I had a very unpleasant experience at the U-Haul location. The staff was unfriendly, racist, and rude. The representative asked me inappropriate questions about my religion, nationality, and even my personal life. Although He showed respect towards white customers, not those of other races. When I noticed that the tire flat alarm was on, I asked for another truck, but he declined and insisted that there were no other vehicles available, even though there were other trucks of the same size at the location. This made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable. Overall, this was my first experience with U-Haul and it was unacceptable. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Truck smelled like it was used to haul fish. Nauseating. Bought 6 packing blankets and 3 of them were wet and unusable. Fortunately, they have promised to give me a refund for those. We'll see.

When we drove up, we noticed the entire front of the mini mart had bars on the windows. I know it isn't their fault that the neighborhood isn't great, but it was still a bit sketchy. The gentleman that helped us was friendly and quick to process our pickup. He was very helpful. But it seemed strange trying to talk to him with beer dispenser levers right in front of him. The back of the truck was not swept out, so we had to sweep it out before loading our things. Not a great look for the U-Haul brand.

Terrible customer service at every point. Phone representative got dates and times wrong when booking. U haul moved pickup location the day before and still didn't have the truck size we requested at that new location when we arrived, nor did they have the furniture blankets we booked. They offered to have us go an hour away during morning rush hour traffic on moving day to pick up the size we had ordered. Customer service was rude on the phone when I called to ask for alternative when the smaller truck they gave us couldn't fit our items. They offered to a $50 credit but didn't give it to us. They charged us for an extra day of rental and insurance charge that we didn't use. Just straight up the worst.

The agent was angry and incompetent. Swore repeatedly about "f*!#% U-Haul". Truck had 3/4 tank of fuel at checkout. Charged us surprise charges at check in that he couldn't explain. He had "no training" and "no access" to the U-Haul info. Worst experience we've ever had in renting a truck - and we only had it for 4 hours for a local trip!!! We will be disputing our overcharges. Such a scam!!!!

I went to 4 locations before finding one that had an auto transporter. Did not receive a copy of my invoice. Was told it would be emailed. Therefore I did not know I was being charged for supplemental insurance, something I would have declined. Overall a miserable experience.

The person at the store was yelling at me, why didnt i call him before i reach there. Also he was yelling F*** U-Haul, i don't have space for your truck and the trailer. I already have 8 trucks at my parking lot. There was a customer in his store yelling racist comment. I felt really insecure and scared. I felt like when would i leave the keys and store. Hope no one experiences this and being an immigrant i was scared with the racist comments. I wont recommend this drop off location. Also i pumped Gas before drop off i dotn know why he charged me 17 dollars.

There was a leak in our Uhaul which was a big inconvenience, but other than that everything went well.

Shut this location down. The guy serving me kept complaining that "it's not in my job description to ask the address where you're moving". Then, every time some junkie came in to buy lottery tickets the service guy would ignore our transaction and sell lottery tickets. Finally, the service guy told me I was a half hour late for my pick up and that I was lucky it was still available, adding that he had nearly had a fistfight with a customer. Oh, and finally, I had scheduled my pickup at Ballard, only to find out less than a day before that I would have to drive 20 miles away to Rocky's Market to get my rental.

I showed up right at 7 am when I was suppose to be there and the store was suppose to be open and the front door was chained locked closed and all the lights where off I waited for 15 minutes and then walked to the coffee stand and ask the girl working there to see when the store opened and she said it should be open but the guy is extremely late to open the store every day I waited over 30 mins for him to show up to open the store !

It's quite bizarre actually. You show up, unhook the trailer yourself, wonder if there's anyone around, walk into a front door of the establishment and there's literally nobody to be seen. It's honestly like something out of the twilight zone.

I will admit our mistake. We did not call before we arrived. I miss that on the contract. For that, I feel badly. But we were charged a $75 late fee because we dropped off the truck after 9 pm. We chose this location because the U-haul website said it was 24 hours. The clerk was rude and definitely not inviting. The location is not great either. We will not use U-haul again.

I usually get my trucks at U-Haul Kenmore. They are professional and trucks are clean. I've used Rocky's several times when I can't get a truck and really dislike going there. Shouldn't be dealing U-Hauls at the corner convenience store because it reflects negatively on UHaul

It was a struggle to find a close drop off. My drop off place was Rocky's Market in Kenmore, WA. The man behind the counter was not happy that I was there to drop off the uhaul. He said I was a day early. I informed him that I told uhaul that I was dropping this off on Sunday. He was mad because he's only allowed two uhauls. This was not a good experience. Too far of a drop off, an hour away - unhappy worker. For the record, this guy was irritated with Uhaul but took it out on me.

The van I rented was filthy and smelled of urine . When I brought this to the location owner's attention, he said he know of the smell, but didn't offer any kind of reimbursement or apology. Instead he told me to contact U-Haul to address these issues. I was under the impression that whoever is renting the equipment is responsible for ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the vehicle. This absolutely was not done. I would like to request a refund, at least in part.This is probably the only negative U-haul experience I've had over the course of many years of being a customer! Extremely disappointed.

When a technical problem with the Uhaul order happens, please provide help line for the cashier. He was very helpful, but needed U haul to complete the transaction and maybe a helpline for him would have been good!

The facility was overbooked and had no vehicle for me even though I had a reservation. I also waited in line 30 minutes for them to tell me that. The guy helping me call the service line and they found me another location 20 Mi away that had a single unit. That worked out

The stench of human piss cooked in an oven was in my clothes on the bus ride home. It made my lungs burn, and I missed work today with a headache. It would have been a perfect rental if not for the drivers seat area drenched in cooked piss. I was disgusted to learn of the other body fluids on surfaces my teen daughter sat on. I had to spend the same amount of money individually for the delivery of the furniture later in the week 6/15/2023 on a work day in addition to renting the UHaul to pick up the furniture on 6/10/2023 Saturday.

Not a location issue, A Uhaul corporate issue. Update your systems! Reserved in Kirkland location, was called and told we had to pick up at Rocky's but could return to Kirkland. Took the trailer back to Kirkland and was told that they can't take the trailer and had to go back to Rocky's. Rockys didn't have us (in your system) returning the trailer there. It takes longer to check in/out equipment than it does to check in for a flight or rent a car. MAKE IT EASY, it's 2023!! Should take 2 minutes and a license and CC validation!!!!!!

Understaffed like all Uhaul locations - slow service Didn’t have 2nd dolly we had pre ordered Had to drive to Everett from Kenmore as that location had no truck ready for us (again reserved) Had to pay more for a larger truck that we didn’t request but it was the only one available as we had movers scheduled (via Uhaul) and we wound up paying for an extra hour of their help just because we were delayed getting our truck which had nothing to do with us Charged fuel even though we filled tank same as given to us which was nearly empty Truck smelled like cigarette smoke in the cabin upon pick up and when returning the truck to the Kenmore location, the cashier was rude, cranky, impatient, and unprofessional

I've rented twice from here in the last week or so. Internet connection is abysmal here. Once for the store and the cell phone they use. And once for my personal phone. Uhaul store locations need reliable internet connection to do the check-in properly and timely.
