CRAIG L.I forgot to tell them that the transmission in the 15' box truck needs to be serviced. The engine was having a hard time changing gears. The rpm's would reach 3000 before the engine would automatically down shift.

Pat D.The man that hooked up the uhaul was condescending. I've rented uhaul trailers a couple of other times. This man spoke to me like I was an ignorant woman. He didn't take up the slack in the chain. I got 1/2 way to my location then had a car pull up along side of me beeping to get my attention. The chain was dragging on the ground causing sparks. I had to stop to check it out. I had to take the padlock off of the back door to use it to pick up the chain and secure it. That left the door unsecured while driving on a toll road until I could find a place to purchase another lock.

The online checkin method was not working properly and requested a second form of ID verification, which on a Saturday and away from from was nearly impossible! The lady performing the rental was a rockstar! She definitely saved the day by setting me up with the proper service contract and making it almost the best I have every had renting a U-Haul. The only things that you could do is not have some ridiculous requests from a return customer who has an online profile on your systems.

ROBERT MICHAEL-G F.I have used uhaul for years. I have never felt cheated until now. When we got the truck it had a quarter of a tank of gas. The paper work said so also. We took it back with a quarter of a tank and they said it was a eighth of a tank and marked that. I got charged another $58 because of a lie. I feel cheated.

Michael B.Overall the location was easy to access and had very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The truck was not in good shape. It smelled awful of burning coolant, the dashboard was loose, and the mirrors were stuck and couldn't adjust. The truck was fairly clean but overall awful experience driving.
Ryan M.I won't do the check out through the app again. It took nearly an hour, but my return time wasn't increased so we were able to use only 3 hours of a 4 hour rental. The staff there could have done it much faster.

ANTHONY W.I think it is a little bit unfair to be ten minutes late in returning the truck and because of that, having to pay for an extra day on the truck and the insurance. We were unable to leave Chicago (our destination) earlier, because we were waiting for some movers to come and unload the truck. When we saw we couldn't make it by 8:00 pm, (it was 8:10 when we went past Southside Marathon and had been told ahead of time if we were not there at exact time that we would have the extra charge…so it's not that we weren't forewarned, we just couldn't do anything about it. Thus, we just drove it home and took it back the next morning. So, I think it would be far kinder of Uhaul to prorate late fees. Even if you charged for an extra half day it would have been better than nothing. That's my only negative about our whole experience. Cruise control would be nice but I'm sure from a liability standpoint you have chosen not to equip the trucks with that.

BARRY LYNN B.I checked in online and we fought with the lady for 30 minutes because even though they were getting our truck ready and the keys with our truck number on them were sitting there, she kept telling us we didn't have a reservation. She tried to sign us up for a new reservation and wanted to charge our card again even though I had almost $70 on hold, eventually she just gave us a truck and we had to call our furniture store and beg them to stay open late to pick our new furniture up.
