul when 10-foot was not available. This was supposed to be a free upgrade, but it was processed as a 15-foot rental. The SafeMove insurance was also not offered as an option but was just added to my bill without consultation and I didn't realize it until I left. The dolly & furniture pads I had on my order were also not available at this location, which the desk person said they have tried to tell UHaul.com many times but they still let such be added to orders. The location is fine, but it is a beat up auto shop and very smoky.
Jeff DWhy did U-Haul have me drive past the location in Swansboro to go to this location? I had to search to find someone to help me, and was then told they would check the truck in later.
john bIt seemed more like a junk yard. The drop box was not a secure drop box. I did not have a good feeling leaving it there, but if course dropped it in there with others that were there.

Chris Bpicked up the truck with no gas, made it up the street got gas (87 unleaded) made it 4 miles to my destination, loaded my storage, headed back, made it about 3 miles before it completely died, leaving me stranded in the during lane, it was over 2 hours before they dispatched a tow truck, the driver was very nice, but the people/person from U-Haul was very short and rude, completely miserable experience, without even so much as an offer of reimbursement for my trouble.
Allison SThe trailer lights didn't work abs we didn't use the trailer. We paid $133 and only got a refund of $62. They didn't act like they knew what they were doing and the place was a junkyard.

I asksked when I rented the truck in Georgia what would happen if I couldn't turn it in in time and was told I would have to pay a little extra, which was fine. This Peterson guy bitched me out cause he had rented it. Not my fault

STEPHEN TRemove uhaul from this location They are shady ! Lier's! And dishonest! ! The owner told he replaced the straps and what he did was hide a torn strap that wouldn't work with a car on it ! The trailer also had damage on it that was not previously not their and was gonna stick me with it if I didn't video it and take pictures of it ! This rating is also going on Google and Yelp so other people don't get stuck like I did
Paul SThe people at Peterson's were not very helpful, the place is dirty and disorganized. The attendant didn't even know if I would receive a refund by turning the trailer in early.
John PIf there is no truck available- email/text/call the customer to let them know. Don't just let them show up after y'all had already moved the reservation to another location and there STILL be no truck available. A call to Tony ended with getting us a truck all the way in Hubert. Ed Peterson was very nice and helpful at the pick up location.

douglas oOnly concern was that the drop box was not locked. I was concerned if the key was stole after hours that it would come back on me.

So I went on line and did the turn-in on line to be certain i was credited for turning in the trailer. BRF

DYLAN VThey just took the keys, didn't want the paperwork, didn't check the fuel level, didn't check to see if we had returned the dolly, didn't check the truck for damage. I wad kinda worried they would charge us for something after we left the lot. I've never had a return like that.

Our two other rentals were online pickups only and took us forever to get thru instructions. ......but at Peterson's she assisted us inside on the computer then came out and showed us how to hook it up and twist the chains . THE BEST ***** five stars plus !
Monica GThe location I wanted to use in Swansboro was closed due to family emergency and sign said return unknown The operator that answered my call on Sunday- was not very helpful and said I had to use the location in Hubert NC IT was a scary looking garage in the middle of nowhere- there was a sweet young man in the garage ( who looked 12) Whom ending up taking my key - but said it would have been fine to just leave it in a unlocked box. I did not feel comfortable with the idea So he took it I would not wish to use this location again

William Wthe ratchet straps on my car dolly on the driver side would break loose even when installed correctly I did not notice this was happening until my first stop and noticed that the webbing that traditionally goes out and around the tire had popped loose. Upon further investigation when I would drive across a bump in the road and the weight of the car would come down on the trailer the ratchet being Rusty and unserviceable would break loose causing only one side and the chains restraining the vehicle to the trailer. Luckily I had cargo straps heavy enough to route around the rim of said tire and was able to restrain the tire to the trailer there for keeping the car securely in place. This added frustration involve my travel time to exponentially become longer.

James RI was overcharged on mileage! I have a photo of the mileage when I received the truck and it was 7592. NOT 7570! I know it is only 21.78, but that is a LOT to me! Please Correct! There was a big burn hole on the door too, which I also took a picture of and I took it back with more gas that when I left! I am very upset. Some one best call me soon! 540-908-7973

James SThe entrance/driveway is really in need of repair - getting in was difficult with the truck and near impossible for a sedan that my ride back home was driving. It was hard to locate the key-drop box. I get that this is a transmission/auto place primarily, but it just wasn't a very comfortable after-hours drop off experience.
JONATHAN WI was emailed the drop off location. It was thirty minutes from my home. I PASSED THREE U HAUL LOCATIONS ON THE WAY. Why could I not have dropped it at one of these three? My drop off location had no answer for that question. This was an automatic transmission repair shop. Really !

john mContacted someone by phone. I was told to drop off the trailer on the hill with the rest and they'd check it in and email me the finial receipt. Guy on the phone seemed like I was bothering him. Figured out where they wanted it and dropped it off on a Wednesday afternoon. Waited about 24 hours for the receipt and when I didn't get it I gave them another call incase I didn't do something correctly. Got another gruff 'we'll check it in and send you a receipt.' That was Thursday. On Saturday morning after still not receiving a receipt I called the Uhaul main number. They followed up and I got my receipt. Shouldn't have been that hard.
