Location services were unavailable for our pickup (app or location issues), and emergency call to U-Haul resulted in hold of 30 minutes plus before I hanging up to avoid losing our mobile reservation pickup window. I called Rusty's directly (speaking with Rusty) and he immediately checked for a tow driver in the area, sending him over within 10 minutes. The gentleman had to completely enter our contract as we were a mobile pickup, but did so with patience and graciousness. Incredible customer service response from Rusty's Towing. Wish I could say the same of U-Haul.

I have problems with billing over charges for items I Had requested but were not provided, but the situation was resolved completely and satisfactorily through a refund of the over charges.

I was supposed to rent from Herndon, then Fairfax, then Culpeper. 61 mile drive each way was a big hassle. Trailer had soil and mud on the floor.

I've picked up uHaul's at Randy's towing for a while now and decided to go here again because I've never had an issue and have always had good customer service. Well.... this time I decided to use the 24/7 online service as I needed a van on Sunday when the office was closed and through how wonderful and convenient to do everything through my phone. The advertisement made it seem like such a seamless process. Wrong. Took me three hours to pick up my rental and that's after being on hold for at least an hr and a half with uHaul. I never received the code to pick up key even though online my reservation said I was good to go. I will be very, very hesitant to use this service again.
Make sure reserved Moving equipment is in Truck . Couldn't fix issue when I am picking up before business hours through mobile app.
I was very angry that my reservation was cancelled due to me not answering the phonecall. I was driving and do not have Hands Free. I was glad they were able to rebook me into a van instead of the truck, but my trip was almost ruined due to this cancellation.
Open no later than the scheduled opening time. There will always be several people waiting in line.
The check in process was horrific! My reservation was cancelled and then it took us over an hour on hold and then getting help to resolve the issue. A thunderstorm was coming in as we were standing in the rain trying to complete the process. we would have been done well before the storm if my reservation had not been cancelled. Not happy at all. BUT Ruth that completed my reservation over the phone was fabulous!
Nnothing, rusty towing was very much accommodating to my needs and I will definitely be coming back if I need any type of moving equipment

Noticed next day I was charged $10 for a moving dolly and blankets which I did not receive or use

The trailer had what appeared to be large clumps of grass in it, other than that everything went great. What you could do to improve your services would be to make it possible to secure the trailer to the vehicle.
Maintenance on the trucks
Don't charge me for a dirty truck when I returned it clean I see I was charged 106 dollars for returning the truck dirty I was cleaned.
Rusty's Towing is always professional and equipment is always available at the time of pick up. Excellent, convenient location. Will do business again.

I said yes above - but returning the vehicle, after hours (2:00 pm), was tedious. Not Rusty's issue but Uhaul's procedures. All those photos! And I had to pay a $20 fee for returning it at 2pm? Makes me want to find a different rental place. That's why an average rating.
Truck was dirty both in the cab and inside the truck. Have truck to me with 1/4 tank of gas. I had to put gas in the truck as soon as I got it so I could get to my destination. Unfamiliar with the area, this was very stressful and unnecessary. Truck struggled when shifting gears. It would be helpful to have at least 1/2 tank or more in the truck when initially renting to a customer or acknowledge that the gas was low and make suggestions to the next gas station. In addition, disclose the approximate mpg so a customer can estimate how much gas to put in when you leave it low. I left more gas in the truck than what I was given and therefore taking more money out of my pocket. Not appreciated.
I was charged twice for packing pads that were returned in the original packaging. I feel a refund of $20 is due to me.

Long delays due to Coronavirus precautions, but everyone was friendly and it all worked out just fine.
Stay open later on Saturday
The gate was messed up and I was told after that it had been. I called for days with no response to try to take it back and then got charged days over what I had and used it I can't no I am able to drop It off after business hours unless I am told. Then shit down all weekend so how could I call to take it back.

Overall very good but lot was somewhat full when returning truck.
Door needed to be oiled! Very difficult to open and close. Otherwise all was good.
It would've been nice if the back had been swept out. Great overall though.

Difficult check in when uhaul is closed. Locked the truck and left the key; Sunday September 29th@ 4 pm. Left the 6 pads in the cab!! Order # 96046475. Thanks Frank
Truck was ready for pick up at the confirmed time. The truck was well maintained and easy to drive. No troubles.
Ac in the truck did not work at all, only blew hot air. Truck didn't seem top have much power, whether in haul mode or not, it had very little acceleration
The Uhaul App pick-up process took 30 minutes.

This location was great, but what I had a problem with was reservations. I called and reserved a 20' truck at Manassas Park. The lady on the phone assured me that one was available. Then I received a text telling me I had to pick it up in Culpeper, an hour away from where I needed. I called back to customer service and they told me one wasn't available and that I needed to wait until the morning and call Scheduling. Next morning I called scheduling and they said I asked to pick up a truck Culpeper. Why would I drive an hour away to get a truck and have to pay for all of the extra miles. They then transferred me to Customer Service, who then said that they showed that there were trucks was available at Manassas Park, but that they had a hold on them and I needed to call them directly. I started calling them at 8am, and for the next two hours and it went directly into a recorded message that I was told means that the local uhaul place wasn't picking up. How can a local place not pick up a phone for 2 hrs on a Saturday morning. I understand they are busy, but they usually have 3-4 people working, how can no one pick up.
