OBryan RThe A/C did not work. It was a HOT drive to Raleigh! The drive became dangerous when it started to rain and the defroster did not work causing the interior glass to fog over. You should never let a vehicle go out w/o a function g air conditioner. August in the south is HOT!

Timothy JBecause I was at work and missed a phone call regarding an extension the truck was reported stolen. Rented another truck online just to be told I couldn't by manager who took keys from me and returned truck in system which I was charged for an entire rental plus miles and I never left parking lot… this place is unprofessional and thieves. Furthermore got blocked from renting from U-Haul when I did nothing wrong
BENJAMIN BWhen someone has a reservation the truck should be there. We had a reservation with the Uhaul on Lafayette St. Our truck was not available when we arrived so we had to travel 5 miles out of our way to get a truck and the size we reserved was not available so we had to go bigger. The truck we ended up with was clean however it did not run well. We also did not get the appliance dolly I had requested.

Donna MI rented a U-Haul to travel roughly 50 miles to pick up a few heavy items to bring back to my home. I did the self pick up which was great for me because my work hours are odd. Uoo pon getting into the truck I was overwhelmed with the smell of cigarettes and the sight of crumbs from the previous user. As soon as I crank the car on, the check engine light comes on. I bring my truck home, open the back and realize this truck is filled with someone else's furniture items. I call the 24/7 U-Haul help line, after about 30 mins I speak to someone who says that if the truck is running fine, I should be okay to use it and I won't be liable for damage to these furniture items. The following morning, I drive the truck to my destination into the loading dock, sure enough the truck cuts completely off, and proceeds to cut off 3-4 additional times after that. Luckily I was able to make it home, I assume there is a problem with reversing the truck or something. Unfortunate experience at this location.

Bill WIf I could rate U-Haul overall I would rate it poor a 0. This location and site manager were amazing to deal with. I had a reservation to pick my truck up on Friday for mobile pickup. The truck was no where to be found I was reserved to three other locations without consent that were over an hour away from my location. U-Haul hung up on me twice during 15 minute duration calls. They did nothing to apologize or rectify the issue.

Freda HEverything was great until I got behind in my payments which was fully my fault but the communication was totally off because they made me believe they auctioned off my unit way sooner then it was they sent me an email saying it was being aunction in July but it never was until January because they had to put a lien against it first so when I found that out it was too late because by then the lien was put in and it was actually being auctioned off and the amount owed I couldn't afford to pay the next day after finding all this out so that was definitely a big problem for me because if I would've known my stuff was still there I could've paid a lot sooner and I'm sure a lot less so if you all actually read these comments maybe this will help with better communicating the steps of the auction process sending emails months prior to an actual auctioning is not the right thing to do I don't know if that's what you do to everyone or if it was a mistake but it was done so that's something to be aware of and pay better attention to next time. Anyhow it was an decent unit it's outside so you do have place things in a certain way to not be on the ground and you have to make sure you have pest repellent to protect your things as well.

RHONDA G | Expérience généraleNot happy that I made a to pay the rent one day at the first of the month and she informed me that if it wants weren’t moved out by the second that it was in the contract that they were given a refund I did not know the girl was going to move out that soon but they should be some kind of lenience to Pay one day move out the next so she could refund some money no I’m not happy no I would not recommend anyone to rent from y’all
JULIE C | Expérience généraleLiterally the worst experience I’ve had with U-Haul probably will not use them again website wasn’t working right and people that tried to help couldn’t and had to wait an extra day to get rental and just overall not good not happy about the situation but tried to make the best of it
Paul BSelf check-in with App worked great. Simple to use and efficient. Customer Service rep was great in allowing a much more convenient location to our final destination, one of the great perks with UHaul...many locations to choose from.

JONAH RWhen you have nothing and your going to lose everything like in a sewage flood we felt this place was the best we could get and they helped us when we were needing a unit same day as the flood. Sadly the rat bait was unaffective that they threw in our unit. Roaches & Rats were big especially in our unit. We did not have any cardboard etc luckily we had decent hard plastic totes in there. You couldnt go to the managers building to talk to someone from the inside unless by vehicle triggering door sensor and even if you wanted too.... We were told a manager of many would be on-site.....when we went by the small manager building there was a sign up that said "closed call this #"..... i understand the units are unconditioned but we also had the unit with a big dent near the side of it and on the panel above it. It was not a super bad place, but there are several rooms for improvement. Also improving their security cam system....i saw as little cams as possible and in my opinion it doesnt matter how cheap the location is but rather that their property is well in security for the units they do have occupied as that is another big factor people look at when needing a place to store their belongings.

DIANE H | Expérience généraleThere were water damage on some of my boxes. I had a box with clothes and there were water damage on the box. I had to toss out the box due to strong smell of mold and mildred. There was a water leakage problem. I had to fight off a lot of spiders off my stuff before loading it on the truck. Sometimes access to the gate wasnt working. We had the storage for about 10 months.

brittany c | Expérience généraleThe only online check in and check out did not work on my phone for whatever reason. The contract never came through by email and none of the steps worked for checking in and checking out. The location and equipment and person helping were great, but the UHaul "contactless" platform itself made things really extra stressful. It is not set up to work in more country locations where there is poor cell service. I was worried the whole time I would get an extra charge because I missed some step because none of the links worked like they should. Luckily the people working at the site were very helpful.

Steve M | Expérience généraleThis was not the location I scheduled to pickup from. I didn't realize that Uhaul had change the location to one where I had to drive a lot farther to pickup the truck. Uhaul should do a better job of getting the equipment where the customer scheduled pickup location.

KIMBER LSuper convenient for my location, wish I would have been able to use this location for my previous drop-off a few days prior. Rep was friendly and efficient. No hassle drop-off.

David H | Réservationwhen the customer updates their phone number with a customer service representative over the phone and on their account online as well it would help if you actually called the new number to tell them they have to drive to the middle of nowhere to pick up their equipment instead of where they originally thought they were supposed to go. then it would help if you didn't have to wait for 45 minutes for the computer to update after you already were put an hour behind because the lack of a phone call. then it would help if the truck wasn't parked on a hill when they Mark the fuel gauge so you don't run out of gas 2 miles down the road. And it would also help if the brakes actually worked and the thing didn't steer like a school bus. Next time I'll just use Penske. Even if it is more expensive.
