Took one hour to get the vehicle. There was only one person at this convenience store and he had to multi task in a big way to take care of convenience store clients and my truck rental agreement. It was totally ridiculous. Very inefficient.steve S.
I had reserved a ten foot truck along with an appliance dolly. Upon Arrival, I was told that there was no appliance dolly. He offered me a utility dolly but I told the gentleman at the counter assisting me with the reservation, I needed an appliance dolly since I was moving a fridge. I asked if I could pick one up at another location and he told me yes but to pick up the truck from there as well so I wouldnt have to make two contracts. When I left and went to the other location, I was told that there was no ten foot truck for me to rent. The gentleman at the original location never checked to make sure there was a truck there. By this time I was already 30 minutes past my reservation time. I called customer service and they said to go back to my original location to pick up the truck then go to the second location to pick up the dolly. When I went to pick up the truck, the truck was completely dead. There was no power at all and would not start. I went back into the store and after 10 minutes, they gave me keys to another truck. The truck was not filled half way with gas per contract either. I notified them of this and they said "if you arent going far it will be ok." By the time I had my truck and dolly, I was about 2 to 2 1/2 hours past my pick up time. It was an extremely frustrating situation for me, especially since this was the second time in about 2 months that UHAUL botched my reservation. I have always used UHAUL for my moves, however I will be seriously considering other companies from here on out.Paris R.
This is a busy gas station and only one person working so though the transaction didn't take too much extra time, it was a very chaotic experience. My contract was changed by the employee even though I told him exactly what I was using the truck for. And he forgot the rental blankets, and I forgot as I was frazzled and in a hurry. I highly doubt he was going to leave the cash register unattended as I did my walk around and gas and mileage check myself. The Uhaul team at the Poway location and the area regional manager made everything right and they were very helpful sorting out the issues.Eric B.

All would have been well if the incompetent attendant from the main Uhaul facility in San Bernardino hadn't arrived and interfered with the electronic pickup. I was delayed for half of an hour because he had to drive elsewhere to get the keys. When he returned, he discovered a set of keys were already at the Mini Mart. Then he refused to give me the keys even though I was on that screen in the app. on my phone. He couldn't find the reservation on his computer, so he told me I couldn't have the truck. When I insisted and refused to leave, he finally called someone who gave him the ok to release the truck. Then he said that he didn't have the dolly. I went home and complained by phone to a competent UHaul help person who straightened that problem out. I had to go back to the Mini Mart for the dolly and blankets that were at the pickup location the whole time! What a fiasco!!Laura A.

The location was about to close and instead of redoing the contract the guy by the name of Mario signed the contract stating I was going to be reimbursed. A month later now and I still haven't seen anything yet after calls and calls to and hours on holdPablo M.

when I picked up truck there was only 1/4 tank gas. When I got to place I was moving from I put keys in cup holder and got out not locking door. When I went to get in truck it was locked with keys inside. I went to am pm where I rented and they had no spare key. Told me I would have to get locksmith. If I had purchased insurance they could unlock me. This site used to be a uhaul store... now it is a AM PM store. I have rented trucks many times in last 3 years and this time I was dissatisfied. Then when I drop off in San Clemente they told me I was good to go then today I see they charged my checking account 20 more!Danni H.

The man working the counter told me he couldn't take the truck because his computer was down, he didn't offer me any options and continued talking and joking with one of his customers buying beer at the mini mart. I suggested he write the truck mileage and gas down and call someone or enter it into the system once his computer was fixed. He laughed and said it didn't work that way and that we were out of luck. I made a few calls to U-haul for help and was eventually forwarded to U-haul regional who asked that I hand my cellphone to the guy at the counter. About this time another guy who had been going through a dumpster the whole time we were there walked in and asked the counter guy if he should write down the mileage and gas. The counter guy agreed and said my partner will help you, give him the truck keys. The dumpster guy then climbed into the truck and wrote down the information on a scrap of trash. Between puffs of his cigarette, the dumpster guy said we had to clean the back of the truck out which looked clean to us as we just moved furniture. We wiped down the back of the truck with rags and then waited for the counter guy to come out, return my cellphone, and tell us it was OK to leave. The entire experience was negative and time consuming and not something I wanted to deal with after moving furniture all day.Brexon N.

Gas station/Mini Mart where only one person working the counter to help you and the mini mart customers at the same time. Waited over 30 minutes to finally get the truck. Mini mart computer was also slow. I believe I was over charged for rental. Will never use this location again.James H.

I had to wait almost an hr before I got the truck. The clerk was working the register while he was trying to rent out the truck. I only had 3 hrs before my storage closed and the process cut that down to 2 hrs. I would have been nice if they had another employee to work the register while he checked out the uhaul. And dropping it off was the same thing. My wait time wasn't as long however every time a customer came in the store he stopped helping so he could ring them up. I was almost late to take my grandkids to school.roxan C.

I would never set foot in this location again. the person closing out my order did not know what he was doing he had to call someone on the phone to get help. it is a gas stain for one thing and he was helping the whole world before me. he took his time while my kids and husband were sitting in the car waiting for me. he didn't even apologize about the wait. i would never recommend this location for anything (drop off, pick up, or gas)PAMELA S.

The one-way drop off site was closed and I had to get another site that was open. I was 6 miles over and charged a lite for that. I wish the starting location knew what was open at the end point better.kim G.

Although the salesperson was very pleasant, the computer was not working and it took a very long time to even get the truck. I was late returning the truck but as stated I didn't get it until later than I anticipated.Nadine S.
Vehicle was filthy inside and out. I received truck with less 1/4 tank of gas, but paper said I was receiving it with 1/4 tank. Why rent a vehicle with so little? Do you hope tha eventually a customer will return it with more than received? Mileage was written down so I was charged a lot more money for extra mileage. No one asked me to verify the starting miles, I just trusted that I wasn't being cheated by a national company. I rechecked mileage and I might have been over 10 miles because of where I lived compared to where I had to pick up the truck. Just a bad experience, not sure I will ever use u-haul again.CHARLES F.
