Maintenance the trucks more regularly with higher mileage; not just regular minimum oil change maintenance. The truck I drove has some serious transmission issues that will soon become transmission failure issues. I've driven Uhaul trucks in worse condition & better condition. I was surprised no engine or transmission dashboard lights were on; but I wouldn't be surprised if the lights were tampered with to stay off either though.ZACHARY K.

I was told when I rented my truck, I would have a â€œpreferred drop-off locationâ€ sent to me in a text. I told them that I would be dropping it off at a location close to my home I was moving into later that day. They said to call that specific location prior to dropping it off to make sure that they weren't full and could accept the truck. I said okay. I was sent a text with a location that was 20 minutes away from my house (not the one I was planning on dropping off to which was roughly 5 minutes away). I called the man that rented it to me, I called the location I was planning on dropping it off to, and the man that called my phone at work and left a rude voicemail saying I would be charged twice INCLUDING reservation guarantees for two other renters because my truck I rented was not dropped off at their â€œREQUIREDâ€ location. It said in my contract to drop off the truck at the location stated in the contract. It also said if dropping off at a location different than the one listed in the contract (there wasn't one) to call the drop-off number. I did so. There was not one listed BECAUSE I told them I would be dropping it off at a location closer to my home. It is not my fault that your company is incompetent and your communication skills are sub par at best. I will never, EVER be using this company again. And I will never refer you to anyone. I returned my equipment in the allotted time period at the location provided to me. I just received an email stating the truck was returned to Madison, AL on today and have already been charged again. I paid 1 299,24 when I picked up the equipment. Today I was charged 832.BARRY K.

Everything was very good except for when I was finished at 4:00 in the morning and I was turning the truck in. I was ready to go to my new home because I was beat down from everything that I had moved. And before I could leave the parking lot I had to take pictures of the cab, take pictures of the back of the truck. I understand why it needed to be done but that was the last thing I felt like doing at 4:00 in the morning. Also, I feel like 0,79 $ a mile is a little steep but luckily I was only moving 11 mi away and had to make two trips.Terry B.

I have rented many uhauls in my life and overall had good experiences. This move was a little difficult due to no ramp on the 10 foot truck and the appliance dolly we got was broken and really couldn't use due to no ramp. I didn't realize that there was no ramp until I went outside with employee to look over the truck. I did ask her if she had a larger truck that had a ramp and offered to pay the difference. There were 3 other larger trucks on the property but I do understand that they were already taken. I was upset that I had to drive 25 miles one way to pick up the truck, most of my money was spent on the 50 $for miles. We are building a house and moving in with family until it's completed, we are storing everything in our current house and will need to rent another 2-3 trucks. I am unsure if we will rent from uhaul again as there are three uhaul truck providers within 5 miles of my home.Celetta C.

Person on duty had absolutely no idea we were returning a trailer that U-Haul had asked us to return along with our truck. The place where we picked up the trailer didn't know we were picking it up and the place where we dropped it didn't know we were dropping it. I tried for 10 minutes to Share my Location (in the rain...ugh), but couldn't share it even after making sure location service was on and even after tapping â€œShare My Location,â€ within the app on my phone. The truck I rented was on site before the return time, but my phone did not let me share. As a result, I had to pay a 20 $convenience fee. CHECK YOUR PHONE before you leave the site to make sure you're able to share when returning after hours.Nanette C.

Please work on the â€œShared Locationâ€ functionality of the online Return feature. It took me 28 minutes and numerous attempts of trying to use the online Return feature which resulted in a failure to connect. Two different devices were used to ensure that the problem was not caused by faulty equipment on my part. Furthermore, several attempts were made to contact the Service Department via phone to get the issue resolved, but after several minutes of waiting the phone calls were disconnected. If not for this issue, I would have scored the company an Excellent rating.JOHN C.

After realizing a feature I wanted wasn't on the truck I reserved she went back and adjusted to put me in a larger truck and didn't even act irritated by the extra time it took. What I didn't like was the process to return the truck after hours! Please consider providing free guest WIFI for those who don't have unlimited data on their phones.
