It is time Uhaul in Canada fix their website to reflect the fact that we are on a metric system we do not use miles but kilometers and we use liters not gallons. This makes your receipt confusing and inconsistent with Canadians. Thank you for your time and attention.William W.

The people who provided the van doesnt care about customers. They gave us the dirty vehicle and at last they tried to scam us by claimingbthe money to clean the vehicle. They are very rude. Your app and online self check in doesn't work. What I was trying to do was avoid talking to anyone. What I had to do was sit on the phone for 30 mins to be told to go in and just talk to the person. If I can avoid using U-Haul for the rest of my life I'll be a happy manBrian P.

Tried to get extra $50 from my driver upon return. Confronted and shown gauges. Laughed and said he was kidding. Liar. After drop off your employee refused to let my driver wait inside the store. I was extremely disappointed that when I returned the van and shared with the employee that the person before me obviously did not fill up the van because while the gauge showed full and I was told it must be returned full, The individual did not offer any remedy or even apologize for the situation. Here is what I shared with her happened. When I filled the tank for what was a 36km rental I had to fill up 13,41 litres ($23,05 cost) to make it full. I'm not an expert but your site states: What is the gas mileage of a 9' cargo van? Unleaded fuel Fuel tank capacity: 31 gal. Miles per gallon: 16 mpg 13,41litres for 36km of travel amounts to 7,6MPG (see below) so either there is something seriously wrong with your vehicle or I paid for gas I didn't use. Either way I'm not very happy about this situation. I do have a receipt for the gas and a picture of the pump both have date stamps so you can clearly see the issue is not mine. I would like Uhaul to address the fact I ended up paying more for my rental than should be considered "Reasonable" due to false instructions that I needed to "fill-up" the tank Trip: 36 kilometers Fuel: 13,41 liters L/100km: 37,24 L/100km = liters per 100 kilometers Equivalent Fuel Consumption Ratings MPG US = 6,32 MPG Imp = 7,58 km/L = 2,69 L/100km = 37,24MICHAEL R.

They said there was half a tank in the truck but there was only 3/8 of a tank. I forgot to take a picture for proof and I got charged extra for returning it with "less fuel" and pretty sure I got overcharged in general but the guy didn't email me the receipt like he said he was going to and he was very rude. We ordered furniture covers and a appliance dolly, neither of which were present at the location. Having to find an appliance dolly last minute during a move is rough; moving without it sucked. The truck didnt have a light in the loading bay. Moving things out after it got dark was difficult without light. The side mirrors on the truck would not stay in place. I had to adjust them every 10 minutes to properly lane change... Overall, not very happy.Joseph L.

The person at the counter barely speaks any English and being very rude and pushed me out of the store when I asked him where is your lock box. I selected the mobile return the truck and arrived at the store location at 10pm. I was searching for the lockbox based on the instruction on the phone for 30mins left center right but they didn't have one. I had to drive another 40 mins back and forth to return the key in the morning. The guy at the counter told me that they don't have a lockbox I have to return the key during regular hour. Wasted my time and the store should not be allowed to be an authorized uhual dealer. I will request a charge back on my credit card. It is laughable how they even have a store front for business.Shane L.

Was only allowed the truck rental for 8 hours and had to have it returned because they don't have a night drop box. Was not given option to return the truck in the morning. IF POOREST WAS A WORD, I'd use that FOR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE at this location. TERRIBLE! The lady who sits there is rude and accuses her customers of not cleaning the vehicle and not refuelling to the correct level and what not. Argues with them. Threatens to charge extra for no reason. Does not want to listen to the customer and see picture proof or reason with them. Communication is bad. They don't have things ready. They didn't inform me that I had to ask them to give me the dolly I paid for already. In a hurry to get to work, I forgot to check with them about it and they didn't bother to tell me either. Very very very bad customer service. I started off my day with such bad treatment and being accused for something I hadn't done. Pathetic.Komal B.

Booked appointment 1 month in advance, only to arrive BY PLANE at the date of pickup to be told that my "truck" is only available in another city. Absolutely unacceptable. Not only did I not get the vehicle I needed but I had to wait longer at the airport to try and figure out what I can possibly do. Spent a lot more on gas and added stress due to the size of the new vehicle not allowing us to go underground where we needed for unloading. Absolute horrible experience from uhaul and hope that they are willing to make it right.zak U.
Started out booking through the website and everything seemed to go as planned. That was until I recieve a phone call saying the truck won't be ready till the next day. Emphasized to the worker that I needed the truck the night before, hence the late pickup. They scrambled to find me a 15' truck in the city. They were able to find one and stated they would set up the reservation at the new location. Upon pickup at the new location I needed to provide all details over, as if I never even made a reservation. This went hand in hand with the terrible customer service. Everyone except a person renting a truck takes priority, they walk in and buy a cola, you get put on hold without any notice. If the phone rings, well you better just sit tight and wait, cause they completely drop anything they were helping you with to answer. Employees are rude and not personable, and they give minimal direction or care to renting you a truck. This will likely be my LAST encounter with UHaul if I can help it because of this experience. I would honestly rather run around a random parking lot asking strangers to help me move, or if they had a truck to borrow with less frustration then this place.Parker K.
