rob rThe truck I picked up had cockroaches in it which required me to fumigate before packing. I also had to pick up the truck and tow dolly in two different locations which took away 10 miles from my authorized mileage costing me an overage of $10. There was absolutely no reason why the tow dolly couldn't have been relocated to the truck pick up location which is where I was GUARANTEED to have it. Customer service couldn't help at all. This was my worst U-haul experience!

All I want is what is owed to me I know I am owed money and she acts as though she does not want to give me my money

CHELSIE GI had two issue with this location. There was no indication of signs of where the rental truck were parked. There was only one close to the building, so I figured that was the one I rented. When the key did not fit and I went back to the office no one was there. I had to call U-Haul. The person then showed back up and made it seem like it was my fault for not knowing that the trucks were parked probably 100+ years away from the building set back behind a fence. They were not visible from the office building. My second issue may not be the fault of this location. There is/was a n issue with the A/C in the truck. When you drive at low speeds (50 or below) the air works correctly. When you got up above that the air stopped blowing. Since I was drive 300+ miles and most of it was interstate I did not have A/C on most of my trip. I was forced to roll down the window.

Donn SRob at Southern Automotive was Awesome very helpful. However when I booked the reservation I went into a different place at (J&J Rentals), when I went in to pick it up at J&J they sent me to Southern Automotive the morning of pickup. That was frustrating but it worked out.

Ryan Hwe wanted to pick up in Dothan and it got changed to 25 miles away I had to call to get the extra mileage. This owner shared with me why he got the reroute and was very nice. He opened up just for our pickup. Disappointed in the reservation part of the experience. Stores should not have the choice to force us to go to another location because they Don't want a smaller job.
William ROverall Southern Automotive is satisfactory. The equipment was in poor condition. Subfloor seeds shot out of the defroster when I turned it on, nail clippings in the seats, over run with ants, and the windshield wiper flow off during a storm. Not to mention the check engine light came on half way thru my trip. I replaced the wiper at the next truck stop. When I picked up the truck Southern Automotive informed me the truck was a recovery and that people were living in it as early as the day before. Uhaul must ensure the safety and cleanliness of its vehicles prior to renting them back out.

Julia BHe was rude, told me I need to get a bigger phone because I couldn't see the email contract. I ask him too print it for me but said his printer wasn't hooked up, and then I said I'll call uhaul and then he printed it out. He didn't show me the inside of the truck and it was parked so far from the building, I had to drive to get too it. He wasn't nice, but my truck was clean when I checked it. I wouldn't want to go their again to get a uhaul.

Samuel FThe trailer had a taillight out when I got it, they attempted to fix it on the spot. It worked when I left, but the fix didn't hold. It stopped working while I was pulling the car and I was pulled over for improper lights.

ROBERT TThe location I got the truck from was great. I called a different office that was closer to my resident where I was moving from thinking that was where I would pick up the truck. I got a text message stating the pick up location was about 6 miles from my home. To say the least I was not pleased with the service. When I drove by the location I had contacted to reserve the truck they had a truck sitting on their lot.
james mThe place first sent me 20 minutes down the road only to return to the same location took right at 3 hours to get the contract done the guy working the computer didn't have a clue then I open the truck the smell of roach spray was overwhelming ants and roaches all over the inside of the truck

Hiram JAlthough Southern Automotive Services is a smaller car repair shop primarily, the front part of the shop was very presentable, clean, and organized. The part that really makes this shop outstanding was the service by both owner and the rest of the team. The assistance I received and the friendly, professional, courteous, and downright southern hospitality of the entire Southern Automotive Services team makes this definitely a location I would visit again and recommend to others.
Martien HThe address I was given was not this location. 570 HWY 84 E DALEVILLE, AL 36322 Is the address I was given and the place wasn't open. I called him and he informed that I should just drop it off and he would take care of it Monday. He apparently did not and I received several calls asking where the dolly was located. I believe it's Roberts auto service and it is a horrible company. Please stop doing business with them.
