The customer service person that called me to redirect me to this location assured me they would have an appliance dolly. They did not it made the day EXTREMELY hard

I was charged for the dolly when I ended up not using the dolly, as evidenced by the dolly still being wired to the truck. I signed up for 24/7 truck rental, but was switched over to hand delivery without notice. This was an issue due to the location not opening till an hour later than my reservation, putting me and the movers I hired behind. Felt there was little customer service or support as a customer. I felt more like a quota number than a person renting. Felt like I was supposed to know how the whole renting system works when I had no clue at all. Was not a smooth experience at all!

Pretty tight area, specially with no visual managment or other indication where to go and no help or guidance. Then they turn douchey when they notice your not putting equipment where they want it. I Cant read minds and the place is congested in front so not even close to obvious where to go. They can just keep it. If i gotta ever drop there again, ima do it at their front door!

Not knowingly give a broken truck to your customers. I was stuck in the heat for 2 hours at the storage unit with a broken down uhaul truck so I lost hours of moving and not to mention I paid a decent amount of money for a crappy vehicle. The location knew this vehicle had problems.

Pictures on link to verify and finish contractual delivery were Pictures From a different location that showed no damage or scratches with clean interior of trailer. I disputed in verification and added current pictures. Scratches on trailer that some were already identified with their X markers and included dirty interior not cleaned with trash inside. It would not let me include more than 1 of interior. Was told I could return to same location in parking lot that I picked up. When I returned and went inside to let them know I had returned it and parked it at same point I picked it up (Where I was told to park it the day prior). The woman that operates this UHaul insisted I remount trailer and park it around the rear of business. My reply was "I had already returned as instructed the day prior by her. Have a nice day." I was then threatened with added financial charges. The husband of said woman ran out as I was leaving to take pictures of trailer. I reminded him then that I returned it in the same condition as received and had before and after pictures. Have a nice day! This is the Only Uhaul rental location on Miles Jamison Road Summerville SC 29485.

The truck was not examined upon our return of the truck. We were then charged for damage that we were told we did. NO damage was made to the truck while in our possesion. I made a complaint and NEVER heard back from UHAUL. I WILL not recomment Uhaul to anyone. You did not follow through on my claim, not even to say you were not going to investigate further. Just nothing.

This overall was a horrible rental experience. Booked online for Summerville Central Ave location. Was informed uhaul rep would need to contact us, which never happened. I reached out 2 weeks later and was told my reservation got moved to Summerville Gum St location. When I called there I was told there was a possibility I couldn't pick up the truck after 5p like my reservation stated. Paul was very unprofessional and offered no alternatives to help guarantee we could get a truck. I was told another truck could be in the way and he had no further explanation. I transferred the reservation to Summerville Trolley Rd. That location helped me transfer the reservation and were very professional. ( I only found that location by driving by and seeing the size truck I needed). When my husband went to pick up the truck at that location using the app, the truck number we were assigned wasn't able to be located. Therefor our reservation was transferred to the Mike's Jamison Rd. Once we got the truck we were happy. This rental and pick up process needs to change.

The gentleman had no clue what he was doing. Apparently his wife was telling him what to do over the phone from her hospital bed!!! It was unprofessional and the parking area is nonexistent for customers. K

My return location was originally Address: SOUNDWORX 709 MILES JAMISON RD SUMMERVILLE, SC 29485 However, the day prior I received a text stating my new return location is now DA Shop Automotive Paint And Bodycraft 1005 W 5TH NORTH ST SUMMERVILLE, SC 29483 I called SOUNDWORX to verify and was told the change was correct because they have no room. Therefore, I drove out of my way to the new location which is quite far from my home; 6,3 miles away and about a 20 minute drive. When I arrived, I was turned away stating they have no room and I should take it to the place originally on my contract which was SOUNDWORX. This was a huge inconvenience for me as I was returning the trailer during my lunch hour. Not only did I use up more than my lunch hour time, I also used a lot more gas than what was necessary due to traveling across town only to go back to the other side of town! I would like to have some sort of compensation for my inconvenience!

Our reservation was at 9:30 am. We got there at 9:15 and didn't get our motorcycle trailer until almost 10:30 am. The approach to the whole process was very unorganized. The employee was not prepared and did not have working equipment. We even checked in online to make the process quicker. There was not enough room inside the building to hold all the people that were backing up.

Mulitiple pickups scheduled for the same time. One employee, who kept having to leave the desk to go check the equipment details. I had a 930 pickup time, arrived 30 minutes early, did not pickup until 10:30. (I also paid someone to swap places in line.).

The lady there was not professional and didn't want to accept the rental, i called 4 different uhaul and no one wanted to take it back, I called the uhaul in ky. Where I rented it, they helped me get it returned here, it took me 2 days to finally get it turned in. The main complaint in Charleston was that they had too many rentals and didn't have any room. Whoever's managing the Charleston area, needs to take care of problems like this, if the uhaul centers have too many rentals, they should make arrangements for then to be moved to other uhaul centers. I really had a bad experience trying to turn in my uhaul.

Worst service ever and lied about how I got the truck fuel. Return the truck with same amount of fuel I got and then charge me for gas saying I returned it with less gas. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

The whole process took me 3 and half hours to actually get my U-Haul. The first location I had my reserved truck didn't have the keys in the lock box and were closed. (The person renting the truck before extended their use of it and my reservation wasn't switched over to another truck or location) has to sit on the phone for an extra 30 minutes to get my info to another location. Once I drive the 10 minutes to the next location it was closed as well. So I had to spend another 20 minutes on the phone to get my reservation switch over to a third u haul place that was 40 minutes away and was finally able to get my truck.

I don't know why the woman from U-haul felt the need to bombard me in the parking lot as I got out of the car, looking for my phone to self check-in (at 11:37 am). She was practically yelling that she had a tournament she had to get to and she couldn't help me. The hours on google for this location are 11-3 on Sundays by the way. She made sure to let me know that I was an inconvenience to her tournament that she had to get right too, despite me not asking a soul for help. I would have preferred no contact at all over this piss-poor one. It was unnecessary, unprofessional, and rude.

My first location was max auto LLC in Summerville SC. When I got there at my pick up time of 10:00am no one was there for 45 minutes and when he did show up he was obviously drunk. Also to boot, my 26' truck that I reserved was not there. This set back my move by 3 hours till I found (by driving to every uhaul around me) this location which was great.
