Concerns over U-Haul privacy practices - photographing drivers license and having to give additional contacts details. Probably won't use U-Haul again for that reason.

Phillip MOur overall experience was just ok. We were able to accomplish our goal of moving our things. Employees were very nice and the location was what we needed as far as mileage to and from our storage but other than that I probably wouldn't use this place again. If you're intimidated by dogs I would definitely avoid this location as they are loose inside and not happy when people come in. I just stayed away from them and they didn't bother me but made me a bit nervous. When we picked up the truck we were told "the check engine light is on but you should be fine. " Not what you want to hear when you're traveling over 100 miles with a 20 ft truck full of stuff. We didn't break down so that was a plus but the truck sounded like there was something wrong with it as it made a very loud whining noise when excellerating on the gas.

Jack BRed is a good guy he just take to long. The stuff I rodered was in even in the truck or at the store. Also he talked me into switching my on line order to a store and I really wich I would of know that it took as long as he took. Put me an hour behind. also the dogs barked mostly all the time. Over all he is a pood hard work person, the truck was in dood condition. Je's kind of to laid back for me I had to be at work and had people waiting for me. Nothing was ready.

MAURICE EThe Cell Service (Verizon) is AWFUL. using the U-Haul app is a huge challange. Ended up tethering to companion's AT&T phone to complete the work. I would strongly suggest Red get a WiFi set up and advertise it on wall near Key Lockers for U-Haul customers. (Not for nothing if Red needs advice on such things they he can contact me.)

Jay DMake equipment available at the location you picked when ordered online. Had to drive half an hour out of my way to get a trailer, then take an hour out of work to return the trailer to the same location. The excuse I got from costumer service was all the trailers have been taken out of NY, and have not been returned. Which is an horrible excuse for a company this size.
Eric BThe only issue I had with uHaul was: I am located in Penn Yan and had to pick up my rental 15 or so miles out of my way. I was charged that much extra for mileage because there were no vehicles at my desired location. I don't believe I should have been charged the amount I paid due to lack of rentals.

Francis DReds Auto was kind, pleasant and friendly. The Uhaul was clean and I was offered and told about all services and products. I'd recommend Reds to friends and family. However, I was very less than satisfied with Uhaul and never again use them. I paid, in the end, nearly 600 for renting your truck and could not even have it for 24 hours. I was renting it early one day but was expected to have it back by 530pm. That rental cost me more than my monthly mortgage and had to rush my move, exhaust myself and didn't have time to get everything I needed to move, moved. Then I was charged extra for a dolly. Charging 700 for a rental then having to pay 7 more for a product that should have been included is extremely petty coming from such a large company AND, remember, I wasn't even able to keep it for a full 24 hours w/o having to have paid for ANOTHER day. Uhaul should be ashamed of themselves for taking such a chunk of my hard earned money. Pitiful. I will NEVER use Uhaul again or recommend anyone else use them either. Sincerely, Janet Arnold
